MLT loses 0-2 to Reckoning Esports to go 0-4 in VCL SA playoffs

Reckoning Esports won their second match of VCL SA as they defeated MMLT 2-0 to throw them out of the tournament as they went 0-4 in the group stage.

The roster of MLT Esports consisted of Atharv “Rio” Ahire as the IGL, Shubham “CortezZ” Chhatre, Abhay “KnightRider” Mulchandani, Jay “BADlove” Patil, Venkatesh “Venka” Sharma and Saharyar “BadmaN” Shaikh(Sub).

Reckoning Esports had a talented lineup of Harsh “Harshhh” Arora as IGL, Saksham “Deadly10” Aurangabadkar, Jit “Tryst” Dutta, Daniil “flabben” Merzlyakov, Aleksandr “hvoya” Eremin and  Varun “Mast3r” Menon.

Map Veto and Selection

MLT banned Lotus and Reckoning banned Split and selected Pearl and Ascent respectively. Fracture and Haven were banned to make Bind the last map.

Match Recap

RGE won the first pistol of Pearl and dominated by winning 4 rounds in a row with Hvoya getting a triple kill in the bonus round. Badlove got a triple kill in round 6 to get the score of 2-4.  Round 7 was another triple kill by Badlove. MLT had just managed to equalize the score at 4-4 when RGE got a thrifty win, thanks to flabben’s triple kill clutch. RGE managed to close the half at 7-5. 

MLT won the second pistol but got eco’d the next round as RGE won the second round with sheriffs. Round 17 saw an amazing quad-kill by Deadly10 to bring RGE’s score up to 10-7. Round 20 saw a triple kill by Deadly10 but was overturned by Venka2cold as he got a 1v3 clutch to win the round with a beautiful Ace. But with another triple kill in round 21, RGE closed the map at 13-8.

Ascent started by MLT winning the pistol round and the anti-eco round. RGE won their full buy round but lost the next two rounds, MLT leading 4-1. RGE caught up a little but MLT finished the half at 7-5 with Venka2cold getting a quad kill and clutching a 1v2 in round 12.

The second pistol was won by RGE as Hvoya got a triple kill with the last kill being a knife kill. Hvoya again got a triple kill in the anti-eco round. They won the pistol round as Deadly pulled a 3k with his operator. RGE won 5 rounds in a row to lead 10-7 until MLT pulled a thrifty win in round 18. Round 20 was a flawless round by MLT with a 3k for Cortezz. Round 21 saw a triple kill by Deadly10 which was overturned by Rio who clutched an unbelievable 1v5 clutch to bring the score to 10-11. RGE managed to close the map at 13-11 to win the series.

Deadly10 was the Match MVP as he had an ACS of 302 and almost half a century of kills in two maps.
