Deadlock Players Urge Valve To Add This Crucial Feature From Dota 2

0

Since its initial announcement on August 23rd, Valve’s upcoming hero shooter Deadlock has already managed to garner the attention of the entire esports community with its remarkable game mechanics and fun, fast-paced combat. However, since the game is still in its early alpha testing phase, the playtesting community is actively identifying areas for improvement and providing constant feedback to the developers.

One of the recent suggestions from the community seems to be a must-have feature for MOBAs, but Valve has yet to implement it in Deadlock.

In the Deadlock subreddit, fans have pointed out that the game desperately needs a ‘Quickcast’ feature to make it easier for players to use their spells.

“Currently if you have a bunch of active spells and items which require a target when you use them, you have to press the hotkey then click for each one,” a Reddit post reads. “In Dota I’ve used quickcast for many years now because having to use an ability or item and then also click just feels really clunky.”

Members of the Deadlock subreddit have unanimously agreed to the post, noting that this feature is already present in Dota 2, Valve’s other major MOBA, and believe it should be implemented in the upcoming title as well.

While some players have claimed that the “double tap self cast” feature can work as an alternative, many others have mentioned that it breaks certain abilities in the game like Dynamo’s teleport.

As of now, Valve has yet to address the community’s demand. However, it’s likely they will add it before the official launch, though the release date remains uncertain.

How to Fix Smite 2 Version Mismatch Error?

0

Well, if you have recently taken the plunge into Smite 2 with the Founder’s Edition, then you may have undoubtedly run into that “version mismatch” error. Well, do not be alarmed, as you are not alone in this. Like any new game, especially those in such early stages of their creation, the presence of bugs and glitches is par for the course.

While the developers are busy at work smashing these bugs, version mismatch isn’t actually a bug.

Let’s take a closer dive into what’s causing it and what you can do to rectify it.

Smite 2 Version Mismatch Error Causes and Fixes

Smite 2 Version Mismatch Error

The version mismatch error usually occurs when your game does not match the version running on the servers. This can happen in one of the following instances:

  • Playing the Wrong Version: You might run into this problem if you are playing a demo or an older version of Smite 2. Ensure that you fire up the full game.
  • Outdated Game: Sometimes, an update might be pending for Smite 2. Even if the game itself doesn’t notify you of an update, which it usually does, it’s worth checking anyway.

Here is how to fix the Smite 2 Version Mismatch Error:

  • Check for Updates: On startup, Smite 2 will automatically check for updates. If it doesn’t, try restarting your device.
  • Verify game files: If this is an update issue, then verify the game files from your platform; this could be Steam, Epic Games Store, or whatever. This should fix files that might be corrupted.

By following these steps, you should get the version mismatch error cleared and be able to enjoy Smite 2 once more.

“This is the Best Third-Person Shooter I’ve Ever Played”: Shroud on Valve’s Deadlock

0

Within the short span of time since its initial announcement on August 23rd, Deadlock has created waves of excitement within the gaming community with its unique gameplay that has managed to capture the hearts of millions of gamers worldwide.

For the uninitiated, Deadlock is Valve’s upcoming third-person hero shooter that seamlessly blends the depth and complexity of MOBAs with the fast-paced action and movement of a shooter. Despite the game still being in its extremely early days of alpha testing, it’s apparent that this unique combination of the two genres has been executed perfectly by Valve, resulting in Deadlock garnering the attention of gamers from throughout the globe.

Needless to say, in only a few hours of its official announcement, Deadlock found itself rapidly gaining traction in the video game streaming community, with big names like Shroud, Summit1g, and xQc trying out the game while livestreaming their experience.

Shroud Calls Deadlock “The Best Third-Person Shooter” & Praises Its Mechanical Depth

While many streamers expressed positive opinions about Deadlock, Shroud’s enthusiasm for the game was particularly notable.

“This is probably the best third-person shooter I’ve ever played,” Shroud said during his livestream. “It’s not just simply shoot and use abilities. There’s so much more nuance to it.”

Shroud then proceeded to explain and praise Deadlock’s interesting movement mechanics that set it apart from other titles in its genre, including sides, double jumps, dashes, slides, and more.

“It has probably the most mechanics I’ve ever seen in a third-person shooter,” Shroud continued. “It’s f**king crazy.”

According to Shroud, the only thing that could make Deadlock better is if Valve introduced a “wall-riding” mechanic, but he also acknowledged that it’s probably only a matter of time before a character can do that.

Due to Deadlock being in its early alpha stage of testing, most fans haven’t had the chance to access the game yet. In fact, the only way for fans to be able to play this game is for them to get invited by someone who’s already a part of the playtest. However, that hasn’t stopped the title from attaining the 9th spot on the list of the most played games on Steam.

Valve Deadlock

It’s still astonishing to see just how far Deadlock has come from its early days of testing. As Valve continues to work on Deadlock in the coming days, the game is only expected to improve from here on out, and its future in the esports world seems extremely promising.

PGL Acquires Esportal Assets to Create World-Class Matchmaking

0

PGL has made a bold step in the esports field by purchasing several major assets from Esportal which is one of the best online matchmaking services. This acquisition seems to be part of PGL’s strategy in achieving the objective of creating a world-class matchmaking service for gamers across the globe.

It should be remembered that PGL acquired the assets and not the company Esportal AB and even so only the assets which fitted into the company’s future plans regarding esports matchmaking.

As PGL is no stranger in the esports sector, it can be found on the top with PGL esports, though the company has never placed the players or their ecosystem at the bottom of its priorities. The company has consistently delivered the best out of tournaments for sponsors and hopes to maintain this practice in the near future.

PGL has this ideology that the assets of Esportal are useful for the esports segment when there is a need for them to be acquired. PGL intends to maintain and improve this asset for the benefit of players all over the world.

At this stage, PGL is exploring actively the operations of Esportal in order to establish upon what aspects improvement or cleanup should be performed. This thorough approach is necessary as PGL is strategically preparing for huge transformation of the platform in the near future.

The estimate put forward by the company for enhancing the environment of this device is elaborated along with it is in between a span of three to four months. This reorganization is intended to maximize each and every detail of the technology and the people using it before it receives a full and powerful health relaunch.

During this time of change, PGL however tries to appeal to the players and the community for understanding. The company admits to the fact that changes especially when large in scale can be disruptive but reassures that all these efforts are directed towards making it better for all the users. To achieve the desired result various angles from proficient parties are also being taken into consideration.

Looking Forward PGL strongly believes that including Esportal in the portfolio will provide a better platform for connecting gamers that will be revolutionary within the industry’s overall concepts. Remaining laser focused on technology, fair playing, and a good society is important to PGL whose aim and value is enabling gamers to play in a safe and enjoyable environment.

The company loves everything that Ebony has developed and how it would be beneficial for the esports community in the existing platform. Keep an eye on PGL as they continue to enhance gamers’ opportunities and pave the way to the world’s best matchmaking.

It is also the first attempt where PGL has acquired Esportal’s primary assets, which has great implications on PGL’s quest to transform the gaming industry through improved matchmaking systems. Using these assets, PGL has set out to design a platform that will be more than what the global gaming market anticipated.
