Paytm Temporarily Removed From Payment Methods in Valorant Store

In what may come as a shock to many Indian Valorant fans out there, the popular local payment method ‘Paytm’ has disappeared from the Valorant store.

Although this change is believed to be temporary, the sudden removal of Paytm is certainly causing panic amid the South Asian Valorant players since they are unable to buy their favourite weapon skins from the Valorant store using their preferred payment method.

It didn’t take long for the issue to surface across social media forums as fans got confused about why Paytm was removed.

While the exact cause of the removal of Paytm hasn’t been made clear by Riot Games as of yet, it’s likely to be back before long.

For the unaware, Paytm is an Indian e-commerce payment system that’s prevalent across the South Asian country as one of the most popular virtual payment methods.

Paytm was originally introduced as a payment method in Valorant back in October 2020 after repeated demands from the Indian Valorant community.

Till Paytm makes its return to Valorant, Indian players have the option to make purchases in the Valorant store using other payment options like PayPal.

Edit: Riot Games has stated that Paytm should be back as a payment method once again after the end of maintenance. However, no estimate for competition has been given.
