After Rumored Delays, Cyberpunk 2077 Developers affirms December Release Date

Recent rumors claimed that the release of Cyberpunk 2077 would be postponed to 2021.

CD Projekt Red, the developers of the upcoming action RPG Cyberpunk 2077, have reassured fans on the scheduled release of the heavily anticipated title.

Recently, a lot of rumors started surfacing that claimed the release of Cyberpunk 2077 to be postponed once again to 2021. Needless to say, fans were furious with the devs following these rumors which spread like wildfire through social media platforms.

Luckily, these rumors seem to have been false. According to an IGN report, the Cyberpunk devs have decided to confirm the December 10th release date once again instead of responding to the rumors.

“As a rule, we don’t comment on rumors or speculation,” a CDPR representative told IGN. “But I will confirm we were just taking time to update all of our assets to reflect the new launch date of December 10th.”

Previously, Cyberpunk 2077 was scheduled to be released in April 2020. The release was initially postponed till September, which was rescheduled once again to November. Only two weeks ago, CD Projekt Red delayed the release of the title from November 19th to December 10th, a move that resulted in the devs receiving death threats from some fans.
