Ubisoft Announces The Division 3

0

Ubisoft has confirmed that the third instalment of the popular franchise “The Division” is under development through their latest press release.

Ubisoft has been one of the biggest game developers on the face of this planet for a long time now and most of their titles end up becoming best sellers and one of said titles is”The Division”. When the first iteration of the game came out, it was an instant hit among gamers and the sequel established it as a massively successful franchise upon which fans were begging the developers to release the 3rd instalment. While there were rumours, Ubisoft has cleared them to confirm that the game is indeed in the works.

“This announcement represents Ubisoft’s dedication to the longevity of the brand. In his new role, Julian will drive the many interdependent production elements of The Division brand in a unified direction. “This includes development oversight, operations, and creative vision together with the development teams around the world who are currently developing the mobile game Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence, Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland, and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.” reads their statement.

Ubisoft is betting big on the third instalment of the game given Division 2 remains of the games with a relatively high DAU. However, Division 3 will probably build on the feats achieved by its predecessors and reach heights never seen before.

Release Date

Unfortunately, the game is likely at a nascent stage and it is safe to assume that it won’t surface before the third quarter of 2024. Gerighty and Massive Entertainment, two well-known developer houses have committed to developing the game recently but right now would be too soon to expect something presentable from them. Hold your horses for now or get excited about the new Assassins Creed game Ubisfot is set to release in the coming months.

India Retains Its Position as the Fastest-Growing Gaming Market in Asia

0

In 2023, India stands as the world’s most populous nation, and within its borders, a digital revolution is brewing. According to the India Games Market Report by Niko Partners, India is retaining its position as the fastest-growing gaming market in Asia. The report delves into the intricacies of India’s gaming landscape, revealing astounding figures and trends that paint a vivid picture of this growing industry.

The Unprecedented Growth of the Gaming Industry

India’s gaming ecosystem has witnessed an unprecedented growth in recent years. According to Niko Partners, the total number of gamers in India is projected to surge by a remarkable 343% between 2017 and 2027, soaring to a staggering 641.2 million by 2027. This surge is not limited to gamers alone; video games revenue is on an upward trajectory as well, with a forecasted 21% year-over-year increase in 2023, reaching an impressive $868 million.

Several key factors are fueling this gaming revolution in India. Rising disposable income levels among the population are enabling more people to access and enjoy gaming. Simultaneously, the widespread growth of internet connectivity is bridging the digital divide, connecting even remote regions to the gaming world. Furthermore, the prevalence of affordable smartphones is making gaming accessible to a broader and more diverse audience.

India vs. China: A Rivalry in Gaming Industry

A noteworthy aspect of this report is the comparison between India and China, two Asian giants in the gaming industry. In 2017, India had 144.9 million gamers, while China boasted 605.2 million. However, fast-forward to 2027, and India is all set to overtake its neighbor with 641.2 million gamers, showcasing an astounding 343% growth rate. In contrast, China’s gamer base is also growing but at a more moderate 21% rate.

Another statistic reveals that India is predominantly a mobile gaming market, with a massive 96.8% of gamers playing on smartphones and tablets.

In-Game Spending and Esports Engagement

Around 31% of all gamers in India are willing to spend money on video gaming. This denotes a substantial market for in-game purchases and monetization strategies. Moreover, a remarkable 71.8% of gamers actively engage with esports, pointing towards significant opportunities in this burgeoning sector.

The return of blockbuster games like Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Free Fire is a positive sign for the industry. This will attract both domestic and foreign game companies looking to tap into the Indian market. The report states that India’s gaming revenue, across all platforms, has reached $868 million in 2023. Additionally, it will reach $1.6 billion by 2027 with a 5-year CAGR of 17.2%. Concurrently, the gamer base is expected to swell to 641.2 million by 2027, growing at a 5-year CAGR of 10.1%.

BGIS 2023 Controversy: Cheating Accusations on Team Night Owls

0

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 (BGIS 2023) has found itself in yet another cheating-related controversy. In a tournament where skill and strategy are put to test, accusations of cheating have shaken the gaming community. The controversy revolves around a player from the Night Owls team, known by the in-game name ‘noCleo.’ After a series of exceptional performances, particularly on the Sanhok map, a cloud of suspicion has enveloped noCleo, prompting some members of the gaming community to demand answers.

BGIS 2023: The Allegations Against Team Night Owls

The allegations against noCleo first emerged after his outstanding performance during the BGIS 2023 Round 4 Day 1 matches. On Sanhok, he achieved an impressive 12 finishes, a feat that raised eyebrows considering he was an underdog and the sole survivor from his team. Many Spectators were left astounded by his exceptional performance in that match, leading to suspicions of foul play.

To support their claims, accusers have presented three separate video clips from the BGIS 2023 live stream. These clips purportedly showcase moments that fuel suspicions of cheating. Key among these clips are instances where noCleo seemingly exhibits an uncanny level of accuracy and game sense, raising questions about the legitimacy of his gameplay.

noCleo’s Response to Cheating Accusations

In response to the mounting allegations, noCleo took the initiative to address the issue. He uploaded his Point of View (POV) recording of the controversial Sanhok match of BGIS 2023 Round 4 where he secured 12 finishes. However, this move did not entirely put an end to the doubts. Observers noted that the provided footage appeared to be a curated highlight video rather than raw, unedited gameplay. Furthermore, the presence of background music in the video made it challenging for viewers to listen to the in-game communications and calls made by the team.

In light of these observations, the accusers have asked noCleo to release the raw, unedited footage of the match. They argue that only unaltered gameplay can definitively prove or disprove the allegations of cheating.

Disclaimer: It’s important to clarify that ‘Nightowl Esports’ and the team facing allegations, ‘Night Owls,’ are two distinct entities. Despite sharing a similar logo, they do not share an association with each other at all. Both parties have acknowledged the confusion caused by this visual similarity and are actively working towards a resolution. The accusations of cheating remain centered on the specific player’s performance in BGIS 2023 and do not reflect any wrongdoing on the part of ‘Nightowl Esports.’

How Online Gaming Took Over the World

0

You don’t need to look very far to see the extent of online gaming’s popularity. Turn on the television, and you’ll see adverts for the latest mobile online game appearing during primetime slots. That’s something that would have been unthinkable fifteen years ago, and it says a lot about the current gaming landscape. Any product that appears on television has high ambitions for success — and in the case of online gaming, the goals are justified. After all, this is an industry that’s worth a staggering $204 billion. By 2032, it’s predicted to be worth some $440 billion.

None of this is by accident. While the market for video games has always been there, it’s the current conditions that have helped to take the industry to new unprecedented heights.

Global Reach

When we say that online gaming took over the world, we really mean it; this is a global phenomenon that you’ll find in all corners of the planet. Of course, some countries have played a bigger role in the sector’s rising popularity than others. Online gaming in Canada, for example, is hugely popular, in large part because of the favorable policies that allow Canadians to play the whole spectrum of online games, including casino games. And in the United States, there are more than 4,000 professional eSports players. The biggest audience for gaming, however, is Asia, where there are a staggering 1.5 billion gamers.

Deep Engagement

It’s not just the games themselves that have led to such success. The culture surrounding online gaming has also played a pivotal role. Again, it’s all thanks to the internet, which provides a platform for new and innovative ways to engage with games. For instance, there are online communities — and plenty of memes — that allow gamers to feel part of a community. And then there’s online gaming streaming on websites such as Twitch, which can see top players attracting an audience of millions. All of these things help to create a committed community of game lovers.

Accessible Online Gaming

There’s another substantial reason for the rise of online gaming: it’s much more accessible than it was twenty years ago. Back then, to play games you’d need to have a machine, such as a gaming console or high-powered PC. But today, you can try your hand at a wide selection of games with little more than your smartphone and an internet connection, and even the most basic of computers can handle the majority of the latest game releases. This has helped lower the barrier to entry into the gaming community, allowing people to try games without making a big commitment. And once people are on the gaming hook, they rarely leave.

Broad Spectrum of Game Types

Online gaming’s popularity can also be attributed to the significant increase in game releases that have occurred over the past 10 years. In 2012, just 301 new games were released on Steam. By 2022, that figure had risen to 12, 500. The gaming industry now caters to a large and diverse group of players — there are plenty of offerings for hardcore gamers that love deep, challenging, story-driven games, but there are also plenty of casual games for smartphones that low-level gamers can enjoy on their commute to work, and everything in between.

Will Anything Stop the Rise of Online Gaming?

That’s the state of online gaming today, but what about the future? With the audience for gaming growing all the time, and new technology allowing for better, more immersive experiences, it’s fair to say that online gaming isn’t going away anytime soon — and will likely lead to new and exciting waters.

How to Get Karasawa in Armored Core 6?

0

Unlike other weapons, acquiring the Karasawa isn’t a straightforward task and doesn’t come with game progression or hidden chests in Armored Core 6. It demands significant effort and time, making it a rare treasure even for seasoned players.

The weapon, also known as KRSV, is renowned for its formidable power, especially when charged, and is a hybrid of plasma and laser weaponry.

How to Get Karasawa in Armored Core 6?

  • Navigating through LOGHUNT Program: To unlock Karasawa, players need to advance through the LOGHUNT program to level 12. This involves revisiting missions and progressing into New Game+, collecting combat logs, and destroying marked targets on the map.
  • Understanding the Weapon’s Dynamics: The Karasawa, when uncharged, has an attack power of 312. However, when charged, it escalates to a whopping 2522, making it a lethal addition to the Armored Core build. The weapon, although powerful, comes with substantial recoil and high ammo cost.

Court Docs Reveal Microsoft’s Plans to Bring PC Games to Xbox Cloud Gaming

0

In the dynamic world of gaming, Microsoft has been at the forefront of innovation, consistently pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Recent internal communications from the FTC v. Microsoft case have shed light on the tech giant’s plans to revolutionize cloud gaming by streaming PC games.

While Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming service has been primarily focused on Xbox titles, leveraging the power of Azure servers for PC game streaming is the next big step.

Decoding Microsoft’s Strategy for PC Game Streaming

  • Broadening the Horizon: Microsoft’s current cloud gaming service, Xbox Cloud Gaming, is restricted to Xbox titles due to the servers running specialized Xbox Series X chips. However, the company’s vision extends beyond this limitation, aiming to harness its Azure servers to stream PC games.
  • Internal Communications Reveal Plans: An email exchange between Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Xbox chief Phil Spencer, along with other key figures, highlighted the company’s intent to counter Google’s Stadia by developing an Azure solution for streaming native PC games.
  • The Competitive Landscape: Phil Spencer’s insights into the competition revealed that while Google’s Stadia had potential, its progress was surprisingly slow. In contrast, Nvidia’s GeForce Now emerged as a formidable competitor. Microsoft also kept a close watch on Amazon’s Luna, though it too faced challenges.

Despite the slowdown in Xbox Cloud Gaming’s development, Microsoft’s commitment to enhancing the cloud gaming experience remains unwavering. Promises of Xbox Cloud Gaming supporting existing game libraries and collaborations with entities like British mobile network EE hint at the company’s broader vision.

The testing of mouse and keyboard support for Xbox Cloud Gaming further underscores Microsoft’s dedication to providing a holistic gaming experience.

League of Legends Bait Ping to Be Removed After Players Misuse It

0

League of Legends, a game synonymous with competitive spirit and strategy, has long been plagued by instances of in-game toxicity, with players often resorting to taunts and unsportsmanlike conduct to belittle their peers. Riot Games, in a bid to foster a more inclusive and respectful gaming environment, is implementing stringent measures to curb such detrimental behaviors, starting with the removal of a notorious BM ping in the upcoming update.

In Patch 13.19, Riot Games is introducing a pivotal change to the communication system, where scoreboard pings for allies will be visible only to the individuals activating them. This alteration implies that players will no longer be able to spam “Champion Name – Alive” in the chat to harass teammates for their mistakes. However, players will retain the ability to ping specific items or ultimate timers, but these will not be visible to other team members.

While these modifications are aimed at reducing toxicity, they have sparked discussions within the community regarding the balance between effective communication and maintaining respect among players. Some argue that removing such communication tools could potentially hinder strategic gameplay, especially in critical late-game situations where timely communication is crucial.

A middle ground, such as implementing relative timers to prevent ping spamming, has been suggested as a viable solution to maintain the essence of communication while eliminating its abusive aspects.
