Cyberpunk 2077 Leaks Hints at Omitted Missions Set on the Moon

0

According to Insider Gaming, concept art, blueprints, file repositories, and map data that have appeared online seem to allude to a potentially shelved Cyberpunk 2077 expansion that would have allowed players to go far beyond Night City.

The moon is a well-known hub that is reasonably accessible to those with sufficient funds. It is mentioned only once in the game, however a few missions hint at off-planet locales. In those files were missions in the moon which is missing from the game.

Moon has been a great location for the game but if we were to have a mission, it would have been an excellent location. While the game has managed to miss out on it, a sequel might be a good point to introduce it into the main storyline.

As things stand, it is unlikely that the game will get any more major expansion packs that might introduce it in the game. The Netflix adaptation has introduced several avenues for the developers to explore so only time can tell if the developers utilise it to make the game more fun to play.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Trailer is now the Most-Watched Trailer in COD History

0

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 heralds the return of the Black Ops franchise. Black Ops is arguably the most loved COD franchise after Modern Warfare as it offers a very different take on storylines and playstyle. While they walked on a different path with Black Ops 3, the following games in the franchise aimed to correct their course.

Black Ops 6 has been one of the most highly anticipated games of the year and Activision seems to be on top of it. Suffice it to say that the trailer they released was a banger and it’s no surprise that it has surpassed other trailers in terms of views.

Black Ops 6 will be the first-ever first-person shooter game on Xbox Game Pass and is expected to launch on day one for the first time in Call of Duty history. This implies that the game will be available for free to all current members of Game Pass.

The game will follow the events of Black Ops Cold War, a game that was well received by the community though the success of Modern Warfare seems to have overshadowed it. Black Ops 6 will be released to put the franchise back on the map as B01 and B02 are the games often found in the conversation for the best CODs of all time.

Ahri Ban Rates Skyrocket As LoL Players Protest $500 Skin

In the short time since its release, the Immortalized Legends Ahri skin has found itself hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons. This new League of Legends bundle, created to honor esports legend Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok, has become the center of controversy due to its exorbitant price tag of approximately $435 USD.

A good portion of the LoL community was outraged at the release of the new Ahri bundle, with some fans accusing Riot Games of having “0 shame” and calling the IL collection “borderline illegal”. Additionally, some players claimed that the new bundle violates consumer protection laws in their country.

The League of Legends community was swift to come up with a form of protest against the new Ahri bundle, with many players deciding to permaban Ahri in every game they play.

With the Ahri skin hitting the League of Legends store on June 12th, the community’s protest became evident. A glance at the current ban rates of champions shows that Ahri’s ban rate has skyrocketed from under 7% to over 20% within the past few days.

https://twitter.com/Caedrel/status/1801134880278942119

With Riot Games introducing an entirely new skin-tier for the release of the new Ahri skin, more premium skins of this nature will likely follow in the future. Nevertheless, given the community’s strong backlash, the developers may reassess their pricing strategy and how these skins are perceived by players moving forward.

BLAST Bounty 2025: Everything You Need to Know about the New CS2 Event

With the impending loss of the CS2 partner system BLAST has revealed a significant overhaul to its 2025 structure at the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024, giving viewers a preview of what to anticipate from BLAST’s CS2 schedule next year.

3 teams from the Valve Global Ranking and 2 wildcard teams—will be invited to the competition. The online competition will feature a best-of-three single-elimination tournament, with quarterfinalists advancing to a LAN hosted by BLAST Studios in Copenhagen.

Teams will get a reward according to their seeding at the beginning of the BLAST reward CS2 competitions. Winners of the match will get a guaranteed monetary prize of 50% of their opponent’s bounty; the remaining 50% will be added to the bounty of the winning team.

Lower-ranked teams have two options: they can go for the money against more difficult opponents, or they can go for another lower-ranked team for an easier run. Recall that prize money won determines the Valve Global Ranking, so this could be a terrific method to rise through the ranks.

A choice-based seeding system is unlike anything we have seen in esports. BLAST deserves the credit for coming up with an incredibly creative method that challenges teams at the most fundamental level. However, teams are yet to react to this announcement and its reception is still up in the air.

How To Get Firebug Thorax in Dota 2 Crownfall Act 2?

0

A few weeks have passed since Valve released the highly anticipated Crownfall Act 2 update for Dota 2, and most players of the MOBA are reaching the end of Dragonus’ adventures in the Deserts of Druud.

Once you reach Snapfire’s questline in the event, she will task you with solving a series of challenges to gather ingredients for crafting a mysterious potion. The final step in completing the questline involves obtaining the Firebug Thorax, one of the key ingredients for the recipe.

The Firebug Thorax is the toughest ingredient to find on the Dota 2 Crownfall Act 2 map, which is why many players have been facing some serious difficulties when trying to gather this final ingredient for Snapfire’s potion.

In this article, we take a look at how you can get the Firebug Thorax in Dota 2, and how you can catch it without it flying away from you.

Dota 2 Crownfall Act 2 Firebug Thorax Location

To find the Firebug Thorax in Dota 2, you’ll have to head inside the volcano located near the start of the Snapfire’s Caravan questline in Crownfall Act 2. Note that you’ll have to enter the volcano with your characters to see the contents inside it.

Once you’re in the volcano, you’ll be able to easily identify the Firebug Thorax, which appears to be an orange bug resting inside the volcano walls.

How To Catch the Firebug Thorax in Dota 2 Crownfall Act 2

Now that you’ve found the Firebug Thorax in Dota 2, the next step is to catch it. This can get tricky since the Firebug Thorax is quick to fly away from your cursor before you can get the chance to catch it.

To successfully catch the Firebug Thorax in Dota 2, you’ll have to move your cursor slowly to avoid scaring off the bug. Once you approach the Firebug Thorax, just click on it to catch it and it will automatically be added to your Crownfall Act 2.

Once you get the Firebug Thorax, all that’s left for you to do is visit Snapfire to complete the questline.

Kick Employee Responds to Twitch CEO Claiming Poached Streamers Will Return

Twitch CEO was confident when claiming that Kick can suffer the same fate as Mixer with streamers as they might come back to the Amazon-owned streaming platform once their contract ends. However, Kick is confident about retaining their position upon the expiration of their contracts.

“I think it is a complete mistake to say, ‘The live stream market is fixed, I’m just going to take what the other guy has,’” Clancy said in a June 13 interview. “As soon as [Kick] stops paying them, they’re going to come right back.”

Surprisingly, Kick has doubled down on this strategy, and streamers leaving happens to be a part of their business plan.  Kick’s Head of Strategic Partnerships, Andrew Santamaria, agrees with Twitch’s CEO on this and further explains their strategy.

“As business evolves, people will cross-pollinate to other places. That’s a fact. Actors switch to different studios. That’s the beautiful thing about competition,” he explained.

“We enter into contracts with people, and not everyone can be a winner, but at the same time, if they add Kick to their diet like they are, that’s a win for us. That’s a win for the industry.”

“This is damage control. This is fantastic. Here’s the other thing, when people go back to other platforms, wherever they came from, we’re still part of the streaming diet,” he reiterated. “That’s a massive win for everyone.”

Kick has pulled some of Twitch’s biggest names, but only time can tell if they will continue to stream there after their contract expires or head back to the purple side.

International Olympic Committee Proposes Creation of Olympic Esports Games

0

The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has proposed the creation of the “Olympic Esports Games” to the 142nd IOC Session. This proposal is set to be voted on at the 142nd IOC Session at the 142nd IOC Session during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. With the IOC already in advanced talks with a potential host, an official announcement is expected shortly after final approvals are secured.

IOC Proposes Launch of Olympic Esports Games for Paris 2024

IOC President Thomas Bach expressed his enthusiasm for the Olympic Esports Games. He highlighted how the Olympic Esports Games aligns with the digital revolution. “With the creation of Olympic Esports Games, the IOC is taking a major step forward and is keeping up with the pace of the digital revolution. We are very excited how enthusiastically the esports community represented in our Esports Commission has engaged with this initiative. This is further proof of the attractivity of the Olympic brand and the values it stands for,” he said.

Since 2018, the IOC has been integrating esports into its framework. The journey towards the Olympic Esports Games began with the Esports Forum in Lausanne, followed by the establishment of the Esports Liaison Group to engage with various stakeholders. This group evolved into the IOC Esports Commission, chaired by IOC Member David Lappartient. In 2021, the IOC launched the Olympic Virtual Series, marking its first venture into esports and paving the way for the Olympic Esports Games.

The IOC introduced the Olympic Esports Week in Singapore in June 2023. This event was a significant success, featuring live finals with over 130 players competing in 10 mixed-gender categories, cheered on by a full house of fans and a massive online audience. The series attracted over 500,000 unique participants and generated more than six million views, with a substantial portion of the audience aged 13 to 34.

The Esports Commission, upon the directive of the IOC President, has swiftly developed a concrete proposal for the Olympic Esports Games. This new entity will operate under a dedicated structure within the IOC, separate from the traditional organizational and financial model of the Olympic Games.
