COBX Gaming

The announcement was made two days ago about the interest of Mr. Gupta, the founder of Route Mobile, who thinks this is the right time to invest in the sector.

COBX Gaming will soon announce their formation of professional

The latest to react to the announcement of one of the India’s most promising gaming establishment is Gabriel Toledo, famously known was FalleN, who is a two-time world champion in CS:GO and a dozen of more titles to its name. FalleN originates from Brazil and plays for SK Gaming.

FalleN is also one of those successful Global offensive players, who have been associated with the game for more than a decade. Overwatch League potential to make $100 million annually says Morgan Stanley report

0

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch League could acquire more than $100 million in yearly base income, as per another report from venture administration firm Morgan Stanley.

That is not even the high number: Morgan Stanley’s bull case, a situation that relies on upon a certain market, puts income at $720 million every year. That number would place Overwatch in an indistinguishable circle from the WWE and 20 percent bigger than Major League Soccer, Morgan Stanley says.

To arrive, be that as it may, Overwatch League would need to work with twofold the measure of groups—32 rather than 16. It would likewise rely on higher viewership and adaptation, close by Activision Blizzard’s capacity to use the Major League Gaming system as an “ESPN” of esports. Ought to none of this happen and Blizzard battles with the Overwatch League, Morgan Stanley reports the engineer ought to procure $20 million at least.

As a feature of the Overwatch League’s $100 million base valuation, Morgan Stanley proposes that a significant part of the cash, $32 million, will originate from substance authorizing and publicizing. Another 30 million will be earned through sponsorships, with the rest of the 13 percent and 27 percent originating from ticket deals and stock, separately.

There are four conceivable situations for the Overwatch League, the firm says. It is possible that it moves toward becoming a specialty, goes standard, lives as a trend, or simply isn’t beneficial. Furthermore, to have an effective life expectancy, Overwatch League needs to see its gathering of people and adaptation increment. As the key factors to Overwatch League’s prosperity, both gathering of people and adaptation must be needs for Blizzard.

The association’s analysts trust Blizzard must use existing esports association fanbases to make pressure and story lines around Overwatch rivalry, expanding upon the “developing esports energy.” Of the 25 million enrolled Overwatch players, Morgan Stanley evaluates that 17 million are a dynamic month to month clients. That is much more than the 72,000 normal dynamic watchers for the standard season, and 7.7 million watchers for the playoffs, expected to achieve Morgan Stanley’s base case for Overwatch.

For Morgan Stanley’s bull case, where the $720 million number originates from, Blizzard should point somewhat higher—75,000 normal watchers for the consistent season and 12 million normal watchers for the playoffs. Cash will take after from that point with a considerable group of onlookers size, Morgan Stanley says. Overwatch League openings are relied upon to cost a considerable measure, as well—however, we’ll know for beyond any doubt when the class commences around July.

The dust is in no motion to settle in the competitive gaming sector in India. As another round of investment from a Mobile company reportedly is investing millions into esports.

In so far as the esports industry is concerned, the investment interest route in esports was first initiated by Ronnie Screwvalla, who announced its first major league UCypher. The trend was followed by Nazara Games, which also announced a similar investment fund to boost the sector in India.

Other than a domestic online league and an international team, COBX is also initiating plans to organize an international level gaming event, which will see teams and players from overseas competing in India.

The third period of the ECS, which highlights gamers squaring off on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, will stream only on YouTube beginning March 25, London-based FACEIT said.

“This is certainly our greatest interest in this space general,” Ryan Wyatt, YouTube’s head of worldwide gaming, said in a meeting.

Malaysia’s Asia Pacific University is now offering students a chance to enroll in DotA 2 courses. The course in question has the title as “APU Esports Malaysia Academy Skills Certificate in Defense of the Ancients 2.”

UCypher’s league structures, insider information and unwrapping the idea behind

0

Corporate social responsibility stature is high in the electronic sports and digital gaming industry in India as everyone is posting as ‘game-changer’ and ‘industry-introducer’. What more exciting is the participation of players, and the people connected within these. Today, I talk about UCypher, which I initially covered through TalkEsport and got them their well-deserved exposure.

There were speculations about it. Confusions. And what not. As UCypher and its team call themselves “a company which will change the perspective of esports in India,” they surely are on their way to do so. I vouch for it. But not in a way they posted, if in a way they chose to disrupt the settled diligence of years.

Yesterday, we came across a news everywhere about UCypher’s announcement of their first league with unstructured teams, strong prize money and a fancy idea of broadcasting the games live on MTV. The first league will begin in June. Other than the news, we also came across photographs on their page about a “top-gamers” meet in Mumbai with none other than Ronnie Screwvalla himself with the CEO of USports. The get-together of pro-players ironically, from which I could derive from the photographs had no one from the top teams in India, D2D / Entity Esports.

USports’ CEO Supratika Sen addressing to the invited crowd at the launchget together of UCypher.

I am, however, unsure if they were not invited or they chose not to be a part of this unwillingly.

The structure – UCypher will begin their first season with six chosen captains with a managerial responsibility to form a complete roster of CS:GO & DotA 2 squad, regardless of the leader’s background. So far so good, the list of potential captains will be made public in the first week of April and it will be shortlisted by the management of UCypher. The shortlisting process will be by performance and achievements of the captain.

The master thereafter will prepare his squad of twelve athletes. Which technically means, it benefits the players who were either freelancers or team leaders. This structure is not for what we always stood for, and continue to stand. This not only impairs the past achievements of a roster as a team but also gives inappropriate power to event organizers to restructure an organization’s operations as they wish. Even if they call this to be mutually exclusive, it is pragmatically not. We can not expect to have two players playing on the same team and facing each other in the next month or so, since this is a game of strategy.

The skepticism also lies in the selection process and the list of invitees as we could spot most of the gamers to be from Mumbai and Pune, only. And if this remarks that the pro-gamers are only from Maharastra region. it is unfair to say so.

And it is also an injustice for groups like Brutality, Entity, and D2D, who took this as a profession with a team and spent years and years to mold themselves to perfection.

To counter my point, you can ask me to refer to IPL’s format, but then the Indian Cricket team was formed 106 years ago, and it took a long time for people to recognize and resemble the origin of players, other than IPL. A captain also has to be a community-driven gentleman who is experienced all verticals of this industry. Because everyone is not as cool as Ankit ‘V3nom’ Panth.

The good thing about UCypher is that they will be airing the whole event on television, the league will be broadcasted on youth channel MTV, which hosts famous shows such as Splitzvilla and Roadies. The games will follow the traditional daily-soap composition, wherein, the games will not be available on the internet until aired it on TV. Which also means, you will not be able to watch the games live. At least for the first phase of the season.

UCypher also seems to be cooperative with the players and doesn’t restrict players to participate in other teams as long as it doesn’t clash with their schedule. The first league will feature a prize pool of over Rs. 50 lakhs, which also attracts lots of new companies and audiences other than the participants.

The teams, players, and the crew goes for production and shoot in the month of April and the show will be on air in the month of June. The leverage and the amount of experience Mr. Ronnie Screwvalla holds, it is excellent for us as an industry who are a part of this. The future ahead seems to be bright only if the management of UCypher chose to be community-oriented rather trying to create a new spectrum. USports’s the company behind UCypher has more than enough reasons to tap a new industry and make it big, in a way it similarly did with Kabaddi Pro League.

UCypher announces its first league, will commence from June

0

U Sports founder Ronnie Screwvala and co-founder/CEO Supratik Sen today announced the launch of Season One of an ESports League. The best Gamers in India come together for the inaugural season to be in combat across PC, Console and Mobile with three of the most popular Games from around the world, including CS: GO and Dota 2.

The first season will have six teams of 12 players each – and unlike recently launched leagues, U Sports will not sell the teams in the first two seasons.

The League goes Live on MTV as the TV partner and will also go across digital platforms YouTube, Twitch and U Sports’ own digital platform. Commencing in June, it’s live for 36 consecutive days to the finale.

At U Cypher’s first meet with 70 of the top Indian gamers, Ronnie Screwvala and Supratik Sen outlined U Cypher’s vision to exponentially boost the perception of E sports in India. By becoming the first Esports league to be televised in the country, U Sports aims at a paradigm shift to drive a larger section of youth to gaming. Supratik Sen added, “While our goal is to move towards a live broadcast, we believe a packaged show format will help us cut across audiences.’

The teams will be competing in Season 1 for a prize pool of Rs.50 lakhs, split across all teams basis their final ranking in the league. “Our goal is to turn E sports from a hobby into a profession; and thus the Prize Money on offer each season will go up steadily, making it worthwhile for gamers to pursue their passion full-time”, Ronnie Screwvala. E Sports athletes will schedule their time to be a part of U Cypher. Supratik Sen added,’The league will create new identities suited for television and mass viewing preparing the players to become aspirational house hold names in the future.’

U Cypher will provide the much needed platform as a top E sports league in India for gaming. It will also work towards, so as to attract the best global talent into the league in the forthcoming U Cypher seasons. It will create greater excitement amongst the gaming community as it could be the link that will raise the level of E sports in the country. Finally this will be a league that could well make E sports a viable career option, at par with a career of a mainstream athlete.

Farzad Palia, head of youth & English Entertainment channels at Viacom18, said, “MTV has always been the one to set trends and innovate where the youth are concerned and broadcasting UCypher is one more such exciting innovation by us.“

Cooler Master India brings SheChose2Be; 1v1 championship for Females

0

Things will be different this International Women’s Day if you are a gamer, and oddly a woman. Cooler Master has decided to take up the responsibility to look for female gamers in the country. SheChose2Be, a 1v1 gaming championship, will be played on Drag2Death platform starting 4th of March, 2017.

Little different than the regular celebrations on International Women’s Day, Cooler Master has announced an all-together Esports event, SheChose2Be for females. The event will have DotA 2, CS:GO & League of Legends as the competing games. Not sure though how will the organizers deal with Shemales.

With the expectation to collect over 480 registrations, Drag2Death will allow the gamers to connect to register on their website and register for the tournament. Meteor Media will be taking care of the graphical and video affairs throughout the event.

SheChose2Be
Shagufta ‘Xya’ Iqbal at a gaming convention in Bangalore with famous CSGO personality, Edward. Today, despite the dominant perception that most gamers are men, the ratio of female to male gamers is balanced, mirroring the population at large.

The first, all-female esports tournament is not only limited to India, besides players from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Bangladesh are also open to register. The total prize money for the event is approximately Rs. 25,000 which will be paid in goodies.

Winners from all the three games will be awarded the same prize:

  • 1st Prize – Cooler Master MasterKeys Lite
  • 2nd Prize – Cooler Master Devastator II

Although the prize pool is not great, but the sentiment behind hosting an event at such a large geographical scale, presents the positive purpose of it. In India, there are lots of gaming events which are not restricted to males or females, but generally, the turn-up and participation are prevailed to be 100% males.

This time around, however, things are different. Different enough for the females to garner their talent, and an extraordinary chance to form a female pro community of their own. According to an Entertainment Software Association survey, women players in the United States increased from 40% in 2010 to 48% in 2014. And India is far from achieving those metrics at this point in time.

BenQ-Zowie enters into partnership with SoStronk

0

Zowie, which is undoubtedly the favorite esports brand for gamers has announced its six-month collaborated partnership with SoStronk. The two companies very earlier associated indirectly through Zowie Extremesland 2016 India Qualifiers, on which SoStronk took charge of the matches responsibility.

SoStronk, which is one of the top reputed esports brands in India has earlier partnered with and served to the established players in the Esports fraternity, with the likes of ESL, PGL. Very recently, SoStronk’s Sudhen ‘Bleh’ Wahengbam was introduced as a guest by a popular Esports analyst, Thoorin on his channel to discuss various esports possibilities in the Asian region.

Zowie, on the other hand, was one of the most anticipated esports brands to be launched in India the previous year, with this solid partnership, the PC Gaming and Esports happens to have a very good time ahead. The speculations suggest that Zowie and SoStronk will have a mutual vision for the development of the Esports and gaming scene in India. Both the companies will join hands to bring more significant events in India.

Other than the events, and product partnerships, Zowie’s product range will also be available on the SoStronk Marketplace for gamers to purchase using points that they can earn through participating in SoStronk daily events and tournaments.

Rajeev Singh, M.D., BenQ India, said: “This association with SoStronk solidifies our intention of providing viable platforms to talented gamers in India to take up gaming professionally. Zowie products ensure that this progress happens without any compromise on their gaming experience.”

Prashant ‘Aequitas’ Prabhakar, CEO of SoStronk: “I have been a long-time proponent of the Zowie brand, myself having used Zowie mice since they were first launched. As the CEO of SoStronk, I want to partner with organizations who take eSports and competitive gaming as seriously as we do. With Zowie, I feel SoStronk have found the right partner who shares the same vision and goals, and am excited to see what this brings for our users.”

Almost a year ago, Zowie was acquired by BenQ to help construct a mega Esports brand. The product range of Zowie’s mice assisted by BenQ’s marketing and business network steered the company to a great success in the industry. In India, however, Zowie’s products were introduced very recently.

Valve reportedly developing a Artificial Intelligent Anticheat

0

When gamers are affected in masses, Valve still doesn’t seem to appear little bothered. Things will, now, however, change as per a Valve engineer. Other than killing the numbers of hackers through VAC and Overwatch, Valve is developing a ridiculously smart and intelligent anti-cheat system which will run a thorough scan of every match-making played. Although it seems like a big dream, Valve’s official response in a Reddit thread has confirmed about their R&D working on such an interface.

The sense of affection about this development process from Valve concludes two sets of a genre in a generous mind. As said by the Valve engineer, that a good news states that they have already done researching about this system and are now implementing it further to eliminate the biggest threat to the CSGO community of the future. Not ignoring the adverse side of the story that the automatic scanning of demos takes too much time and resources and is right now next to impossible to introduce an innovation which will impact millions.

Valve Anti-Cheat official Reddit account’s response in a post: “So some bad news: any hard-coded detection of spin-botting leads to an arms race with cheat developers – if they can find the edges of the heuristic you’re using to detect the cheat, the problem comes back. Instead, you’d want to take a machine-learning approach, training (and continuously retraining) a classifier that can detect the differences between cheaters and normal/highly-skilled players. The process of parsing, training, and classifying player data places serious demands on hardware, which means you want a machine other than the server doing the work. And because you don’t know ahead of time who might be using this kind of cheat, you’d have to monitor matches as they take place, from all ten players’ perspectives.

There are over a million CS:GO matches played every day, so to avoid falling behind you’d need a system capable of parsing and processing every demo of every match from every player’s perspective, which currently means you’d need a datacenter capable of powering thousands of cpu cores. The good news is that we’ve started this work. An early version of the system has already been deployed and is submitting cases to Overwatch. Since the results have been promising, we’re going to continue this work and expand the system over time.”

The demonstration of the actual system which will be an automatic machine learning lessons on how to differentiate between a genuine and ingenuine kill may take quite some time to come to reality. But satisfyingly the cheat providers seem already terrified by this move. All the major CSGO cheat providers which blatantly chose to ignore Valve and its anti-cheat system, are now alert and have stopped offering cheats until further research from their end of investigation this new VAC system.
