Not Rockstar, not Take-Two’s lawyers, not the gaming press that has spent days trying to piece it together.
Here’s what’s actually confirmed, what’s still a guess, and why this is turning into one of the messier leak situations the industry has dealt with.
Who Is CyberLeek?
CyberLeek appears to be the online persona of the individual or the group who has been leaking information about GTA 6, giving the world a deeper look into the game ahead of its release, to the extent that fans have started to wonder whether it might be a developer who has access to an active build. Rockstar Games has yet to identify a suspect publicly, and legal efforts by parent company Take-Two Interactive are still in the early stages, leading to no official statement surrounding the identity.

The first clips that can be linked to CyberLeek appeared on August 18, where we could see gameplay centred around “Jason” along with minigames and open-world movement. Following this, we saw parts of the map, locations named Alton Island, Tequesta Retreat, Gloriana Key, and Catalan Key.
Many suggested that the clips were generated using old materials; however, that myth was debunked as fans pointed out elements, including one clip showing bullet impacts forming the word “LEEK” on a wall, indicating live gameplay on an active build rather than an AI-generated clip from previously published elements. Rockstar’s reaction included DMCA takedown requests against the leaked material, which suggests there is some truth to the clips.
For now, CyberLeek is an internet mystery, and online investigations by Reddit detectives have produced nothing but theories aside from the person’s location, background, and connection to Rockstar. Given the hype around GTA 6, it is obvious that this remains one of the hottest topics on the internet right now, and any attempt to take his content down from the internet would only speak to the authenticity of the leaked material.
As Rockstar continues to investigate the matter through legal channels, CyberLeek has confirmed that they operate a single official Telegram channel and website, and has cautioned that accounts using its name on other platforms, including X, Discord, and Instagram, should not be considered legitimate, making it harder to trace him back through IPs.
