Valorant’s New Map Is Based In India? Find Out More!

We were long overdue for a new map from Riot and after their introduction of the 7-map active duty system, we saw Split make way for others. Ever since that change, Valorant needed a map to shake up the active duly pool, and here comes the ninth one, codenamed Jam which is likely located in India.

It is quite clear that Harbour, the brand new agent hails from India, and it is only fair that we assume the map is from India as well. The assumptions turned into a belief after several hints pointed towards the same, more recently the audio message from Harbour.

The map board makes it quite evident that South-Wester India may have served as the inspiration behind the ninth map in Valorant given where the pointer is placed.

Harbour’s entire launch has been based around his journey, which Riot has been putting up on their official pages. Through every location he visits, we can assume that the final stop will be India, upon which the new map, aka Jam, is based.

Riot has been very clever in building the hype for the new agent, paired with a new map, they do not need to make any extra effort to pull everyone’s attention. Fans are religiously following Harbour’s journey and cannot hold their horses to try it out.

However, the interesting development will be the map that Riot chooses to push out of the active duty pool. Up until this point, the community were very inclined towards having Split, one of the most played maps back, and now with the upcoming introduction of the ninth map, a shakeup may well be on the cards.
