Gospel preacher banned from Twitch over “hateful conduct”

DrWitnesser, has been banned from Twitch for an indefinite period over engaging “in hateful conduct against a person or a group of many.” “esports missionary” or so he likes to call himself uses time between his Fortnite matches to preach the teaching of the Bible which in his recent streams contained something that went against the community guidelines.

Religion has always been something sensitive, that makes it very hard to deal with, especially for companies like Twitch who deal with the masses. Twitch users form a cosmopolitan community, including people of various agenda, religious views and opinions, thus a standard set of guidelines might often fall short to satisfy everyone’s needs.

Twitch didn’t publicize what in DrWitnesser’s content was found to be a “hateful conduct against a person or a group of many”, which they don’t for any bans they hand out. Naturally, forcing him to shift his content over to YouTube as his ban period remains indefinite. He might as well go through his streams to point out what exactly caused this for future references, or YouTube might give him a similar treatment for the same violation.

“Twitch has yet again showed they have no tolerance for a #Christian streamer who preaches what the #Bible teaches. They are a bias, hypocritical organization that shoves their agenda down everyone’s throats. I’m glad to be gone…taking some time off to decide my next move.” read his Tweet.

His immediate move was to continue his preaching over at YouTube, that he announced shortly after showing his frustration on Twitter. With his return date nowhere in sight, he might continue stream on YouTube incase their community guidelines fall in place with DrWitnesser’s content.
