ESPL 2021 was India’s first Franchise based Free Fire tournament where more than a million teams registered and generated more than 100 million views. While the tournament only featured one game, Mr Vishwalok hinted that the future iterations of the ESPL tournament will feature more games and platforms.

Talking with Talkesport, Mr Vishwalok expressed that his team is working hard to expand the platform and add more games aside from competitive esports titles. Yes, that’s right, India Today Gaming is working on some casual games and has already launched one casual game on the android platform. While Mr Vishwalok didn’t reveal the name of the game, he happily reported that his team was very happy with the response the game is getting and is closely watching the progress of the game. In future, the team plans to add more content to the sole title and work on launching more casual games.

“We have launched one casual game also and we are not marketing or talking about it at this point in time. We have kinda launched it and kept it on the Play Store while closely monitoring the reviews. The tech team is looking at the game response for bugs and content requests and so far are happy about the game. Once we are convinced about the game, we plan to do a mega campaign and market the game. We plan to come up with more casual games, while not at Free Fire and BGMI level, but they are gonna be more casual games.”

While the team is working on casual games, it doesn’t mean that the focus from competitive games will deter. As per Mr Vishwalok, Esports will remain the biggest slice of the pie they will be working towards. His team is working on adding support for Desktop and Console platforms and will include more popular titles in future events.
