Jett Can Survive Spike Explosions in Valorant’s New Map Abyss: Here Is How

0

Valorant players are always on the lookout for new strategies and tricks to gain an edge over their opponents. With the recent addition of the Abyss map in the 8.11 update, a new trick involving Jett’s abilities has been discovered that allows her to dodge spike explosions effectively. This article will walk you through how to execute this trick and why it can be a game-changer.

The Abyss map was introduced in Valorant’s 8.11 update, which was released on June 11. This new map brings unique challenges and opportunities for players to explore and master.

Currently, Abyss is available to all players giving everyone a chance to get familiar with its layout and mechanics. However, it will not be included in the competitive rotation for a few weeks to allow players to adapt.

Jett has a unique ability called Updraft. This ability allows her to propel herself into the air, gaining significant height. Players have discovered that this ability can be used strategically on the Abyss map to avoid dying from the spike explosion

If you want to try it out on your own, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • As the spike is about to explode, position Jett near the edge of the map.
  • Just before the spike goes off, jump off the side of the map. Normally, this would result in death for any other agent.
  • While in mid-air, use Jett’s Updraft ability to gain height and avoid the explosion radius.

This maneuver allows Jett to survive the spike explosion, giving her a significant advantage in clutch situations.

In scenarios where the spike is about to detonate, this trick can be the difference between winning and losing a round. It adds another layer of strategy to Jett’s gameplay, making her an even more versatile agent. Opponents may not expect Jett to survive the spike explosion, giving you the element of surprise in subsequent engagements.

Valorant Players Find Game-Breaking Exploits on New Map Abyss

0

Only a couple of days have passed since the release of Abyss, Valorant’s newest addition to its ever-expanding map pool, and fans have already managed to find multiple game-breaking exploits that can potentially be abused to get an unfair advantage on the Attacking side.

Due to the increased verticality and numerous sneaky corners, Abyss can be considered a somewhat Defender-sided map. However, if Riot doesn’t address these exploits before its addition to the competitive map pool, the balance could easily shift in favor of the Attacking side.

The exploit in question allows certain Agents, such as Phoenix and Yoru, to survive falls beneath the map that should otherwise be lethal. This is achieved by using their abilities—specifically, Phoenix’s Run It Back (X) and Yoru’s Gatecrash (E)—just before hitting the ground.

If done correctly, the Agents can survive the fall and move freely below the map, which should normally be impossible for all Agents in the game.

Now if the Attackers plant the Spike on the A-Site near the edge of the bridge connecting the two halves of the site, Agents exploiting this glitch can easily defend the Spike by shooting through the floor from below.

Needless to say, most Valorant fans aren’t happy with this glitch and are urging Riot Games to address this issue before adding Abyss to the competitive map rotation. For the uninitiated, Abyss will be added to the ranked map pool of the shooter with the upcoming Episode 9 update.

Epic Games Store Leak: Unannounced Titles Like FFXVI PC & FF IX Remake Surface!

Epic Games just released a new store monitoring platform, EpicDB, which leaked dozens of unannounced and unreleased titles on its website.

The price monitoring website is a third-party database that hit the internet on June 11, but suddenly turned up with listings of many unreleased titles, some even with code-names such as Final Fantasy XVI’s PC port, the FFIX Remake and some other titles, which we presume were unintentional.

Who found the EpicDB leak?

Well, the leak seems to have been first discovered by members of the Famiboards and Resetera forums, where users quickly scraped through the contents of the website to find listed, famed developers who had several unannounced titles linked to their names

So, when are Final Fantasy XVI and FFIX Remake launching?

Good question. Albeit the two most head-turning leaks were the Final Fantasy XVI PC port and the Final Fantasy IX Remake, some deliberate codenames were probably devised to avoid just the situation we are in right now. Namely “Skobeloff” and “Momo”, these words meant nothing initially at first glance, but eventually, when diving deep into the directories, the files had several file instances named “Final Fantasy XVI

Epic Games Store Leak

Even the “momo” directory had multiple items listed under the name “Tetra Master Starter Pack” and a bonus pre-order set which if you can recollect, “Thief’s Knives” are from the title Final Fantasy IX, which strongly hints at a pre-order bonus that’s planned for the FFIX Remake.

But wait, there’s more!

Yet another leak listed under “Saber Interactive” was noticed, consisting of the files for the Turok game. A classic dinosaur slasher cum shooter game had been in limbo for the longest amount of time since its last titular release in 2008.

Although resembling the Turok title, the game doesn’t seem to be a part of the Turok Trilogy bundle from last year. Instead, it appears to be a new game that stands apart from the franchise.

How did the EpicDB leak even occur?

To put things in perspective, EpicDB uses a system that is extremely analogous to another popular aggregator game store:  SteamDB. The system has data scraped from the Epic Games store for details, normalizing and compiling all the listings in a central repository. It’s unclear if EpicDB is using an exposed public API endpoint for its DB, but since the system can look at listed private products, we suspect there was some insider mistake that caused this.

We expect the temperatures in the rooms at Epic Games must be pretty high, considering they will be waking up to some angry emails about these leaks from the studios.

‘M0NESY’ Will Miss G2’s First BLAST Spring Final Match Against Team Spirit

G2 star Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, who’s undoubtedly one of the best AWPers in the competitive Counter-Strike 2 scene, will miss his team’s first game in the upcoming BLAST Spring Finals against Team Spirit as a result of his passport being delayed.

As per a recent HLTV report, m0NESY’s passport is currently delayed in transit and is now expected to arrive by mid-day on Thursday, which means that the 19-year-old will unfortunately have to skip G2’s debut match in the tournament against Team Spirit.

It goes without saying that m0NESY’s absence will be a significant blow to G2 in their opening game of the BLAST Spring Finals.

Coach Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas is expected to step in and replace the star AWPer, and the team’s lineup will include the following players:

  • Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač
  • Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
  • Rasmus ” HooXi” Nielsen (in-game leader)
  • Nemanja “nexa” Isaković
  • Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas (stand-in)

This Neon Buff is ‘Not Intended’ and Will Be Nerfed, Valorant Dev Confirms

0

The recently introduced Valorant patch 8.11 brought with it a number of important additions to the game including the new map, Abyss, alongside a few crucial changes to some of the Agents in the Valorant roster.

Agents that were under-picked in the current meta like Iso and Neon were hit with the hardest buffs in the patch, while the more common Agents like Clove and Raze received significant nerfs to their kits.

It’s safe to say that Neon was one of the biggest winners of the Valorant 8.11 update. The patch buffed up her kit by giving her two slides, increased accuracy while sliding, faster stamina regen, and a couple of other overall improvements, However, it seems that not all of the Neon buffs in patch 8.11 were intended by the dev team.

On June 12th, Sentinels’ player Zachary “zekken” Patrone shared a clip of him playing as Neon on Haven against Tyson “TenZ” Ngo. In the clip, zekken slides down A Tower and lands a precise mid-air headshot with a Phantom on TenZ at A Long.

Shortly after the clip was posted, Valorant’s Product Management Lead Coleman Palm responded to the Tweet, claiming that this buff to Neon’s mid-air accuracy was “not intended.”

“Just wanted to say we’re working on a fix for this right now,” the Riot dev said. “Aerial accuracy not intended.”

This increased mid-air accuracy shown in the clip is likely the result of Riot removing Neon’s weapon movement error when sliding, which means she is completely accurate even when sliding from higher elevations.

Luckily, Valorant players won’t have to face this issue in their games for long, as the developers behind the title have confirmed that they are already working on a fix.
For a detailed list of changes that the new update has introduced to Valorant, feel free to check out the Valorant 8.11 patch notes.

What Is the Potential Value of Team Spirit Star Donk?

Danil “donk” Kryshkovets is arguably the hottest prospect in the world of Counter-Strike and despite all the success, he is playing for a lesser-known team which indicates that he would likely jump ship to an organization where he can play with bigger names.

Looking at how G2 was quick to acquire the services of m0NESY, top CS2 teams will be looking to add donk to their team but taking him away from Spirit is not going to be simple given the staggering price tag that the Russian organization has set on his signature.

According to Team Spirit scout Overdrive, “donk is never for sale, never. Team Spirit has every structure he needs that no other superteam can offer him. His cost is around $5,000,000″.

While Team Spirit may have some of the best names in Counter-Strike playing for them, they lack the tag of a super team. Team Spirit scout Overdrive believes that they have every structure that he needs for donk to become the best version of him which at the moment none of the super teams can provide. Knowing this, an interested party might have to pay around $5 Million to acquire his services.

donk is considered among the best riflers in the world and given his age he was bound to have a staggering price tag but $5 Million is what entire CS2 teams go for which would make this the biggest sale in the history of the game if Team Spirit chooses to cash in for him.

IShowSpeed’s Ex-girlfriend Reveals a Surprising Fact About Their Relationship

IShowSpeed is one of the most popular content creators in modern times whose eccentric personality has attracted millions of viewers but little is known about his romantic endeavours.

Korean TikToker Amy Flam who Speed was supposedly in a relationship with but only for the content revealed recently that feelings were involved. Certain gestures from Speed had her believe that they weren’t out of the goodness of heart, rather he had feelings for her that weren’t acknowledged.

“Some words were thrown around between Speed and his team about maybe taking me to the Euros finals and maybe meeting me in July when I go to Florida, but it wasn’t a set deal,” she said. “It was more of a maybe.”

She further delved into the fact that when confronting Speed about this, he expressed mixed feelings which resonated with Flamy and the relationship went nowhere from there. They agreed to a few more dates but Flamy couldn’t tell if Speed asked for it specifically for content or if there was more to it.

At the time of writing this article, a new Fortnite collaboration is in the works with a launch that’s planned to go out very soon.

Epic games’ take on the battle royale genre – Fortnite has frequent and strategic crossovers with pop culture for a reason, which is to increase its fan base. Be it their in-game Marshmello concert or the recent “Fortnite Festival”, the game keeps bringing musicians to the game. Over the past few weeks, the community has gone haywire over the teasers that have been going out on the Don Toliver YouTube channel.

Fortnite has normalized the concept of collaborating with musicians in quite an interesting way. There are Fortnite Festivals that have started bringing one artist every season into the spotlight.

What is the next season’s collaboration and what is the Don Toliver collab?

Well, we already know that the next season of the game will be featuring Metallica with an in game concert. The team behind Fortnite has also brilliantly planned the distribution of IP within the game by emotes and songs for the Festivals with loads of ways for the players and the artists to get in on the fun too.

Also, we have been looking at the teasers for the upcoming collab, and based on the varied collaborations in the past, what can be expected from the Don Toliver x Fortnite Collab? Answering that, we are making educated speculations knowing that the entire collaboration is going to revolve around the Fortnite creative map.

Don Toliver x Fortnite

Fortnite Creative maps, or Creative game modes are custom game modes where you can use a wide variety of assets and gameplay, making it through to a walkthrough area where you can flex your Fortnite Skins. The teasers have very strongly teased a few bits of custom art making use of UnrealFN tech that allows for such freedom in these maps.

The game even has the map feeling like a motorcycle aesthetic stage, from a recent Don Toliver album, with a standard 8v8 gun game, with the map named “Hardstone”

Don Toliver x Fortnite release date

The Don Toliver x Fortnite collab has already seen quite a bit of teasers and drops on what to expect when the day comes but hasn’t hinted at any launch date for the map just yet. We can expect the update to go live somewhere around the 10th to 14th of June. The map could be online within a few hours once it meets its rumored launch day.

CS2 Community Expresses Mixed Reactions Over Cheating Issues

Cheating has been one of the most persistent issues in Counter-Strike for as long as one can remember and CSGO saw the problem rise to a level where players were forced to opt for 3rd party platforms to play the game.

With the release of CS2, fans hoped for an improved Anti-Cheat that could keep hackers at bay, something similar to Vanguard by Riot. However, not only did we not get an improved anti-cheat the cheating problem has gotten worse according to some fans.

Valve has continued to address the cheating issues but has yet to come up with something more permanent. The frustrations over cheaters ruining the game have led to fans thinking of going back to CSGO.

Cheating isn’t the only concern with CS2, the game is far from perfect and doesn’t have the same feeling of familiarity with a plethora that continues to plague the game to this day. While Valve keeps pushing updates, we can say for sure that CS2 is behind CSGO in terms of optimization across the whole game.

On the contrary, many fans believe that the game is fine as it is and while there are some rough times against cheaters occasionally if you can look past it the game is great.
