Vitality Crush SAW 2-0 to Clinch Finals Spot in IEM Cologne 2024

The semi-finals of IEM Cologne 2024 showcased a masterclass from Team Vitality, who dominated SAW 2-0 in the BO3, securing their spot in the grand finals. Here’s everything you need to know about the intense showdown between the two teams.

Map Veto

  • SAW banned Mirage
  • Vitality banned Ancient
  • SAW picked Nuke
  • Vitality picked Dust2
  • SAW banned Inferno
  • Vitality banned  Vertigo
  • Anubis was left over

Game 1: Nuke (Pick: SAW, Win: Vitality, Final Score: 13-6)

SAW kicked off their map pick on the right foot with a pistol-round win on the T-side of Nuke, shutting down Vitality’s force-buy that followed. SAW could get a 3-0 lead for themselves before Vitality struck back, winning their first full-buy round and putting a dent in SAW’s economy to secure two more. While SAW tried to fight back by taking two rounds in a row, it wasn’t enough to halt Vitality’s momentum, who managed to grab the last four rounds to end the stronger side of Nuke with a slight lead of 7-5.

Vitality went into a rampage on their T-side of the map, starting with a pistol-round win and leaving little room for error for their Portuguese counterparts to capitalize. In fact, SAW could only secure one round throughout the second half of Nuke as Vitality closed out the game with a decisive score of 13-6.

Dan “apEX” Madesclaire dominated the leaderboard on Nuke with a solid K/D of 19/7.

Game 2: Dust2 (Pick: Vitality, Win: Vitality, Final Score: 13-5)

Team Vitality dominated the first half of Dust2, turning the game around after losing the initial pistol round on their T-side. They swiftly recovered by winning their force-buy round and then went on an unstoppable spree. SAW managed to secure only one more round in the entire half, leaving Vitality with a commanding 10-2 lead as they headed into the second half.

Despite losing the crucial pistol round in the second half of Dust2, SAW tried to retaliate with three consecutive round wins, fueled by an astonishing 4K by João “story” Vieira. However, it didn’t take long for Vitality to secure the two remaining rounds they needed to seal their 2-0 victory over SAW with a score of 13-5 on Dust2.

Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut and apEX shined the brightest on the Dust2 leaderboard, with the former getting a whopping 21 kills while only conceding 8 deaths.

How to Get the Katalina Skin Without a Phone in Fortnite?

0

Fortnite fans recently received the Katalina skin and associated cosmetics, a very cute bundle previously only available to mobile players. However, just now, a clever workaround has surfaced that will let players of all platforms get this highly-desired pack without ever owning a smartphone.

Now, a Katalina skin is available, and it was the reward for completing quests in the Fortnite mobile app as a celebration move from Epic Games for the game’s return to iOS devices within the EU. However, a player named ArcticPenguin has revealed a way through which you may get the said skin without ever touching a mobile phone.

How to Get the Katalina Skin Without a Phone in Fortnite?

Follow the steps mentioned below to get the skin:

  • Go to any Creative 1.0 (non-UEFN) map
  • Invite one of your friends and run a Private Game.
  • Ask your friend to leave the map and rejoin. (Remember you have to stay)
  • The Katalina quest will start working for your friend who rejoined the game.

Even though the comments are full of questions and a bit concerned with possible bans, the general impression of the players is that it’s a free skin, so the risk is low. Epic Games hasn’t said anything yet, so there is a bit of risk.

Mouz Upsets G2 to Reach IEM Cologne Semi-Finals

Defending champions G2 Esports are eliminated by a young and talented Mouz roster who overcame their curse of big games to take down the in-from team. With this win, Mouz has progressed to the semi-finals against NAVI with this being their highest-ever placement in an IEM event this season having struggled in the playoffs on multiple occasions leading upto IEM Cologne.

VETO

  • G2 removed Vertigo
  • MOUZ removed Anubis
  • G2 picked Dust2
  • MOUZ picked Mirage
  • G2 removed Nuke
  • MOUZ removed Ancient
  • Inferno was left over

Map 1: Dust 2; Pick: G2; Winner: Mouz

G2’s pistol round win was quickly answered with a force buy victory on the CT side by Mouz, followed by a conversion round from G2 that saw them go 4-1 up. G2 was able to hit back with a few rounds, but in the end, they walked out with a 7-5 lead.

Mouz on their offense was prolific, to say the least, they managed to steamroll G2 who only managed two rounds on their defense. G2 got close on multiple occasions but it wasn’t enough to keep Mouz at bay as they closed the map with a 13-9 score line. Jimpphat stood out as the best player with an IR of 1.54 securing 22 kills.

Map 2: Mirage; Pick: Mouz; Winner: Mouz

Despite a better start, G2 fell behind after the first gun round that saw Mouz take charge of the map. An even trade of rounds until Mouz was able to close out the first half with a lead. Similar to the first map, G2 despite cutting it close failed to edge out a lead as a similar 7-5 half bestowed upon us but favoring Mouz.

G2 got off to a better start, winning 3 rounds in a row off the back of a Pistol round win but since the first gun round of the half, Mouz put up a show, winning 6 rounds straight to win the map. G2 hardly got a bomb plant and found themselves on an eco for the better part of the half which said they bombed out of IEM Cologne.

Fortnite Iron Spider Skin: Release Date, Leaks, and More

Recent snippets from Fortnite have been featuring the Iron Spider skin leaks that have gone viral with the community eagerly waiting to get their hands on the latest bundle

Fortnite’s latest collaboration with Marvel Comics led to the brainchild which is “Absolute Doom”, the latest season which has brought Doctor Doom skins and exciting Battle pass rewards. This means beloved characters like Gwenpool, Emma Frost, Shuri, Mysterio are in the game, and of course, even the most exclusive Iron Spider skin is in the game, but – where?

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered on everything you need to know about Spiderman’s latest skin in Fortnite in Chapter 5 Season 4.

Where is the Iron Spider Skin in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4?

Well, here is the catch – the Iron Spider skin isn’t available in the game as of now – either in the battle pass or in the in-game shop. The circulating screenshots are either edited or are due to the speculations made by the popular Fortnite Leaker HYPEX who had shared this picture on X.

This post went viral on August 16th, where the image was posted with Peter Parker’s character model and in-game face visible. Ideally, players should be able to use this skin with the mask on, which seems more accurate based on Fortnite’s history with such collaborations – which seems to be the update that was shared by another popular Fortnite leaker IfireMonkey.

Not only have the skins been leaked but also additional cosmetics were a part of the leaks. Items such as the Iron Spider black bling, wrap, pickaxe, and even the guitar are used in the Fortnite Festival mode. However, we are yet to see the skin’s Lego Fortnite design.

Eventually, when the skin does drop in Chapter 5 Season 4, we are expecting it to be sold as the “Iron Spider skin” bundle in the in-game shop, with a hefty price of around 2000-3000 V bucks.

Along with this, rumors are already flying around that the Fantastic Four may also make an appearance within Fortnite very soon, and we here at Talkesport will make sure that you are updated on everything in Fortnite.

SAW Take Down FaZe 2-1 To Secure Semi-Final Spot At IEM Cologne 2024

FaZe has been eliminated from IEM Cologne 2024 following a heartbreaking 1-2 defeat to SAW in a nail-biter of a quarterfinal. Here’s everything that went down in the best-of-three showdown between the two teams.

Map Veto

  • FaZe banned Vertigo
  • SAW banned Mirage
  • FaZe picked Inferno
  • SAW picked Anubis
  • FaZe banned Dust2
  • SAW banned Ancient
  • Nuke was left over

Game 1: Inferno (Pick: FaZe, Win: SAW, Final Score: 13-6)

FaZe Clan secured a hard-fought pistol round to kick off the first map of the series on Inferno’s T-side with a win. A failed force-buy attempt from SAW put the Portuguese squad in a tough spot, but a surprise victory on the eco-round quickly put them back in the game. SAW showcased their dominance on the CT side of Inferno in the following rounds, taking the lead for themselves with some impenetrable site holds. FaZe could grab their third round after SAW had taken four rounds in a row, but the latter bounced right back, leaving little room for mistakes as they went into the second half of Inferno with a solid 8-4 lead.

With a pistol-round win on their T-side, SAW found themself in a comfortable position as they could extend their lead to 10-4. FaZe tried to get back into the game with a win on their first gun round, but they could only get one additional round to their name before SAW closed out the game with a 13-6 score.

Michel “ewjerkz” Pinto dominated the Inferno leaderboard with an impressive K/D of 23/10, rocking a whopping 118.7 ADR.

Game 2: Anubis (Pick: SAW, Win: FaZe, Final Score: 13-11)

After losing their own map pick, FaZe looked to regain their composure by winning the pistol round to kick off Anubis on their T-side. A force-buy from SAW in the following round shut them down, but FaZe responded with a force-buy of their own, leaving no room for SAW to capitalize. FaZe managed to win the buy-round as well, which enabled them to extend their lead to 4-1 before giving up a round to their opposition.  SAW seized the opportunity and built on their momentum to equalize the game, but FaZe struck back hard, grabbing four consecutive rounds to end the half with an 8-4 score.

FaZe grabbed the crucial second pistol round of the map on their CT side and found themselves in a comfortable position as the scoreboard showed a 10-4 lead in their favor. However, SAW wasn’t willing to give up anytime soon, as they grabbed their first gun round and went on a rampage with back-to-back round wins. They managed to tie the score at 11-11, dropping only one round across the eight played. However, FaZe emerged victorious in the end, clinching the game 13-11 thanks to a decisive clutch by David “frozen” Čerňanský.

Game 3: Nuke (Win: SAW, Final Score: 16-14)

SAW started the CT side on the right foot as they grabbed the first pistol round and followed it up with another win on the anti-eco. FaZe secured their first buy-round of the game, putting a dent in SAW’s economy to equalize the score. The two teams then proceeded to trade a few rounds back-and-forth, but SAW did manage to end the first half with a slight lead as they went into the weaker side of Nuke with a 7-5 score in their favor.

It didn’t take long for FaZe to equalize the score as they secured the final pistol round of the series. SAW found themselves in the driver’s seat once again as they took their first buy-round of their T-side and capitalized on the economic advantage to take the game to match point. However, FaZe struck back decisively, claiming the last four rounds of the half and pushing the match into overtime.

Rallying behind standout individual performances, SAW managed to outmaneuver FaZe in a thrilling finish, ultimately securing the victory with two round wins in each half and a hard-fought score of 16-14.

Get ready to dive headfirst into the action-packed universe of Spectre Divide, a competitive 3v3 tactical shooter. It’s been making waves across the FPS community since its official reveal, especially considering that streaming legend Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek has been lending a hand in gameplay tuning. But before you lock and load, here’s what you’ll want to know to make sure your PC is up for the task at hand.

Spectre Divide features a gorgeous cell-shaded art style reminiscent of the incredibly popular Borderlands series. However, this graphical facelift does come at a cost – higher system requirements than its inspiration.

Spectre Divide PC System Requirements

Spectre Divide

Mountaintop Studios has revealed the minimum specifications are to run this title:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5, 4th generation or newer
  • Memory: 8 GB DDR3 RAM (more may be required)
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti or AMD RX 6700 XT (some other models can be compatible)
  • Storage: 20 GB available space on an SSD (highly recommended)
  • OS: Windows 10 (or later)

There is some ambiguity regarding the exact processor generations, but from the given RAM and graphics card requirements, some educated guesses for the processors are going to be of the order of Ryzen 5 3500X or Core i5-8400. However, at this point, these are just speculations, and time will probably tell through official confirmation. Details on recommended specifications haven’t been given yet.

The good news? Spectre Divide is confirmed to be a free-to-play title available on Steam. The Closed Beta is already underway in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific, and with gameplay footage readily available on YouTube for a taste of the action. However, to access the game directly you’ll need an invitation to the Closed Beta.
