Pokémon Go: Shinx Community Day Guide

Pokemon Go has announced its Shinx Community Day, which will be held on November 21st, 2021. Our Pokemon Go: Shinx Community Day guide goes over ways to maximize the most of this event, Shinx’s Community Day perks, and more!

Starting Nov. 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in your local time zone, the regular Community Day perks, such as higher spawn and Shiny rate, will be active.

How To Maximize Your Shinx Community Day

Shinx Community Day offers a hatch distance bonus, which means that any eggs placed in Incubators during the event will hatch in 25% of the time it would normally take. As it’s the last regular Community Day of the year, Shinx Community Day also comes with additional benefits.

Candy received from transferring Pokémon will be tripled, and you’ll have a better chance of earning XL Candy. Further, three free Raid Passes will be handed to players from the spinning gyms. It will also cost 25% less Stardust to trade Pokémon between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. in your local time.

How To Find a Shiny Shinx?

The players will be able to find Shiny Shinx much easier this time around. Community Day has increased the Shiny rate for the featured Pokemon. Players can also avoid grinding all day for the Shiny Shinx and simply pop an Incense and tap each Shinx that comes up. According to The Silph Road’s research, the Shiny rate during Community Days is around 1 in 25, which is not bad compared to the regular days.

Community Day Moves for Shinx’s Evolution – Luxray

Shiny Shinx evolves ultimately to Luxray and can be evolved anywhere between 11 AM till 7 PM in players’ local time on November 21st. The Shinx evolution will be able to learn Psychic Fangs, a psychic-type move.

League Of Legends Worlds Final Draws 73.8 Million Peak Concurrent Viewers

Riot reports that the 2021 League Of Legends Worlds Championship Finale broke all the past records and had 73.8 million peak concurrent viewers and an average minute audience of 30.6 million worldwide, including Chinese streaming services.

According to a statement by Riot Games and Stream Hatchet, a live streaming analytics organization, the five-game finale between DWG KIA and Edward Gaming had 73,860,742 peak concurrent viewers. Even without the Chinese viewership, the finale peaked at 4 million concurrent viewers, the most of any LoL match in history without Chinese viewership.

The Worlds 2021 brought a 60.33% increase in peak concurrent viewers over 2020 and dwarfed 2020’s year-over-year growth improvement of 4.7% in peak concurrent viewers, according to Riot Games and Stream Hatchet. Viewership grew by nearly 28 million peak concurrents year-over-year, even with other Chinese teams involved in the action in each of the previous three Worlds finals. In 2020, the finale between Suning Gaming and DWG KIA (known as Damwon Gaming) drew 46,067,896 concurrents viewers. Team DWG KIA won the game with a comfortable 3-1 score over Suning Gaming.

The Worlds 2021 saw the repeat of rivalry between South Korean Vs Chinese teams. This time a victory in favor of the South Korean team — DWG KIA, would have made them the second team to win back-to-back Worlds titles. But alas the Chinese team, Edward Gaming took the series 3-2 over the DWG KIA.

Riot Games along with John Needham, President of Esports, and Naz Aletaha, Global Head of League of Legends Esports, announced these stats at a press conference at the Chase Center in San Fransisco ahead of an NBA matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors on Sunday. Activision has released information about the tenth season in 2021 of Call of Duty: Mobile. Season 10 brings a new Multiplayer map, a new themed event, and Battle Pass. The new season has also brought the new Vacant Multiplayer map, the Search for Stansfield-themed event, two new weapons, a new Operator Skill, and Scorestreak.

Season 10 features a brand-new Battle Pass that includes free and premium items like new Operators, a new functional weapon, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, Charms, COD Points (CP), and more.

Da Kun Gaming wins Wild Rift: Horizon Cup

Wild Rift’s first-ever international tournament ‘Horizon Cup’ featuring the 10 teams from all regions ended with Da Kun Gaming emerging as the champions. DKG defeated the Chinese squad, ThunderTalk Gaming with a 4-2 score. Horizon Cup featured a massive prize pool of $500,000 USD which took place at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Group stage was played between November 13th – 17th, 2021 where the 10 teams were split into two groups of five teams. Da Kun Gaming and Thundertalk Gaming topped their respective groups and directly qualified for the semi-finals. Teams finishing at the second and third positions competed in the quarter-finals of the knockout stage.

Team Secret defeated SBTC Esports and KT Rolster defeated Sengoku Gaming to qualify for the semi-finals. DKG and Thundertalk Gaming won their semi-final matches.

The grand finals were a best of 7 matches where DKG took the first two rounds, Thundertalk Gaming came back strong with a 2-2 equalizer. The next two games were won by DKG which sealed their names on the trophy.

  • A new look Astralis featuring Kristian “⁠k0nfig⁠” Wienecke and Benjamin “⁠blameF⁠” Bremer will face the Ninjas in their opener post the departure of Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, Emil “Magisk” Reif and head coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen who have been rumored to join the ranks of Team Vitality. 
  • Amid multiple reports suggesting Team Vitality to shuffle their current roster, it is still unclear whether the French side would field their current lineup or make some last-minute changes.

N0tail to take a break from professional play, will mentor the new OG Dota2 Roster

The two time Ti champion has decided to step away from the professional scene of Dota 2 after a memorable journey with OG.

Johan “N0tail” Sundstein will be taking a break as a player citing fatigue and would be taking up the role of as a mentor to help the forthcoming iteration of the OG Dota 2 roster. The decision comes after spending nearly more than half a decade laying the roots of OG and anchoring the team to a plethora of championships, most notably at The Manila Major 2016, The Boston Major 2016 followed by a repeat triumph at The International 8 & 9. 

N0tail in a press release stated,

I’m personally taking at least a year off, taking a health break so to speak… For now, all I know is that I need a break. I’m very content, very happy. I’m lucky to have played with the guys I’ve played with for the past two years. I feel fulfilled. But I need a break.

The team’s early exit from the playoffs of the recently concluded The International 10 forced the former back to the drawing board leaving the players to re-evaluate their options moving ahead which saw Martin “Saksa” Sazdov and Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan leave the roster while Sebasitan “Ceb” Debs chose to retire just before this weekend. It all came down to N0tail and Topias Miikka “Topson” Taavitsainen with the latter mid-laner to sit out for the upcoming season, wanting to spend some time with his family and friends.

This will be the first time in the history of OG since 2015 where N0tail won’t be seen playing on the server after featuring in 35 Lans, 9 majors and 5 TIs under the banner of the same. 

Following the departure of all the five players from the active squad, OG Dota 2 now looks to start from a clean state with their current head coach Mikhail “Misha” Agatov rumored to transition as a player within OG while Tommy “Taiga” Le who recently parted ways with Team Liquid is expected to join the new iteration of Dota 2. 

I think it is essential that veteran players work with new players and help them develop. After all, during all these many years we have learned so many things. About Dota, about becoming a good teammate, how it is to be a professional player. That knowledge needs to be shared. We don’t want the next version of OG to be a carbon copy of the current one. But we believe that if we can transfer what we know, and let them add to this, then the ceiling will be much higher, and we can help them get there quicker. Hopefully save them from some of our mistakes 🙂

Valorant Champions 2021 is all set to begin on December 1st, 2021. Sixteen teams battle it out in the first-ever Valorant Championship with the victor gaining the bragging rights to call themselves the best team in the world.

Prior to the tournament commencement, Riot is planning to release its first Valorant esports song. This is being done in an effort to build hype for the tournament. Riot has already posted several cryptic previews for the song named “Die For You” on their social media platforms.

Valorant Champions ‘Die for You’ Release Date

Similar to how the League of Legends World Championship is promoted, Die For You is supposed to be a theme song that will be used to promote the first-ever Valorant World Championship.

As per the Riot Game’s teaser posted on the Valorant Champions Tour Twitter on November 21st, Die For You will have its World Premiere on November 22, at 8 AM PT/11 AM ET/5 PM GMT.

G2 in Talks With NaVi for mONESY

According to ‘OverDrive’ from HLTV, G2 esports are considering the signing of 16-year-old AWPer Ilya ‘mONESY’ Osipov. mONESY was signed by NaVi more than 2 years ago and has been part of their academy roster ever since. He has been part of FPL – Faceit Pro League, a hub for pro players and the best players on faceit to play together and has been doing great against players much older and more experienced than him.

Recently, in a report by dexerto and 1pv.fr it was reported that NaVi is open to offers for the Russian. This comes off the back of NaVi’s runner up finish in the second season of WePlay Academy League which took place on LAN. mONESY had an impressive performance there too and said in an interview that he was tier 1. And his stats justify that statement as he has been a cut above everyone else against the oppositions they have played. 

Recently G2 esports players have been teasing about how mONESY is a good player (but was later deleted) and mONESY himself posted a story on instagram saying ‘The time has come’. Shortly after this it was reported that NaVi was considering offers for him.

OverDrive has been an expert about CIS Counter Strike for many a year. He was the first one to break the news that SANJI would eventually leave VP and also about FL1T’s move to VP right before the major.

If the talks succeed we may see mONESY in a G2 esports jersey soon enough. But who he will replace remains to be seen as both JaCkz and AmaNEk have been doing their job well, but mONESY might be the final piece of the puzzle they need to get their hands on a trophy.

Streaming group OfflineTV or OTV has announced its first expansion since 2019 with the addition of QuarterJade, Sydeon, and Masayoshi to the team in a video published on YouTube on 19th November 2021.

The streaming group consists of some of the biggest steamers on the internet who boasts a massive following. The three new streamers to join them has similar clout if not close to that of the other members and will definitely expose OTV to a wider audience.

QuarterJade is the most popular of the 3 according to the numbers, with over 750,000 followers on Twitch, she is known for her League of Legends streams but can be also found playing Valorant these days.

Sydeon on the other hand is a variety streamer but her fame hails from her cosplays. She has been an active participant in the streams of several OTV members which makes her addition the least surprising. As one of the most well-known up-and-coming content creators, this will be a big step in her journey as a streamer. Among the 3, she has the least follower count which is an astounding 250,000 followers.

Masayoshi, much like QuarterJade is was strictly a Lol streamer who can be found playing Valorant these days. With over 450,000 followers, he is the second most follower person to join OTV.

With 3 big names joining the team right when the new year is about to begin, 2022 is a stage set for OTV to reach greater heights and only time can tell how they’ll do it.

maLeK to join Evil Geniuses

North American powerhouse Evil Geniuses are eyeing Frech coaching veteran Damin “maLek” Malek as a replacement for outgoing Damian “daps” Steele for the position of head coach of their CSGO roster.

According to a report by Dexerto, maLeK stepping down from the coaching position at G2 Esports after 4 years was a decision taken heading into the major and results, which were quite promising as the French-Balkan mix finished runner-ups had no role in it. This was confirmed by the maLek himself in a tweet.

G2 Esports looked quite threatening at the major, given they came the closest to stopping NAVI from winning it. Even with positive results, it was clear that G2 would make changes, which many speculated to come in form of a new AWPer, making maLeK’s departure a surprise to many.

With EG, looking like a shadow of their former selves, maLeK will have to shoulder the heavy task of building a team around Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte and Tsvetelin “⁠CeRq” Dimitrov who are the two remaining players after the departure of Peter “⁠ stanislaw ⁠” Jarguz, Owen “”Schlatter and Michał” MICHU “Müller.

With North American CSGO in a bit of turmoil, maLeK will arguably take on the hardest job of his coaching career, especially in a region where other games are gaining popular thus limiting the influx of new talent. Nothing but rumors surrounding the new roster of EG is available as of now but an announcement is expected soon.
