BGMI Unban For 3 Months? Read Full Story Inside

0

In recent report by News18, it has been announced that Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) will be making a comeback in India after being banned for several months. The government has allowed the app to be unblocked for a period of three months, with some changes made to the original version of the game.

This decision comes after the company made certain modifications and assured the government that it would comply with all rules. While this may be good news for gamers, there are still concerns regarding why the game has been given a green signal despite intelligence reports indicating it was communicating with servers located in China.

Changes BGMI Will Have If It Comes Back

Restricted Play Time:

One of the major changes that will be introduced in the game is limited playtime. The government has imposed restrictions on the hours of playing to address addiction issues.

According to sources, there have been reports of murders and suicides being attributed to addiction to this game. Therefore, the company has been asked to introduce relevant changes in the game, including the server, to combat addiction.

No Blood:

Another change that has been made to the game is the removal of blood. The game’s developers have informed government officials that there will be no blood in the game. The game’s color scheme will be changed, and players will not have a choice to change the color of blood from red to blue and green during firing.

This change has been made to address concerns regarding the violent nature of the game and its impact on young players.

Internal Changes and Server:

The government has also asked the company to make relevant changes in the game, including the server, to combat addiction and prevent cyber threats. The game is facing allegations of addiction, with reports of players becoming fixated on it and committing violent acts.

There are also concerns regarding user data being harvested for profiling to carry out targeted cyber-attacks on Indian users. Therefore, the company has been asked to make necessary internal changes and modifications to the server to address these concerns.

Intel Report That Triggered Ban:

According to News18, a report by a central intelligence agency and communication from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) triggered a ban on the popular battle royale game.

The report highlighted violations that could lead to cyber threats by harvesting user data for profiling to carry out targeted cyber-attacks on Indian users. The App’s communication with servers directly or indirectly located in China was also flagged in the report.

The reintroduction of Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) is good news for gamers in India. However, the government’s decision to unblock the app for a period of three months with changes made to the original version of the game has raised questions about its compliance with Indian laws and regulations.

The changes made to the game, including limited playtime, the removal of blood, and necessary internal changes and modifications to the server, are aimed at addressing concerns regarding addiction and cyber threats. It remains to be seen if these changes will be enough to convince the government to extend the period of unblocking or if the game will be banned again in the future.
