GirlGamer esports festival to be held in Dubai for world finals

Dubai is set to host the World Finals in the third annual GIRLGAMER E-Sports Festival – a female-focused gaming competition which will bring key players of global gaming industry to the UAE, from December 12-14.

Apart from CSGO and LoL tournaments, the event will also host a business conference with talks by established leaders of the industry and a GIRLGAMER awards ceremony.

Team Carnage is the only confirmed participant of the tournament, having secured their place through the Oceania qualifiers in Sydney, with the other teams set to be confirmed by early October through qualifiers in Madrid, Seoul and Sao Paolo.

The event is set to be presented by Grow uP Esports and organised by Evoloop. Some of its partners include ROX Gaming, BBL Esports and Movistar Riders.

Fernando Pereira, President, Grow uP eSports said:
“We are very enthusiastic about bringing our event to Dubai and incredibly happy to have found such amazing partners to join us in the mission towards inclusivity. Diversity is at the heart of everything we do, and the GIRLGAMER World Finals will help bring global attention to the incredible gender equality work being done in the region. We also hope to inspire the young generation to grow up more inclusively and parents to develop better relationships with their children.”
