The Turkish government has banned one of the most popular gaming platforms, Roblox.

The platform has been scrutinized for a while over its content moderation policies, especially concerning the majority of the users being youth. Critics have always focused on the decline of the platform in terms of its security measures to separate kids from mature content and child labor.

Lawsuits compounded problems with the platform, especially with a class-action lawsuit overturning in-app purchases. Even though Roblox settled, the main issues were yet to be addressed.

Apart from this, there were claims of virtual pedophilia networks operating using Robux, the game’s primary digital currency, as a platform. The state’s legitimate response was to stress its concern over the risk to children that such activities pose in connection with the website.

The Turkish Government report of the ban finally met the public through Roblox, which also assured the ban’s verification with the Turkish authorities. As the event progresses, the side effects become larger for both Roblox and its community.

IShowSpeed Takes on 2024 Paris Olympic Athlete Ewa Swoboda’s Challenge

Popular YouTuber IShowSpeed was recently challenged by an Olympic track athlete and the YouTuber went on to accept the challenge!

IShowSpeed has been unhinged ever since the beginning when his one-of-a-kind shenanigans often broke the internet. He has been seen appearing at the Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling Competition 2024 ending in the fourth position and even managed to beat the fastest Norwegian national football player in a race!

Very recently Speed’s YouTube channel was banned due to a jump stunt that did not sit well with YouTube, but his relentless attitude has never stopped him from demonstrating his abilities out in the world, let alone a track course this time.

In a tweet that IShowSpeed posted where he claimed that “no point in life” has he ever lost a race, a 2024 Paris Olympics athlete – a track and field sprinter, Ewa Swoboda called him out with a challenge to the YouTuber mentioning that she’d “maybe run with him” considering he showed up in Poland and participated in the RMF FM radio contest. 

She went on to add that “there will be a race at the Silesian Stadium, where the winners of the contest will run 100 meters with me, so maybe he still has time to sign up”

This deferred conversation between the two went on for a while post which IShowSpeed posted this on his Twitter handle: 

He seems to have messaged the athlete asking “You wanna race me?” and has ever since not updated anyone on whether he has received a response. The community seems to be excited about how the RFM FM Radio contest is set to take place on August 24, 2024, where they expect this crazy crossover to grace everyone in reality.

Furia Wins the Brazilian Derby

The Brazilian derby in IEM Cologne play-ins had one of the best teams for the region in Furia facing Imperial who has impressed in their recent matches, especially after changing the season break.

Map 1: Dust 2; Pick – Imperial; Winner – Imperial

Furia started their rival’s pick with a pistol round win and followed it up with another round upon which it was all Imperial as they went on to put together a streak of 9 rounds only letting one slip by their hands.

The story did not change in the second half as Imperial went on a winning streak to close out the map in no time. Imperial won the map with a strong 13-3 scoreline.

Map 2: Nuke; Pick – Furia; Winner – Furia

Following a disastrous defeat, Furia got back on their feet in their map pick. Having traded a few rounds earlier in the match they were able to put together a few rounds and movies onto the second half with a narrow 2-round lead.

While Furia couldn’t get comfortable in the second half but managed to scratch and claw their way to narrowly edge out fellow South Americans. Off the back of an amazing performance by FalleN, Furia took home their map pick with a 13-11 scoreline.

Map 3: Inferno; Pick – Decider; Winner – Furia

A complete shutdown by Furia. Little to say for Imperial as Furia ran a picture-perfect T side and cut no slacks for the pistol round that followed. A thorough and well-executed T side saw them take home 12 rounds in the first half and a quick pistol round win to seal a 13-0 victory over their rivals.

IEM Cologne 2024 Play-in: Eternal Fire Takes Down Falcons

XANTARES-powered Eternal Fire takes down new-look Falcons as they progress ahead in IEM Cologne play-ins. This win puts the Turkish side one step closer to the playoffs in the Cathedral which starts this weekend.

Falcons started Vertigo with a pistol-round victory but things quickly turned sour. Eternal Fire showed up with a clear plan on their well-drilled T side, that picked apart any plans of defense that Falcons had in their minds. XANTARES led the scoreboard as everyone chimed in with their share of frags.

Moving to the CT side, Eternal Fire had everything and only lost the pistol round before they got back to winning ways. Once they won their first round, things went smoothly till they closed the game by putting together a streak of 5 rounds.

Map 2: Nuke; Pick – Falcons; Winner – Falcons

Falcons took Eternal Fire as their go-to pick of Nuke, which paid off. Having won 9 rounds on their offense in a CT-favored map, they were in a prime position to close the match once things went to the second half.

Falcons were able to fight back, thanks to the force buy round they converted but that made little dents to the results which otherwise was a one-sided run down of the Turkish side. The Falcons closed the game with a scoreline of 13-8.

Map 3: Dust 2; Pick – Decider; Winner – Eternal Fire

After a beatdown on Nuke, Eternal Fire was able to get back on their feet with a good scoreline in the first half. Both teams traded rounds until the half ran out to reach a very narrow score difference. EF walked away with 7 rounds keeping Falcons at a backfoot.

EF extended their lead to 10 rounds before the Falcons could come up with anything to break their defence upon which both teams exchanged rounds that led them to win the game with a 13-11 close scoreline.

Gone are the days when we created generic players. Madden 25 puts out a whole, new, well-developed character-generation system with the starting archetypes. Players are empowered to equalize different levels of pro-attributes to a play style, which will best fit on the track.

Madden 25 Superstar Mode Changes

This facet of the design makes it a guaranteed distinctive process so that every player, the person who wants to catch up with the leader in the race, will have a different track to do so. IShowSpeed Banned from YouTube: Car Stunt Controversy Explodes

Speed’s editor slips just posted a screenshot of Speed’s Youtube channel dashboard online, and it immediately went viral. Users couldn’t help but point out the sense of irony in the way that the account was being treated by YouTube. 

Speed however, has himself not addressed the ban which was based on speculation and some information – given out for his stunt stream where he jumped over his Ronaldo-wrapped Lamborghini followed by a Mclaren. 

In some edited clips, the footage even had disclaimers about how users shouldn’t attempt to try these on their own, but YouTube did not seem to enjoy the way the video was presented. 

Although the stunt was a follow-up to a video he had posted back in July where he’d jumped over his Lamborghini, which was something that Youtube had already age-restricted. Despite this, Watkins still received a ban for his stunt. Partly another reason is also because of Speed’s fame which leads to him constantly being under the radar. 

Some people even went on to point out how the videos had some police vehicles in the background which implied that he went through all the necessary measures that had to be taken in terms of safety and permissions for his plans. Because the ban was YouTube’s, not some other creator’s, the sole reason might not just be that Speed had broken the law. 

This event shifted the focus onto other content creators who’ve done way worse, such as Dr.Disrespect – and have seemingly gotten away with it, which just sheds light on the potential double standards maintained by YouTube – which is yet to address this issue publicly.

A recent leak led to the unexpected reveal of all the achievements and trophies in Black Ops 6 all set for release in October

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is the next highly anticipated installment of the Call of Duty franchise, set to launch on October 24, 2024, as a part of day one of Xbox game pass. 

Despite being so close to the launch day, massive leaks have impacted Activision’s planned details for the game such as scorestreaks and the in-game perks. Along with this, a new leak has revealed all of the Black Ops 6 achievements and trophies, which usually is a part of the excitement when unpacking a new game bundle. 

Even an account on X, a reputable Call of Duty leaker “Forward” leaked a list of all the Trophies and achievements for Black Ops 6. 

Here is a list of all of the artifacts that were leaked, but take them with a pinch of salt since they are only what they are after all – unofficial leaks.

MIBR Send Heroic To Lower Bracket With 2-1 Win at IEM Cologne 2024

MIBR has taken down Heroic in their first upper bracket best-of-three at the play-in stage of IEM Cologne 2024. MIBR will move on to face 9z Team in the next round of the upper bracket, while Heroic fights for survival in the lower bracket.

Game 1: Ancient (Pick: MIBR, Win: Heroic, Final Score: 13-10)

Heroic kicked off their CT-side of Ancient on the right foot by securing the pistol round, but a force-buy from MIBR was enough to shut them down as the latter snatched the lead for themselves by shattering Heroic’s economy. After MIBR had won six consecutive rounds in a row, Heroic tried to retaliate but still ended the first half trailing 4-8.

Heroic regained their composure on the T-side of Ancient, grabbing four rounds in a row before MIBR could grab a single round in the second half. Heroic maintained their momentum throughout the second half, and left little room for error as they mounted a comeback to steal the first game right from under their enemies’ noses, finishing with a score of 13-10.

Despite being on the losing side, Felipe “insani” Yuji dominated the leaderboard with a K/D of 23/17.

Game 2: Mirage (Pick: Heroic, Win: MIBR, Final Score: 13-10)

While MIBR found themselves a great start following a pistol-round win on the CT-side of Mirage, Heroic managed to bounce back swiftly, winning five rounds in a row and setting up an evenly matched second half with a 6-6 score.

MIBR looked much more comfortable on their T-side of the map, winning the pistol round and denying the Heroic force-buy to extend their lead to 9-6. Heroic could only grab a single round before MIBR secured game 2 with a comfortable lead of 13-7.

Insani was at the top of the leaderboard once again with a K/D of 18/10 and an impressive ADR of 118.4.

Game 3: Anubis (Win: MIBR, Final Score: 13-7)

A pistol-round win and a failed force-buy attempt from Heroic enabled MIBR to grab an early 3-0 lead on the CT side of Anubis. However, Heroic weren’t willing to give up that easily, as they equalized the score over the next three rounds before taking the lead for themselves. MIBR managed to win the last couple of rounds to head into the second half on an even playing field with a 6-6 score.

The second half of Anubis was a one-sided domination from MIBR, as Heroic could only grab a single round throughout the second half as MIBR secured the game 13-7.

Rafael “saffee” Costa performed incredibly on the final map with a 19/8 K/D.
