Counter-Strike 2 Players Find New Game-Breaking Bug on Overpass

A few months have passed since the initial release of Counter-Strike 2 in September 2023, with nearly a year passing since the shooter entered its closed beta phase back in March 2023. However, the player base continues to find game-breaking bugs that can easily disrupt competitive play and even render the game unplayable for players.

While Valve is typically quick to address and patch most of these bugs, a few manage to slip through the developers’ attention, persisting to haunt players in pubs.

A new game-breaking Overpass glitch has recently been developed by CS2 players, and it can get players stuck in a place with no way out.

Game-Breaking CS2 Overpass Stuck Glitch

So what’s the bug in question? And can it happen to you in your competitive games?

First, let’s try to understand how the bug occurs.

When trying to jump up the stairs in Bank, players can often find themselves getting stuck in place. No matter how vigorously you press your movement keys, attempt to jump, crouch, or maneuver around the spot, breaking free from this spot becomes impossible.

The aforementioned bug can be easily recreated in a competitive game of Overpass and players can unknowingly get stuck in the spot.

You can catch the bug in action below.

As we stand just a few days away from the commencement of the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2024, the CS2 community is urging Valve to address this issue at the earliest.

Godlike Esports’ New Coach Believes Indian Teams are Lagging Behind in Strategy

0

GodLike Esports, one of the most prominent esports organisations in India, has been teasing its new international Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) coach for the past few weeks. The team’s analyst Potter recently shed light on this mysterious figure, disclosing that the coach is not only a non-Indian but also a woman. More intriguingly, she brings a wealth of game knowledge that surpasses that of many Indian coaches.

GodLike Esports’ Coach Points to Strategy Gap Between Indian BGMI Teams and Their Global Counterparts

According to Potter, the coach has expressed concerns about the strategic landscape in the Indian BGMI esports. The coach pointed out a significant challenge faced by Indian teams – the issue of heal battle. In the live stream, Potter echoed her sentiments that the coach firmly believes Indian teams are lagging behind in strategy compared to their global counterparts.

What sets the new coach apart, according to Potter’s revelations, is her deep understanding of the game. Potter claimed that her knowledge surpasses that of many Indian coaches, marking a potential change in how GodLike Esports approaches their gameplay.

The coach stated that the reliance of Indian teams on heal battles is a simplistic and less strategic approach. Following this, Potter argued that with the current state of zone damage, teams can secure Chicken Dinners by engaging in heal battles, diminishing the need for intricate and innovative strategies.

Potter added that a lot of T1 teams raised their voices that the zone damage is very low, and teams are getting Chicken Dinners by doing heal battles. Potter stated that teams could adopt a straightforward strategy – securing a position early on, holding it until the fifth circle, and then engaging in heal battles with a stockpile of first aids. He argued that this would guarantee a team a prominent position on the leaderboard.

While this strategy might seem effective, the concern lies in its simplicity and lack of innovative strategy. Godlike Esports’ coach believed that if a lot of teams adopt the same approach, the game’s competitive landscape will become predictable and monotonous.

Mad Kings Drop Entire Dota 2 Roster After StingeR’s Mid-Game Ban

In less than a month following the introduction of Mad Kings’ new Dota 2 roster, the South American esports organization declared the decision to release their entire Dota 2 lineup.

The news comes after the recent ban of Steven “StingeR” Vargas in the middle of a match. For the uninitiated, the 27-year-old found himself getting banned mid-game in a series against Thunder Awaken in the South American closed qualifiers for Dreamleague Season 22.

It was later revealed that the ban had stemmed from StingeR sharing accounts with Mad Kings’ former carry player, David “Parker” Nicho Flores.

Following the incident, Mad Kings addressed the situation and officially severed ties with estar_backs through a Twitter announcement on January 18. The organization further emphasized that their decision was a direct response to a violation of Valve’s rules.

“We recognize and respect the rules established by Valve, which we accept and promote as an integral part of our organization,” Mad Kings said in a statement. “Due to these rules being broken, we have made the decision to end our collaboration with estar_backs.”

In the aftermath of the incident, Mad Kings confirmed that they’d be stepping away from competitive play. However, they further said that they will continue creating content and offering coverage for its supporters.
