Valorant: NRG acquire hazed from TSM

The 32-year-old North American has now joined the ranks of Team NRG after spending almost a year and a half with TeamSoloMid.

Team SoloMid on their Twitter handle have announced the departure of James “hazed” Cobb from their active Valorant division as the player has been acquired by NRG ahead of the 2022 pro circuit.

Initially, a part of mouseSpaz, hazed and co were signed by TSM in the second half of May in 2020 as under the leadership of the former, the team proved to be invincible, winning almost every Mid-Pinnacle tier tournament including the FaZe Clan Invitational, T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Showdown followed by a runner-up position against 100 Thieves at the First Strike tournament in North America. hazed’s last triumph came at the VCT 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers 2 where they outed FaZe Clan in the Grand Finals to earn a spot further in the Challengers playoffs although their rhythm seemed to hit a downward spiral facing elimination from the tournament. The latter did sabotage TSM’s chances to qualify for the North American LCQ due to an insufficient amount of circuit points required for the same

Ahead of their forthcoming competitive run, TSM decided to remove hazed from the active lineup only to join Team NRG in quick succession, a shot at redemption to redeem himself, the likes of which he failed to convert into glory for TSM.

At NRG, hazed will replace Matthew “Wedid” Suchan, with whom the organization parted ways at the end of October.

With the addition of hazed, NRG have:

  • James “hazed” Cobb
  • Sam “s0m” Oh
  • Daniel “eeiu” Vucenovic
  • Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor
  • Ian “tex” Botsch
  • Josh “JoshRT” Lee (Head Coach)

While TSM are now on the lookout to revamp their Valorant roster, an impeccable surge in their scouting duties might do wonders, fingers crossed.

  • Matthew “Wardell” Yu
  • Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik
  • Aleko “LeviathanAG” Gabuniya
