In a tactical shooter like Valorant, having the correct information and relaying it to your team can often be the difference between winning and losing rounds. This is why the Valorant minimap is an invaluable tool in the title. Learning to read your minimap effectively will not only enable you to get fast info on the whereabouts of your enemies, but it will also help you increase your overall map awareness and avoid sticky situations.

However, a lot of players play on minimap settings that are not optimized, making the Valorant map much more difficult to read. Having the right minimap settings can help you identify crucial info fast and accurately amid the heat of battle, and this difference of a few milliseconds can be the deciding factor in whether you react in time to an enemy’s movements or miss a critical opportunity.

Whether you’re a new Valorant player or a seasoned veteran looking to get better at the Riot Games title, using the best minimap settings will undoubtedly help you elevate your gameplay to the next level.

Without further ado, let’s check out the best minimap settings that you can use in Valorant right away to become a better player.

For those who can’t imagine just what that would look like, just picture the skull and motorcycle chains of Ghost Rider combined with the goofy, burger-loving aesthetic of Beef Boss.

Eternal Fire Eliminates Vitality from ESL Pro League Season 20

Eternal Fire has managed to pull off the biggest upset of ESL Pro League Season 20, beating the best team in the world in Vitality and eliminating them from the tournament.

VETO

  • Eternal Fire removed Mirage
  • Vitality removed Ancient
  • Eternal Fire picked Anubis
  • Vitality picked Nuke
  • Eternal Fire removed Dust2
  • Vitality removed Vertigo
  • Inferno was left over

Map 1: Anubis (Picked: Eternal Fire; Winner: Eternal Fire)

Eternal Fire started off their map pick with a pistol round victory which met with a Vitality force buy win in the following rounds. Vitality managed to put together a few rounds before Eternal Fire was able to win a few rounds of their own in the final rounds of the first half.

Both teams walked in the second half with a leveled scoreline the second half of Anubis failed to separate both sides and it took an OT to find a winner. Eternal Fire carried their momentum from regulation and picked up two out of the three rounds in the first half while the second half saw them close the map with a 16-14 scoreline. w0xic stood out as the best player for EF, besting ZyWoo on multiple duels.

Map 2: Nuke (Picked: Vitality; Winner: Vitality)

Winning the pistol round, Vitality went upto a 3-0 lead before Eternal Fire could get on the board. Vitality looked more in control of their T-side despite which EF managed to squeeze 5 rounds which otherwise would have been a more one-sided half. Vitality walked away with a 7-5 lead in the first half.

Vitality’s dominance was more apparent in the CT side as they stopped all attempts from Eternal Fire to win all the rounds to quickly close out the 2nd half with a very one-sided 13-5 scoreline. With 18 kills and 1.79 IR, Sphinx spearheaded the Vitality offense followed by an impressive display in the defense to get one map each.

Map 3: Inferno (Winner: Eternal Fire)

Vitality’s defense was as airtight as they were gunning for another one-sided map and a strong start suggested that Inferno would go the same way as Nuke. Following difficulties, Eternal Fire managed 3 rounds on their offense which gave them a headway start posting a comeback once they moved to the second half.

The second half saw Eternal Fire put up a stellar defense that quickly cut down the lead as they posted a lead of their own. As soon as the Turkish side was on their way to close out the map, Vitality managed to scrape a few rounds together of the back of several ZyWoo clutches including a 1v5. as we went to another overtime for the second time in this series. It took four OTs for Eternal Fire to close the game with a 22-20 scoreline. XANTARES with 34 kills was the driving force behind this monumental victory.

Eternal Fire has progressed to the next round where they will be facing MIBR and if they manage to perform like they did today, it wouldn’t be too farfetched to assume they would make quick work of the Brazilians.

Forsaken’s Ban Expires Today

The infamous Nikhil ‘forsaken’ Kumawat is once again free to compete at Valve-sponsored events as of 19th September 2024 under the new New RMR Eligibility Guidelines published by the developers back in 2021.

It is hard to be in the Counter-Strike community and not know about the OpTic India debacle that unfolded back in eXTREMESLAND 2018 Finals. For players who are relatively new to the community, popular esports organization OpTic Gaming came to India to form an Indian roster after realizing the potential in the Indian CSGO scene. After months of trial and screening, a roster was formed with Forsaken as one of the stars.

The roster took the Indian CSGO scene by storm as they dominated every regional tournament that came their way. Heading into the eXTREMESLAND 2018 finals, several of Forsaken’s plays were deemed fishy by notable community members but the lack of solid proof kept anything from happening to him. Upon losing to FrostFire in their opening match of the tournament, OpTic India took on MVP PK. During the match against the Korean side, Forsaken was caught using cheats on LAN which caused OpTic to disband the roster and scrap the project in its entirety.

As it seemed, Forsaken would never return to professional Counter-Strike given the resentments he caused in the Indian CS community and to make things worse, Valve imposed a ban that forced organizations to distance themselves from him, not that they would have considered him anyway. In a shocking turn of events, Valve released an updated RMR Eligibility Guidelines in 2021, three years after the debacle, that would allow him to compete again and today is the day his ban gets lifted.

Forsaken cs

Forsaken was nowhere to be found after 2018 as he completely disappeared from the scene. While several rumors floated around, there remains little to no information about his latest whereabouts. His actions have pushed back the progress of the Indian esports scene but with collective efforts from the rest, it is thriving like never before.

It is unlikely that his actions would be forgiven despite Valve giving him a clean chit as of now, and if he does return to the scene, getting into a top esports org would be next to impossible for him.

GTA 5 Becomes “Unsupported” on Steam Deck After BattleEye Update

0

After the BattleEye anti-cheat update, GTA 5 became unsupported on Steam Deck devices which fueled outrage among fans.

GTA V has been at the top of the most-played game on Steam Deck for such a long time, the problem is that it’s too darn popular. That’s why its online multiplayer has been the reason for contention with cheaters, which led Rockstar to implement an anti-cheat system called BattlEye.

BattlEye is an anti-cheating software. The use of the software keeps on eradicating fraudulent activities by these cheating players in games developed. This software has ensured the effectiveness of combating cheats in many titles while seeming to have had fallout for users of Steam Deck.

gta 5 steam deck unsupported

Due to the incompatibility with Steam Deck, GTA V’s page on Steam has now put a warning on it, indicating that it is “unsupported.” This unexpected move has left gamers puzzled and frustrated as many of them have enjoyed playing their games on handheld devices.

Rockstar has attempted to pass the blame to Valve by pointing out that the cause of incompatibility is on Valve’s side since the Steam Deck does not support BattlEye for GTA Online. That is somewhat contrary to previous statements by Valve in which it declared in no uncertain terms that BattlEye can easily be enabled on the Steam Deck games.

The ambiguity of Rockstar on why the incompatibility issue has created not just more confusion but a cloud of confusion over the heads of the gamers. Despite this, the single-player mode in GTA V remains open to gamers, although most of the players cannot enjoy their multiplayer mode games.

One of the simplest solutions that most people tend to miss is restarting the internet router. Sometimes, the error is created by temporary network issues. So, you should first turn off your router, wait for a few minutes, and then power it back on. Then try launching Valorant with your internet connection re-established.

Switch to Wired Connection
