Indus Battle Royale: Olympic Pistol Shooter Heena Sidhu to be a Playable Character

Indus Battle Royale

India-based game developer SuperGaming has announced a partnership with the Olympic pistol shooter Heena Sidhu. She will be a playable character in Indus Battle Royale, the Made-in-India battle royale game.

The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) has ranked Heena Sidhu as the top pistol shooter in the world. She is also the first Indian to win gold at an ISSF World Cup finals competition.

Heena, a character whose in-game biography plays a key role in Indus’ universe and whose deeds have made her a living legend, is the outcome of this partnership. In Heena Sidhu’s actual life, she had to defy expectations in order to not only transform her passion for photography into a profession but also to be the finest in the world.

I was surprised to see an Indian game studio take so much care and attention to detail, especially in terms of shooting and gun play and how all of it translates into Indus. It’s something I noticed as an athlete and an avid gamer, which made collaborating with SuperGaming all the more easier.
Indus’ Heena has the right aspects of my attitude and personality. I hope you’ll enjoy playing as her as much as I had fun working with SuperGaming to bring her into the game.

Heena Sidhu

SuperGaming also made Mor-in-game Ni’s avatar, which is Heena Sidhu, known. The origin of Mor-Ni, who is cherished as a folk hero among the Yaksha, the sentient species that formerly named Indus their home, is related to the game’s narrative and was hinted at in a previous video.

Making of the Heena character

At SuperGaming, we take the term ‘putting India on the global gaming map’ seriously. Heena’s track record of excellence speaks for itself with putting India on the global map for shooting, this made collaborating with her the obvious choice.
Mor-Ni is an expression of India’s rich history with a look into the future. The initial thought was trying to answer how Indian culture, such as the well-established, recognisable symbols like the Indian peacock and Indo-fashion elements would look like from the lens of Indo-Futurism, while being highly inspired from the idea of creating a strong female character that exudes elegance, glamour, pride, and confidence.
