Valorant 5-Stack Restrictions Removed in Patch 7.07 Update

0

As Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 nears its end, Riot Games is gearing up to ship the upcoming 7.07 update to the competitive shooter.

The patch notes for the next Valorant update has already been revealed by the developers, and while the 7.07 update isn’t bringing any major changes to the title, there are a bunch of important adjustments to certain Agents and gameplay elements that players should take note of before they head into Valorant Episode 7 Act 3.

The biggest and perhaps the most important change that Valorant 7.07 will bring is the change to competitive 5-stacks. The upcoming Valorant update will revert the changes to 5-stack matchmaking that were introduced in patch 7.06.

For the uninitiated, the Valorant 7.06 update limited players who were Ascendant or above to queuing with players ranked Platinum or higher only.

“We know how important it is to play with your friends and your need for flexibility in order to do that,” Riot Games said in a statement. “Initially, the rank restriction was made to prevent people from illegitimately boosting to the highest ranks like Radiant. In the end, we realized that your ability to have flexibility with your 5 stack was more important than the very small number of people who abuse this exploit.”

Other than the competitive changes, Valorant 7.07 also brings with it a number of interesting adjustments that fans can check out below:

MAP UPDATES

HAVEN

  • Updated the destruction VFX for the destructible door panels located at Mid Doors/Garage in order to make it easier to see through as it falls away.

PERFORMANCE UPDATES

  • Enabled multithreaded rendering for discrete Intel GPUs and lowered required CPU core count.

BUG FIXES

GENERAL

In Patch 7.06, we fixed a bug that allowed the game to output surround sound when certain conditions were met, but the surround mix was untested and unsupported. VALORANT currently only supports stereo and mono sound output.

  • To simulate surround sound on headphones, we offer an HRTF setting. We do not recommend combining the HRTF setting in game with other surround sound virtualization software at the same time since this will result in double processing.
  • Note that other surround sound virtualization software cannot derive surround sound information from the stereo mix.

AGENT

  • Cypher
    • Neural Theft (X) now completes even if Cypher dies after casting.
    • Fixed an issue where you could remain blinded if spectating a flash through Cypher’s Spycam (E) as the round ended.
  • Gekko
    • Dizzy’s (E) enemy detection range is now correctly reduced while inside of Viper’s Pit (X) ability.

PREMIER

  • Fixed an issue where the Attacker team takes priority over the Defender team in the Overtime vote.
  • Fixed a bug where a second timer bar would appear after the “Choose Side” vote had already ended.
  • Fixed a bug where certain scenarios would cause subsequent Overtime Priority votes to occur in the following round.

How To Play CSGO After CS2 Release?

0

After a long wait and an extensive limited test phase, Valve has officially launched Counter Strike 2 to the title’s eager player base on September 27, 2023. The CS2 launch also brought alongside it a plethora of new changes to the shooter aiming to improve matchmaking, fix underlying issues, and more, but a portion of the game’s community is still unhappy with the current state of the CSGO sequel.

If you’re finding yourself dissatisfied with Counter Strike 2, or simply longing to relive the nostalgia of the original, you might wonder, “Can I still play CSGO after the release of CS2?” Fortunately, the answer is yes.

Players are still able to play their beloved FPS title CSGO even after the release of CS2, but there are certain limitations to it. In this article, we’re about to check out how you can download and install CSGO right now on your PC via Steam.

How To Install CSGO After CS2 Release

Whether you’re eager to hop onto a CSGO custom game with your friends or simply looking to refine your surfing skills before community servers are added to CS2, we have you covered.

Playing CSGO on your PC after the release of CS2 is entirely possible and you can do it in just a few steps. Without further ado, let’s check out how you can install CSGO on your PC right away.

  • Launch Steam.
  • Right click ‘Counter-Strike 2’ from your Steam library.
  • Click on ‘Properties’.
  • Go to ‘Betas’.
  • Change ‘Beta Participation’ from ‘None’ to ‘csgo_demo_viewer’.

Once done, you’ll see that Steam will automatically start downloading files for CSGO on your PC.

Let the download finish, and launch CS2. You should be greeted with the CSGO main menu after you launch the game and you’re free to play your favorite FPS title once again.

However, do note that you’re not able to participate in official matchmaking games from your CSGO client, which means that you won’t be able to queue for Competitive, Casual, or any other official modes. Community servers and custom games work normally.

Interestingly, at the time of writing, players are also able to purchase and open capsules from the CSGO client.

Is Assassin’s Creed Mirage Coming to Steam?

0

With the anticipation surrounding the release of “Assassin’s Creed Mirage,” many gamers are curious about its availability on various platforms, especially the popular digital distribution service, Steam.

As of now, “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” is not available on Steam. Instead, the game has found its home on the Epic Games Store. This has raised eyebrows among the gaming community, especially those who have been accustomed to purchasing and playing the previous Assassin’s Creed titles on Steam. The convenience of having all games under one digital roof is something many gamers cherish.

Why Isn’t AC Mirage on Steam?

Ubisoft has chosen to release “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” on the Epic Games Store, a decision that might be influenced by various strategic partnerships or financial considerations. However, it’s essential to note that this doesn’t mean the game will never make its way to Steam. Historically, many mainline Assassin’s Creed games have eventually landed on Valve’s platform. For now, players wishing to experience the game on PC will need to either use Ubisoft’s launcher or purchase it from the Epic Games Store.

While there’s no official confirmation, there’s a possibility that “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” might become a timed exclusive on the Epic Games Store. This means that after a specific period, the game could become available on other platforms, including Steam. Given the history of the Assassin’s Creed series on Steam, this scenario is plausible.

Set to release on October 5, “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” promises to deliver an immersive gaming experience across various platforms, including PC, PS5, and Xbox. The game is expected to harken back to the series’ roots, emphasizing stealth mechanics and a linear narrative within a contained environment, as opposed to expansive open-world exploration.

Valve Responds to False VAC Bans for Windows 7 CS2 Players

The launch of CS2 was not without its challenges. Windows 7 players reported random decreases in their trust factor, which subsequently led to VAC bans. This issue garnered significant attention on gaming forums such as r/GlobalOffensive.

Given the history of cheating in Counter-Strike titles, many in the community were initially skeptical about these claims of false bans. However, as of October 3, it appears that justice has been served, with the affected players being unbanned.

Cheating in CS2: A Recurring Issue

Cheating has been a persistent issue in the Counter-Strike series, especially in its predecessor, Global Offensive. While Valve has been proactive in issuing ban waves to address the problem, the trust in the system was shaken when genuine players faced bans due to the Windows 7 glitch. The challenge for Valve lies in distinguishing between actual cheaters and those wrongfully penalized.

While the VAC ban issue was a significant concern, CS2’s launch faced other criticisms as well. Players expressed disappointment over missing features from Global Offensive, such as official retake servers. Additionally, the game has been reported to have numerous bugs and lacks the smoothness of CSGO in terms of movement and hit registration.

Despite its rocky start, CS2 holds promise. Those familiar with the challenges faced during Global Offensive’s launch view the current situation as comparatively better. With Valve’s active involvement in addressing issues and enhancing the game, CS2 is poised to become a standout title in the Counter-Strike franchise.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Release Time Countdown

0

Ubisoft Bordeaux’s latest creation, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, is a nod to the series’ origins. Unlike its expansive predecessors, Mirage is a compact title that immerses players in the dense urban landscape of Baghdad. This game is a refreshing deviation from the expansive RPGs Ubisoft has been producing, focusing on a more concise narrative and gameplay.

Mirage’s Gameplay Dynamics

Mirage promises a gameplay experience reminiscent of the franchise’s early days. Players will step into the shoes of the street thief, Basim Ibn Ishaq, a character introduced in Valhalla. As Basim aligns with the Hidden Ones, he embarks on a mission against the Templar Order in the heart of Baghdad. The game emphasizes stealth, close-quarter combat, and parkour, offering players a chance to navigate a bustling Middle Eastern city. Additionally, players can look forward to a plethora of weapons and upgrades, including the iconic hidden blade and a new “Assassin’s Focus” ability.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Release Details and Platforms

Scheduled for release on October 5, 2023, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game is priced at $49.99, with a Deluxe Edition available at $59.99, offering additional in-game content and digital extras. Apple enthusiasts can also anticipate a version for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in 2024.

Countdown

Countdown to 5th October
Days: , Hours: , Minutes: , Seconds:

For those keen on the technical aspects, Assassin’s Creed Mirage requires approximately 36 GB of storage on Xbox Series X/S and 40 GB on PC.

Ubisoft’s decision to price Mirage lower than most modern games is a strategic one. Recognizing that not all future installments will be expansive RPGs, Ubisoft has adjusted its pricing model. This move reflects the company’s commitment to delivering value while adapting to the evolving gaming landscape.

0

After taking the reins of Twitter in October 2022, Musk has been at the forefront of numerous innovative changes. One of the most notable shifts was the rebranding of Twitter to “X”. Recently, Musk has been actively testing the platform’s broadcasting capabilities, often going live unexpectedly.

Musk’s passion for gaming is no secret. His recent venture involved the unveiling of a gaming stream feature. This allowed him to broadcast his Diablo 4 gameplay to a staggering audience, with the stream garnering over 2.8 million views. Before this groundbreaking stream, Musk teased his followers with a tweet, hinting at testing the “X video game streamer system”.

This new gaming streaming feature isn’t just a one-off event. It’s now available to premium users, offering them the chance to broadcast their gameplay. During Musk’s stream, viewers had the unique opportunity to watch him play Diablo 4, complete with a face cam, for almost an hour.

Fans were quick to point out a few issues, including the absence of a live chat function and some technical glitches. Elon Musk acknowledged these issues with his characteristic humor, hinting at improvements in the future.

Musk’s livestream achievement, with its millions of views, is undeniably impressive. However, it’s essential to note the platform’s metric for counting views. Twitter/X considers a video viewed if it’s watched for at least 2 seconds at 50% view.

Knights Arena Valorant Tournament Manager Allegedly Steals Registration Fees, Fired

The esports world was recently shaken by a controversy surrounding Knights Arena, a prominent North American Valorant Challengers League Tournament Organizer. The organization found itself in the spotlight after allegations of stolen registration fees came to light, leading to the firing of a key employee.

A former participant of a Knights Arena Valorant tournament raised concerns about an employee, events manager Jasper ‘sfX’ Ko, alleging that he was owed approximately $200 in registration fees. Following these allegations, sfX announced his departure from Knights. The situation escalated rapidly, prompting Knights to launch an official investigation.

Knights Arena’s Response

In a public statement, Knights Arena confirmed the termination of the said employee. The organization revealed that the individual had misled event participants by directing them to a personal payment portal, making them believe they were using an authorized Knights Arena payment method. In reality, the funds were being siphoned away from Knights Arena.

Knights Arena has taken a proactive approach in addressing the issue. They are currently in touch with the Americas Valorant Players Union to document the incident and are reaching out to affected individuals for refunds. Furthermore, they have reported the matter to local authorities, hinting at potential legal actions against the individual involved.
