Counter Strike 2: All You Need To Know About CS:GO Source 2

If you’re an avid CS:GO fan, you may have spent a couple of sleepless nights over the past few weeks in eager anticipation of the release of ‘Counter-Strike 2’. The port of CS:GO into the Source 2 game engine has always been a big deal in the game’s community. In fact, rumors revolving around a potential Source 2 release have been looming within the CS:GO community for several years now.

The hype and excitement surrounding CS:GO Source 2 reached new heights after a report from seasoned esports journalist Richard Lewis surfaced on the internet.

CS:GO Source 2 Leaks, Compiled

According to the report, some sources who spoke with Lewis confirmed that a new version of Counter-Strike titled ‘Counter-Strike 2’ would be released shortly. On top of that, the report also claimed that it’s possible that a test version might be available as soon as March of 2023.

This wasn’t the only leak that we received during March 2023, as only a few days prior to the report, an executable named “csgos2” was discovered in the files of an NVIDIA driver upgrade at the end of February.

With the most recent installment, Global Offensive, having been published in 2012, this was the first definitive sign of a Source 2 upgrade for Counter-Strike.

The beta edition of Counter-Strike 2 is expected to be released in March 2023, and the full game will follow on April 1 at the latest.

The 128 tick servers that have been requested so frequently by CS:GO players are presumably coming to the Source 2 version of Counter-Strike at launch. Also, a better matching system is in the works to reduce reliance on ‘third-party’ matchmakers like FACEIT and ESEA.

According to reports out of Seattle, the game has already been tested by a group of experienced players at Valve’s headquarters.

Initial Public Testing of Counter-Strike 2: What To Expect?

The beta edition of Counter-Strike 2 is expected to be released in March 2023, and the full game will follow on April 1 at the latest.

Players of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive have long clamored for 128-tick servers, and it seems likely that they will be included in the game’s initial release of Counter-Strike: Source 2. In addition, improvements are being made to the pairing system so that “third-party” matchmakers like FACEIT and ESEA will be used less frequently.

Improvements to the game’s visuals are promised by the forthcoming iteration of Counter Strike. It is unclear, however, how this will affect the game’s compatibility with less powerful hardware. However, there is some apprehension that the upgrade will make the game too resource-intensive for users with less powerful computers.

The game reportedly underwent testing by a team of experts at Valve’s Seattle offices.

As Lewis points out, it is currently unclear how the new update will be implemented into the game’s highest, competitive tiers and how this might affect the existing skin economy. Whether the new game will merge with CS:GO like Dota 2’s Source 2 version did or stay distinct from CS:GO like previous CS installments is unknown.

Later on March 5, Valve leaker “Gabe Follower” corrected Lewis’s claim, saying that the new game would not be called “Counter-Strike 2” or renamed in any way. Rather, it will be CS:GO built on the Source 2 framework.

Counter-Strike 2: Expected Release Date

As mentioned earlier, the public beta of Counter-Strike 2 will reportedly be released by the end of March 2023. Taking a glance at the previous major updates that the game has received, it’s safe to say that the CS 2 update will go live between a Tuesday and a Thursday. The odds of the Source 2 update dropping on a weekend are almost non-existent.

With the above being said, we may soon witness a major overhaul taking over competitive Esports which would shift tides in favor of Valve and Counter Strike if things seem to be promisingly decent enough and defer from going south.

QTCinderella reveals what JustaMinx did at the Streamer Awards

JustaMinx is a popular Twitch streamer who has gained a massive following for her entertaining streams and charming personality. Recently, she attended the Streamer Awards afterparty, and her actions at the event have been a topic of discussion among her fans and fellow streamers.

During an episode of the “Fear &” podcast, fellow streamer QTCinderella revealed some details about JustaMinx’s behaviour at the afterparty. According to QTCinderella, JustaMinx got very drunk and ended up causing a ruckus that led to the party coming to a halt at 11 PM.

Blaire, Valkyrae, HasanAbi, WillNeff, and AustinShow provided a lot of information about the Streamer Awards and afterparty, with QTCinderella discussing specific incidents that resulted in the party being shut down. QTCinderella, who has a close relationship with JustaMinx, expressed her concerns about the mental health issues that the Irish streamer has been dealing with recently.

However, it appears that the Streamer Awards host and organizer has distanced herself from JustaMinx after attempting to help her without success. The podcast episode containing these details can be found on YouTube, and the discussion about the party takes place around the 35th minute.

“I get to the party, she is wasted. She is getting escorted out by security because she is trying to throw heaters into the pool.” said Cinderella. “Like the big gas (propane) heaters. Like the ones that are seven feet, eight feet tall.”

“I heard she was trying to throw Sykkuno into the pool.” she added.

This revelation has sparked a conversation about the pressures of being a successful streamer and the toll they can take on one’s personal life. JustaMinx is not the first streamer to make headlines for their behaviour at a social event, and it is important to remember that they are human beings who are not immune to the stresses of fame.

“By the time I called out there, they are telling me that the party needs to be shut down because, since she’s in the front yard, neighbours have come out because it is causing a scene.” said Cinderella.

On the Fear& podcast, QTCinderella elaborated on why JustaMinx was removed from the Streamer Awards afterparty by security, citing her disorderly conduct as the reason. According to her, by the time she reached outside, JustaMinx’s friend had already called 911, prompting the arrival of a firetruck, police, and an ambulance. This resulted in the entire party being asked to leave by approximately 11 PM.

Following the incident, JustaMinx has asked to compensate QTCinderella for any damages resulting from her actions at the party and has expressed remorse.

Source 2 Added To CS:GO Developer Pre-Release Branch, Leakers Speculate Release in Next Update

The heavily anticipated ‘Counter-Strike 2’ might be closer than you think, as recent leaks indicate that Source 2 has already been added to the CS:GO developer pre-release branch.

Previously, the CS:GO community has witnessed leakers and dataminers consistently uncovering clues that suggest Valve has been actively testing the new engine before releasing it to the live servers.

However, it wasn’t until March 1 that the speculation surrounding the release of Source 2 in CSGO reached new heights when prominent leaker ‘Gabe Follower’ tweeted that NVIDIA drivers had added support for two new executables, “csgos2.exe” and “cs2.exe” This unexpected revelation sent fans into a frenzy, prompting renewed excitement and curiosity about the long-awaited game engine upgrade.

Following this, a March 14th Tweet from prominent CS:GO leaker ‘Aquarius’ indicates that the engine upgrade that the community has eagerly been looking forward to has already been added to the developer pre-release branch of the game.

This has led fans of the popular competitive shooter from throughout the globe to speculate that there’s a good chance of the Source 2 upgrade being introduced to CS:GO within the next few days.

This goes in accordance with a recent report from journalist Richard Lewis which claimed that the official launch of the highly anticipated CS sequel is likely only a few weeks away.

“The new version is almost certainly set to be released under the working title Counter-Strike 2 and the tentative release date for the beta is in this month of March with April 1st at the outside,” the report states.

What Will the Source 2 Upgrade Bring to CSGO?

While no official announcement has been made by Valve regarding the CSGO Source 2 update, we have seen plenty of leaks surface over the past few days to get a decent idea of what it’ll bring to the shooter.

For starters, Counter-Strike 2 is expected to bring 128-tick servers to matchmaking – a feature that the community has been requesting since the release of the game itself. On top of that, CSGO will also see matchmaking improvements, which means that the matchmaking will be much fairer than the current state of the game, and players will be matched with and against players of similar skill levels.

With an engine upgrade, comes the promise of visual improvements to the game as well. However, whether this will impact the game’s ability to run on lower-end systems remains to be seen. While players are excited about the potential for better graphics and smoother gameplay, there are also concerns about whether the upgrade will make the game more resource-intensive and less accessible to those with lower-spec systems.

QTCinderella opens up about the importance of Streamer Awards

0

Popular Twitch streamer and content creator QTCinderella recently spoke up about the importance of Streamer Awards and why they matter beyond just the physical trophy. In a recent stream, she addressed criticisms of streamers who care about winning awards, stating that it is about much more than just a “stupid frog trophy.”

One of the main reasons that Streamer Awards matter is the recognition they bring to the hard work and dedication of content creators. Streaming and creating content can be a grueling and time-consuming process, and many streamers put in countless hours to build their communities and create entertaining content for their viewers. Winning an award is a way to validate that hard work and acknowledge the effort that goes into building a successful stream.

But beyond just individual recognition, Streamer Awards also play an important role in the larger gaming and streaming communities. Awards help to bring attention to talented creators who may not have as large of a following or as much visibility as others. This can lead to opportunities for collaborations, sponsorships, and other partnerships that can help to grow their channels and expand their reach.

Additionally, Streamer Awards can help raise the profile of the streaming community as a whole. As streaming continues to become a more mainstream form of entertainment, it is important to have recognition and validation from the larger entertainment industry. Awards help to show that streaming is a legitimate and important part of the entertainment landscape, and can help to attract more mainstream attention and investment.

But QTCinderella also acknowledged that there are downsides to the emphasis on Streamer Awards within the community. Some creators may become overly focused on winning awards, leading to an unhealthy obsession with their rankings or numbers. This can lead to burnout, as streamers push themselves to constantly create new content and engage with their audiences in order to maintain their position.

However, QTCinderella emphasized that awards should be seen as a way to recognize hard work and talent, rather than the sole purpose of streaming. She encouraged her viewers to focus on creating content that they are passionate about, rather than solely chasing awards or rankings.

Overall, Streamer Awards can play an important role in the gaming and streaming communities. They help to recognize hard work and talent, raise the profile of individual creators, and validate streaming as a legitimate form of entertainment. However, it is important to remember that awards are not the sole measure of success, and that creators should focus on creating content that they are passionate about, rather than solely chasing recognition. As QTCinderella stated, Streamer Awards are “so much more than a stupid frog trophy,” and should be seen as a way to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work and dedication of the streaming community.

Teeqo exposes FaZe Clan

0

Earlier today former FaZe Clan member Teeqo posted a scathing video on his YouTube channel accusing the esports organization of not caring about him or other creators. In the video, Teeqo detailed his experience with FaZe Clan and called for the organization to make a statement explaining its actions.

Teeqo, otherwise referred to as Jacob, was a member of FaZe Clan for nearly five years before leaving in early 2023. In his video, he claims that he was never paid his fair share of the revenue generated by FaZe Clan’s content and merchandise sales. He also alleges that the organization showed little interest in promoting his content or helping him grow his personal brand.

“Everyone has made it very clear that I’m not an owner and I’m not even near any of the top dogs and I don’t matter for s—. You have shown me over and over and over again that I don’t mean shit to you all,” Teeqo ranted. “I know my place and they’ve made it very sure what my place is.”

He said: “I always thought I was just building, so I never asked for anything. But either you have to include me with you guys at a smaller scale or pay me. You can’t even pay me a little bit for the Champions photoshoot? I never asked for anything and just said yes and yes and yes because I thought I was going to be included with y’all.”

This issue is not unique to FaZe Clan, as other esports organizations and content platforms have faced similar criticism in recent years. However, the fact that these allegations are being made by such high-profile creators within the industry is indicative of a larger problem.

Professional CSGO player for FaZe, Finn “karrigan” Anderson appreciated Teeqo’s effort for the team and Tweeted the following:

As the esports and content creation industries continue to grow, it is important for organizations to prioritize the well-being and success of their creators. Without these individuals, these organizations would not exist, and it is crucial that they are compensated fairly and given the resources they need to thrive.

In the case of FaZe Clan, it remains to be seen whether Teeqo’s allegations will have any lasting impact on the organization. However, the fact that they are being made at all should serve as a wake-up call for all esports organizations and content platforms to examine their own practices and ensure that they are treating their creators with the respect and fairness they deserve.

In conclusion, Teeqo’s accusations against FaZe Clan highlight a larger issue within the esports and content creation industries. It is essential for organizations to prioritize the success and well-being of their creators, as they are the driving force behind their success. While the outcome of this investigation remains to be seen, it is important for all organizations within the industry to examine their practices and ensure that they are treating their creators fairly and transparently.
