New Overwatch 2 Permanent Avoid Teammate System Explained

0

With the Season 12 update, Overwatch 2 is finally getting its highly anticipated revamped ‘Avoid Teammates’ feature, something fans of the competitive shooter have been eagerly awaiting ever since it was initially teased in April 2024.

The new system not only expands the number of available avoid slots per player from three to fifteen, but it also enables you to permanently avoid certain players that you will never be matched within your team.

In this article, we take a look at everything you need to know about the new and updated avoid teammate system in Overwatch 2.

New Overwatch 2 Feature Lets You Permanently Avoid Teammates

Overwatch 2 avoid teammates

The revamped avoid teammates feature in Overwatch 2 brings with it a number of important changes to the system.

For starters, as mentioned earlier, players will now be able to add up to 15 other players to their “Avoid Teammates” list.

On top of that, players will receive three pinned slots that allow them to permanently avoid griefers, toxic players, or anyone they don’t want to be matched with again.

The remaining twelve slots can be used to rank teammates based on how much you mind queuing with them. Note that being placed in one of these 12 slots doesn’t guarantee permanent avoidance—there’s still a chance you may end up in a game with them if the system needs to fill a match.

Additionally, players you place in these 12 slots will be automatically removed after 7 days. So, if you want to avoid someone permanently, you’ll need to pin them in one of the three slots.

How to Play Deadlock Early?

0

Valve’s unreleased hero shooter MOBA has been raking in much interest like it was in closed development. With tens of thousands already locked in deep into gameplay, it is undeniable that there is an appeal for this game. Securing a place in the exclusive playtest, however, has evaded most of the keen fans.

While the gaming giant has kept a tight lid on the project, word-of-mouth has propelled Deadlock into the spotlight. Such a mix of hero shooter and MOBA has drawn gamers, building up an increasing demand for access.

How Can You Play Deadlock Early?

Deadlock

There are currently two main ways open: directly by invitation from Valve or through the recommendation of a fortunate friend.

Valve seems to send out invitations randomly, like winning in a lottery. Given the millions of users on Steam, direct invites are pretty unlikely. Still, the company has been gradually releasing invites, so there is a glimmer of hope for hard-core players.

Those few who have a friend inside the playtest, however, can ask for a referral. While this doesn’t guarantee access, it shoots up your chances. Take note that any participant in the playtesting is allowed to invite his or her friends, so this might cause a snowball effect as more people get into the player base.

Beyond these two ways, there are little to no chances to participate in the playtesting of Deadlock. The title seems to be gaining popularity, so the chances of getting access may increase later, but for the time being, a huge deal of patience and maybe a bit of good luck are required if one is to engage in this mysterious title.

Vitality Dominates NAVI to Win IEM Cologne 2024

Vitality and NAVI, both teams having shown incredible run of form throughout the tournament, find each other at the Grand Finals of one of the most prestigious trophies in CS. The IEM Cologne has eluded both teams in the past, making this the perfect opportunity to add the highly coveted trophy to their collection.

  • Natus Vincere removed Vertigo
  • Vitality removed Ancient
  • Natus Vincere picked Nuke
  • Vitality picked Dust 2
  • Natus Vincere picked Mirage
  • Vitality picked Inferno
  • Anubis was left over

Map 1: Nuke; Pick: NAVI; Winner: Vitality

A strong start to the CT side saw Vitality pick up 8 rounds on their offense, apex, and Spinx stepping up on the defense saw them put up a lead before they moved to the less comfortable side of the map. NAVI managed to replicate Vitality’s performance to push the game to overtime. After a difficult first half, Vitality posted a perfect CT side to win the map.

Map 2: Dust 2; Pick: Vitality; Winner: NAVI

Dust 2 saw Vitality start their own map on a backfoot and they were kept that way throughout the half by NAVI. The first half concluded with a 7-5 score line as we opened up the second half with NAVI steam-rolling on the pistol round. Vitality often found themselves on the brisk of winning rounds but fell flat to a crazy NAVI retake on multiple occasions that stopped their comeback in the tracks. Trading blows after blows, NAVI closed the map with a 13-11 scoreline.

Map 3: Mirage; Pick: NAVI; Winner: Vitality

Once again, both teams found themselves even matches as it took 3 overtimes to separate them. Vitality remained largely dominant for the better part of the map while NAVI played the catching-up game. Vitality after a long-drawn-out battle was able to put together a few rounds to that too by the narrowest of margins to take back their lead once again in the tie.

Map 4: Inferno; Pick: Vitality; Winner: Vitality

Vitality walked into Inferno with an attitude to close out the series, a dominant start to the first half saw them walk all over NAVI. Having only lost 2 rounds, Vitality’s overwhelming offense was enough to spoil the mood for NAVI walking into the second half. NAVI managed to post somewhat of a comeback by winning 6 rounds in a row but that was all they were allowed as Vitality closed the map with a 13-9 scoreline.

How To Leave Your Cod Mobile Clan: A Step-By-Step Guide

0

You have had enough of your current Call of Duty Mobile Clan. If you are looking for new horizons or taking a rest from the camaraderie on the battlefield, leaving a clan does not have to be complicated at all. This guide will show you how to go through everything without losing any progress or hard-earned rewards.

Things To Bear in Mind Before Saying Farewell

Before you click that “leave clan” button, here are some things you should keep in mind:

Clan Rewards: Are there any pending rewards or ongoing events in your current clan? By leaving, you might miss out on these advantages.

Cooldown Period: After leaving some clans, there is a specified cooldown duration when one cannot join another clan right away. You may need to wait for 24 hours before joining another group.

Clan Roles: When you eventually leave one as a leader, such as a clan captainship there’s an option to transfer this duty to someone else.

Take the Following Steps to Exit

Open COD Mobile: Your device should be loaded with the Call of Duty Mobile game app.

Get Clan Menu: Locate yourself within the game’s Clan section which is your central point for all matters concerning clans.

Check Out Clan Details: First take some time and review what is in your existing clans details. That way it may remind you about any perks that could potentially go down drain if you decided to quit now.

Start Moving On: While still in the Clan Menu, select Leave Clan option. It is located right there and can be selected whenever ready by anyone who wishes so.

Confirm and Leave: After confirming your choice; it is official that you are no longer part of that guild anymore according to the game developers’ words.

Taking these steps will ensure smooth leaving at COD mobile but simply leaving a clan is not difficult. Now you can begin new quests, create new friendships and dominate the game world with a fresh start!

NAVI Defeats MOUZ to Reach IEM Cologne Finals Against Vitality

Mouz’s playoff woes continue as they get knocked out of IEM Cologne by a dynamic NAVI, who will get a shot at the trophy against Vitality at the Lanxess Arena. NAVI failed to win the highly coveted Cologne trophy 2 years back against FaZe; now, they take on the number 1 team in the world in the Grand Finals.

Map VETO:

  1. MOUZ removed Anubis
  2. Natus Vincere removed Vertigo
  3. MOUZ picked Inferno
  4. Natus Vincere picked Mirage
  5. MOUZ removed Dust2
  6. Natus Vincere removed Nuke
  7. Ancient was left over

Map 1: Inferno; Pick: Mouz; Winner: NAVI;

A dominant start from NAVI saw Mouz instantly go on the back foot in their map pick. A well-drilled defence saw the reigning Major champions post a 9-3 lead before moving into the second half. Mouz’s offence got read on every occasion; their prowess saw them break through the NAVI defence on the 3 rounds they managed.

Mouz went further behind, losing out on the pistol round, but responded with a force buy conversion that saw them put together a streak of 5 rounds, upon which NAVI hit back to get two more rounds on the board. Mouz made a comeback from a 5-round deficit to push the game to overtime. Mouz, in overtime, lost a single round on their defence, which NAVI capitalized on by winning all the rounds on their defence to close out the map with a 16-14 score line.

Map 2: Mirage; Pick: NAVI; Winner: NAVI;

Mouz started strong on their opponent’s map pick. After winning a tough pistol round, they went 6-2 up before both teams shared the remaining 4 rounds to close out the half. Of the 4 rounds NAVI had in their bags, two were brought home by 1v2 and 1v3 clutches by w0nderful and JL, respectively.

NAVI started the map with an incredible 3K from b1t on the pistol round, upon which Mouz got back on the board on the first gun round of the half, which triggered a trade of rounds between both teams before NAVI went on the back foot. b1t’s heroic eco-round frags saw them get back on track. Mouz made it difficult, but an experienced NAVI roster could grind out the map with a 13-11 scoreline. b1t, after a heroic performance for NAVI, stood out as the best player, having secured a rating of 1.22.

How to Get Fortnite on iPhone?

Following the introduction of a new European law, Fortnite and the Epic Games Store have finally returned to iOS in the EU and in this article, we will discuss how you can download it on your iPhones.

Apple is notoriously famous for taking a major cut for all purchases made from the App Store which EPIC found a way to bypass by redirecting its users to their own website to make purchases for Fortnite instead of making the same purchase through the App Store. Apple saw this as a violation of their policy that banned the game from their digital store for iPhones and iPads.

Following the ban, EPIC games took the tech giant to court, a legal battle that lasted for years before the introduction of the Digital Market Act (DMA) by the EU that led to iPhone users in the majority of EU countries as well as Android device owners globally to finally access Epic Games and Fortnite.

How to download Fortnite on iPhone(iOS 17.6 or above)

fortnite iphone

Go to www.fortnite.com/download to get the iPhone Epic Games Store app.
Grant Epic Marketplace access to your device and follow the on-screen instructions.
After installation, search for Fortnite in the Epic Game Store Library and select the download option.

Sadly, the new law only affects Fortnite in Europe which means other regions cannot access the game on their iPhones at the time of writing. Games will be inaccessible until Apple concedes to EPIC or EPIC makes a compromise. Still, either way, the EU passing the new law is a massive step towards the policies of Apple which are generally considered as anti-consumer.
