Major shuffle in fnatic roster

With what comes an unexpected number of players changed in the fnatic roster. GODSENT also seem to have been strengthen with the legendary players stepping in. Fnatic will lose JW, flusha and KRIMZ to acquire wenton, twist and Lekr0.

 fnatic roster

The changes come after fnatic failed to perform in the past 8 months, the team who dominated the year 2015 had issues going on soon after ‘pronax’ was dropped, and people were expecting shuffles, but a shuffle of this level which will entirely change the whole Swedish Counter Strike scenario was never seen. Fnatic failed to win even a single trophy in their disappointing run since December.

Fnatic now have Olofmeister, dennis, wenton, Lekr0 and twist, whereas their counter part GODSENT now have KRIMZ, flusha, JW, pronax and znajder. (fnatic – olofmeister  + znajder from 2015)

Next CSGO major to be held in January 2017

0

According to the intel gathered by HLTV.org, Valve is observing proposals submitted by different event organizers to have the next CSGO major conducted in January 2017, dates of which are tentative yet.

Next CSGO major
SK Gaming, winners of both the majors of 2016.

Fragmented to the general pattern followed by Valve from past years, this year we will not be able to experience any further CSGO major.  After DreamHack Winters in 2013, this is the first time when Valve has concluded the year with less than 3 majors, 2014 and 2015 both witnessed 3 majors each with DreamHack getting their share of the event in every year, surprisingly DreamHack will be left long-faced for the year 2016.

Next CSGO major

[table id=1 /]

The seven-month gap between the majors is definitely not unique but unexpected as the community expected another major in October this year.

Also the matter of the fact, this is the first time when a single team has been the champions of the majors all throughout the year, compendious to that, SK Gaming winning two consecutive majors this year MLG Columbus 2016 followed by ESL One Cologne 2016. The tenth major will be scheduled in the month of January next year.

Player admits to cheating after getting banned midway in ESL UK Premiership

0

A Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player was automatically banned mid-match last night for cheating.

During a game against Rize Gaming UK in the ESL UK Premiership, Joseph “Joee” Leigh, a prominent member of the UK CS:GO community, was removed from the server by ESL’s anti-cheat software. The match was forfeited and Rize Gaming UK advanced on through the tournament.

Any competitor caught by ESL Wire, as the anti-cheat cheating software is known, by default means that the cheater won’t be able to compete in ESL events. But last night, news site UKCSGO.com revealed that Joee would also not be allowed to compete at the UK-based LAN event Insomnia, which hosts tournaments in several different games, for at least one year.

Following his unceremonious exit from the server, Joee admitted that he purchased a private cheat from a Ukrainian developer under the pseudonym keybode. The 23-year old also appeared unrepentant, explaining to UKCSGO.com that “It’s just a game. It was fun and it’s still fun looking at the tweets, no harm done to anyone so whats the problem.”

Cheating in CS:GO has been a major talking point since two professional players were caught red-handed in 2014. While the presence of Valve’s own anti-cheat software mitigates a fair amount of cheats, the two players in question, Hovik “KQLY” Tovmassian and Gordon “Sf” Giry, went undiscovered until ESEA conducted their own investigation and compiled and sent the evidence to Valve.

TNC knocks OG out of TI6 – Major Upset

TNC knocks OG out of TI6 in their lower bracket match today in a convincing fashion.

TNC, known as the underdogs at this tournament were able to take down one of the tournament favorites OG with a score of 2-0. Miracle and the squad were not able to hold on the Filipino lineup created by Demon who ended up placing in Ti right from open qualifiers.

Game 1

After game 1 draft it was moreover an OG’s game to win with the lineup picked by them. The hero’s picked would gradually do good against TNC’s Lineup which was also a crowd favorite lineup. OG’s draft included Drow Ranger followed by Miracles Medusa pick.

However, TNC were able to focus Drow Ranger in every team fight with the help of Elder Titan and Axe pick who didn’t allow No-tail to contest in team fights properly.

OG was able to maintain their gold lead for quite a time with help if Moon’s Crono + Fly’s Witch Doctor combo. TNC later decides to take down OG’s aggression with the help of their Infest bomb combo on Axe and life-stealer.

Highlights for the game can be found here

Game 2

Game 2 started with TNC drafting a Huskar for themselves against Miracles Ember-Spirit and Notail’s Tiny. From the past matches, it is seen that Dazzle + Huskar have a win rate of 70% in 6.85. OG dominated the game till minute 20 with the score being far and TNC being only single digit team kill score. TNC later pulled up a great fight with cronosphere by Sam and they were right back into the game.

It took 3 tries of mid push for TNC to break OG’s throne, but when they did break it that moment was very special for all the fans and SEA community.

TNC knocks OG out of TI6

After this loss OG – 2 times Major Champions knocked out of International 6 placing 9th – 12th Place. They take home $303,122 from the total prize pool.

Watch the highlights of both games

Game 1

Game 2

We wish TNC good luck further as they advance in the tournament and hard luck to OG.

Also, we will like to remind all the Indian fans that TNC was the team that knocked Beyond Infinity in the open qualifiers and they are going far. Indian community should be proud of Beyond Infinity for making it so far and losing to a team which today took down the tournament favorites at The International 6.

MVP brings down OG at Ti6

MVP.Phoenix Sends down OG to Lower bracket

MVP brings down OG at Ti6 upper bracket round 1 in their first matchup.

The first game of the International 2016 concludes on of the biggest upset for the crowd favorite team OG. The game started after an amazing opening ceremony which had Lindsey Stirling at the opening ceremony with her excellent performance followed by Gaben’s Introduction from Valve.

Game 1

It started with MVP drafting an unusual pick as they pick up PA for themselves. Miracle on his Timbersaw was not unable to out tank his opponents after some amazing vacuum wall + Chronosphere combos from MVP. The team was able to close down the game at minute 39 as OG tapped out since there was no way they could have come back from that gold deficit.

game1

With a clutch Roshan fight where dark seer was able to pull out a 3 man vacuum wall onto the cliff. Wings were able to take the game in their favor.

Game 2

Game 2 started again with some unusual picks from both the sides including Venomancer, OD and support Naga Siren.

Although having a mid-Venomancer, MVP was not able to stop Miracles OD which already retains a record of not dropping any game on this hero with a 100% win rate in pro games.

Miracle was able to gain some gold with the help of his hurricane pike and with some clutch moments including astral imprisonments. After Miracle was able to get his Scythe of Vyse it seemed easier as it could be for OG as Miracle was able to run down MVP and get a couple of triple and ultra kills.

game 2

Game 3

As high net worth Alchemist and Faceless void were not able to bring down Miracle in game 2. MVP went for PA again which seems to be their pocket strategy for this tournament so far. It is working for them in a positive manner.

OG for a long time was not able to gain a single kill and was stuck at team kill score of 3 for a long time span of 10-15 mins.

game 3

As the score states, with FoREv’s dominant perfornace on Axe they were able to take down the tournament favorites.

“It hurts when a member quits, it demotivates the rest of the team”: Ritesh RitZ Shah

0

Indian CS:GO has always been very fragmented in terms of organizations and squads. With event organizers trying to extend their reach into the average skilled gamers by introducing entry level gaming events (ESL India Premiership, ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND and Mountain Dew partnership with ESL for Dew Arena) in India, the professional gaming in India is nowhere even visible when competing overseas. We caught up with Ritesh RiTz Shah, who is a professional eSports athlete from over a decade and currently plays for Invisible Wings in their CS:GO division.

Invisible Wings recently beat Team Brutality, the then best CS:GO lineup in India at ESL India Premiership – Challenger #1. RitZ, who was earlier a part of one of the largest and most renowned professional eSports club, Ate.Gaming finally was able to perform and gain his level best in this version of the game. Shah is known to be outspoken as he shares his views and opinions wholeheartedly, check out our previous interview with Ritesh where he shared his disagreements and disappointments with rising intolerance in the players forcing them to change teams every now and then.

You can follow RiTz on his official facebook page.

Read the brief interview with Ritesh after their recent win where he shares, their future plans, his return to the professional gaming; also his perception of being professional eSports athlete and taking up e-gaming as a career in India.

DPK: How much did you practice for the ESL India Premiership Challenger #1 considering your team formed in less than a month?

RITZ: Well it was not very easy for us to make a team and grow together in a month. We did a little bit of team practice but more as an individual.

Did you have a coach or a preset analyst to analyze the demos to assist you? –

No, we don’t have a coach yet, but we were well aware of how the rest of teams would play in their style. We were just focusing on our gameplays.

If it was Invictus instead of Brutality facing you, would you doubt the results?

I would just say that it would have been tough.

You and kappa have played earlier during 1.6 times in Ate together, did it help you to coordinate even better?

Ritesh RitZ Shah
Ritesh with Ate.gaming at MSI Beat IT invitational in 2010.

Yes, it helped me a lot personally. Before making the team we were not only looking for a better player but were also looking for sheer dedication, a player who can devote more time to gaming and prioritize the competition without excuses. And tbh, he just has played the game for 1300 hours and in such a short span of time he has picked up the game well and also has been helping ‘psy’ to lead the team.

Who did the calling, was it psy leading the team all the way from the very start of the challengers?

Psy is a good IGL and as a player, he is smart enough to handle the situations based on the circumstances.

What are your plans for the Zowie and Mountain Dew event, will you travel to Banglore for the event?

Zowie and Mountain dew event will be our main goal, we will be practicing very hard and I am very sure we will be able to win it.

You are the most experienced player in your lineup right now, what do you feel about the younger players specially psy taking up responsibility?

I was the exact copy of him when I was of his age, he just wants to win no matter how.

Having said that the switches in the roster and shuffles do create an impact on the team, have you ever felt left out when your team member departs?

If your team is not performing well just because of a couple of members for a very long time, then shuffling is must I feel. But if there’s no reason and your team member calls it quit, it hurts a lot. It also affects the other team members as they also get demotivated and out tracked. I have been through such scenario many times and it is never ending.

All right! Thanks for your time Ritesh, I have been your fan personally from during the CS 1.6 times, and would love to see you participate in international events with your form back. Do you think you have already gained your form in this game and the dominance will continue now?

Ritesh RitZ Shah
Ritesh was also a brand ambassador of Lenovo gaming laptops

Yes I have been on and off from the game but tbh, I had different plans in my mind but circumstances forced me to come back and play the game, now I am willing to spend as much time as I can to win !!!

Anything you’d like to say to our readers and the CS:GO community in general?

I would say, India is currently not in a state to offer a full-time replacement to a standard career in gaming. There are definitely a lot of organizations working behind the emerging scene in India.. but this will take another 5 years to completely form itself into a new industry.. people should play games and compete but at the same time they should also be focusing on their studies and things which matter to their parents and family. And also would like to suggest the newcomers to stay away from gambling !! finally, thanks to talkEsport for letting me speak my mind. cheers 🙂

Ritesh did raise a valid point and I would like to unbrief it further to the everyday growing community in India. Gaming and eSports in India are not yet at a point which can offer you a secured future.

By means of gaming, you can’t surrender your regularities and spend your time whole day sitting on a comp and shooting enemies. Even though you become a professional player, there is yet not much scope in India for e-gaming. Keep your life balanced between hobbies and career.

Natus Vincere reorganized; S1mple in Zeus out

CSGO recent announcement includes some of the hottest stuff of the season. S1mple will replace Zeus in Natus Vincere CSGO Roster.

As recently announced on Natus Vincere’s Website and social media, stating that their CS:Go roster will be dropping out their in-game leader ‘Zeus’. Finally, it is out that S1mple will be replacing Zeus. Recently, after S1mple’s contract with Team Liquid came to an end the community was a bit sceptical for a new home for S1mple. However, it was speculated that Natus Vincere will be the new home for S1mple. Eventually, which is now correct, Navi announces S1mple in the main Squad.

Although Zeus will retain the Natus Vincere contract but will go inactive for a period of time. The organisation also mentioned that they will be having many other options for Zeus which will be announced later in this month.

Statement from Director of Natus Vincere

“Today I feel both elated, because we have signed one of the most talented and promising players of the world, and sad, because the Natus Vincere epoch of Daniil Teslenko, who has not only been the team’s veteran IGL and a captain, but also one of the organization’s founding fathers, has come to an end.

I would like to comment on each of these cases separately. Regarding Oleksandr’s arrival, I believe that this transfer has a potential of becoming one of the most successful in the CS:GO history, given how high-skilled, motivated and demanding towards his teammates this player has proven to be. I hope that we are at the outset of long and productive cooperation. I would like to personally thank Daniil Teslenko for everything he has done for Na`Vi, his great devotion, victories, sincerity, and dependability. The career you had is what most of the world can only dream of! Daniil, you are a legend!!!

Also, I want to thank Team Liquid and Victor Goossens for helping to make this transfer possible. Despite offering more financially beneficial terms, they met us halfway and took the player’s ambitions and interests into consideration, so they deserve enormous respect! It is amazing to work with professionals.

And now we are ready to move forward and reach new heights. DAVI NAVI!”
Yevhen “HarisPilton” Zolotarov

The Director himself believes that the current changes in the roster will be proven worthy and it will also help the retain a top position in the current CS:Go scene. With all high skilled players in the current line-up, Natus Vincere CS:Go is now ready to take up the challenges coming forward.

Statement from CSGO Team Manager

Everyone must be curious why we have done that, and it’s quite easy to explain. The time has come. Everything flows everything changes. It’s time for Daniil to go, and for a young and talented player to replace him in our lineup.

The recent results our team has scored have been quite solid. We became one of the most consistent teams on the CS:GO scene, but no matter how hard we tried, the major gold has been out of reach. We also underperformed in such leagues as ESL and ELEAGUE. Despite the number of the finals they played, our guys started losing motivation and belief in the team’s success. Their synergy started to fade away, and it all resulted in what we saw unfold at the previous major and the ELEAGUE LAN. Is it surprising? Turns out, sometimes it happens. We realized that we can’t be complacent with second places. It is true that second and fourth finishes are always the most disappointing ones…

The loss in the final can affect the morale a lot harder than when you fail to advance out of the group. I am not saying that Daniil is the reason why it all happened, of course not. Here everyone played his part – we were winning and losing together, after all. At times we didn’t put every effort we could into the game, and on some days we played at our limit, but the long-awaited win was still unobtainable. We always lacked something, finishing second turned into some kind of a pattern, and as I said, the team’s synergy started to fade. You can’t stay the best without it. Perhaps, we could go without this change, but in the world where the competition is so tough, we have to be ready to undertake such measures. And it is normal because eSports becomes more professional.

Nobody knows how this change will impact the performance of our guys, but we do realize changes are what we really need. We believe that with s1mple’s arrival we will achieve it. Here it’s the battle between experience and youth. Today we choose youth, and only time will tell what is going to happen next.

I would like to thank Daniil for everything. Being your manager wasn’t an easy task, but it surely was a very, very interesting one. I wish you to stay in this developing industry, there are lots of opportunities, and your leadership qualities will surely help you do well. I am sure that we will continue working together in the future!”

-Eugene “ugin” Erofeev

As stated by the team manager, the organisation have no harsh feelings with Zeus. To achieve something in upcoming majors and tournament, Natus Vincere decides to recruit a young talent by further pushing up the limits. The changes in the roster are made as per the perspective of winning a Major event and it is regarded by the manager that they can attain a commanding lead over the scene after this particular roster change.

Statement From S1mple

“I am really happy to join this great organization and be part of my favorite lineup with the world’s best players on it. I will do everything I can to achieve big goals together with the team”

-Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev

S1mple looks promising to the team and also fits the play style of how Navi plays. We wish S1mple and Zeus all the best for their upcoming future.

Im 40, will enter any server and destroy players: TaZ

0

In an informal conversation with SlingShot, TaZ, the Polish god of Counter Strike clearly muscled his vision on the future of the game and himself being a professional even when he is 40.

VP recently beat fnatic 2-0 to win ELEAGUE Season 1 which was their recent major win considering the teams present at ELEAGUE.

I want to destroy my opponents. I want to show the kids that even when I’m 40 I will get to the server and destroy everyone.

– TAZ

TaZ also shared his experience about how it feels when you’ve to travel all day long to participate in events, “Our team is the biggest guys, traveling in economy class for 10 hours for at least three of us is extremely hard.” he said. Adding, “Many of us have girlfriends, wives. Pasha has a kid. This is something we are also missing when we are at events.”.

Life has surely not been easy for these professionals who are in the scene from over a decade. They are often seen sharing the disadvantages of being a professional and having to travel all around the world back-and-forth. You can read the entire interview on SlinghShot eSports.

Second Shot introduced by Valve in the latest update, changes accuracy and shooting

Valve pushed a major CS:GO update a couple of hours ago which is by far one of the most important and game changer in a very long time. The update which goes by the version name 1.35.4.4, considerable effects the gameplay as the Recoil patterns and recovery rates of rifles has been reformed which Valve calls Second Shot, alongside tiny audio and visual additions to the game.

Other than Second Shot, tiny bugs including that of players getting spawned in the wrong places, and some of the network disrupted problems which affected the gameplay of the player in question.

Second Shot

According to the blog post by Valve, Second Shot is defined to be a new recovery method implemented in the game which alters with the current recoil, spray and tap patterns of the primary rifles AK47, M4A1-s and M4A4. Valve explains Accuracy Recovery Rate as the time it takes for a weapon to return back to its original target after being affected by the impact because of firing. They make it complicated to understand how the now variable rate will be different from the pre-update fixed rate.

Second Shot

To make things clear, Valve has implemented the new recovery and recoil rates also called Second Shot, which will be uneven depending upon the independent usage of the players. The uniform pattern on which the majority relies, the spray-and-pray will no longer be as effective as taping.

As you can quickly examine the graph above it clearly demonstrates how the recoil stays better for a shorter fire pattern than a long ranged one, explicitly AK’s and M4’s sprays will now be worse comparatively.

Interestingly this is actually the second shot from Valve to attempt a change the in-game shooting mechanics, the first one earlier last year had a major backlash as it messed up with the pattern of the shooting. This, however, looks promising and independent as it is used.
