Counter-Strike has always been a game that is enjoyed more when playing with and against friends. Bragging rights have always been the sweetest reward that the game has to offer but private matchmaking was never really a part of the game CS2 has a way around it that allows players to create a custom match to play with friends without any 3rd party support.

Back in the days of CSGO, if a group of 10 wanted to play a match together, the only way out was to create a community server or host a game on LAN. Creating a community server is not an easy task and requires special skills Gaming cafes are not accessible to everyone so the limitations for private matchmaking were overwhelming.

With friends added, you can now host your own private CS2 match by following these steps:

  • Start CS2 and go to “Play.”
  • Click on “Play with Friends”.
  • Invite your friends.
  • Customize the matchmaking settings.
  • Click “Go” and invite your friends.
  • Click on “Start Match” to launch the game.

Valve Withdraws Support for CSGO from Today

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been everyone’s favorite first-person shooter for more than a decade and while it was a great game, a string of underlying issues was watering down the experience for players with a new version of the game being the only solution which dropped under the name of CS2.

When CS2 came out, it replaced CSGO on Steam and thereby forced a transition during a period when the freshly minted FPS was riddled with bugs but as time went by and the esports scene for the game switched to it, players were forced to adopt the problematic game. However, Valve was quick to iron out any issue that surfaced and now we can enjoy a fairly stable build of the game.

As we enter the new year with the stable build of CS2, Valve has announced that CSGO will no longer receive any support or updates from the developers.

The last build of CSGO that came out right before CS2 will be the final version of the decade-old game and any form of support from Valve or Steam will be rescinded for the foreseeable future. The player base has completely transitioned into the new game, and they have no reason to allocate resources towards something with no future.

Pokimane’s podcast Don’t Tell Anyone is a platform where she shares the private and difficult experiences of her life that were kept from the internet. In the latest episode, she revealed her experience of getting cheated on in a relationship from her high school days that continued for years.

Pokimane reveals stories from her past bringing her closer to her fans as such things are extremely relatable and make Pokimane more humane. Breakups and cheating have been the episodes of many of us. Pokimane revealing her own experience with the same creates a deep bond with her fans, eventually leading the podcast to become a place where feelings can be vented.

“So this issue resulted in some of the absolute weirdest experiences of my whole life,” Pokimane explained. “Like there were times where we might be finally hanging out in person and he’d be pushing me to have sex with him. And when I say no, I kid you not, he would throw a temper tantrum and he was older than me.”

She revealed that the person in question kissed a mutual friend of theirs but never admitted to doing it which ended up breaking her trust and caused them to part ways but she wanted to continue despite all the red flags.

“I never heard my friends telling me that they were pressured by someone and felt terrible and said no. And it was one of the best decisions that they’ve ever made in their life. And I want to tell you guys sitting here today, I am so, so certain that that was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my whole life.”

Team SouL has signed the former Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) roster of Blind Esports. The announcement, made on 1st January 2024, comes on the heels of Team SouL and Blind Esports parting ways with their respective rosters just a week prior. As a result of Team SouL’s partnership with iQOO, this new roster will be playing under the name Team iQOOSouL in all the upcoming BGMI tournaments.

Team SouL Signs Manya, NakuL, Rony, Spower, and Jokerr

On the 24th of December, Team SouL bid farewell to its fan-favorite lineup, including notable players Harsh “Goblin” Paudwal, Sahil “Omega” Jakhar, Akshat “AkshaT” Goel, Sohail “Hector” Shaikh, and Naman “Neyo”. A couple of days prior to this, the team bid farewell to its coach Amit “Amit” Dubey. The sudden departure left fans upset, as the team had not only become a fan favorite but also shared a familial bond with the organization. Simultaneously, Blind Esports, the BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2023 champions, bid farewell to their own roster on the same day.

Finally, on 1st January 2024, Team SouL has announced the signing of Blind Esports former roster, comprising Mohammad “Manya” Raja, Nakul “NakuL” Sharma, Manpreet “Rony” Singh, Rudra “Spower” B, and Khush “Jokerr” Singh. In addition to these players, Team SouL has also signed the coach Mayavi and analyst Mayavi. This talented roster has made a name for itself in the BGMI scene over the last two years.

The team initially caught the spotlight by securing the fourth position in BMPS Season 1. Later, it proved itself as one of the best teams in India by clinching the coveted title in BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) 1.
