Moving forward, Spower will be representing Carnival Gaming in the upcoming BGMI tournaments. This move comes shortly after his departure from Team iQOO SouL and amidst much speculation and anticipation.

Carnival Gaming Signs Spower Ahead of BGMS Season 3

After weeks of rumors and a leak on Liquipedia, Carnival Gaming has confirmed that Spower will be joining its BGMI roster. This signing will potentially bolster their team’s performance and change the dynamics of the BGMI Esports scene ahead of the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 3. Notably, Carnival Gaming’s Akshat “AkshaT” Goel has also announced an hiatus from BGMI esports scene for an undefined time.

Spower’s inclusion in Carnival Gaming’s roster is expected to bring a new level of gameplay and strategy to the team. Known for his sharp reflexes and consistent performance, he has proven his mettle across various top-tier tournaments. His experience with prominent teams like 8bit, GodLike Esports, Blind Esports, and Team iQOO SouL has equipped him with a deep understanding of the competitive landscape.

In 2023, Spower’s career saw significant movement. He kicked off the year with Blind Esports but left in July to rejoin GodLike Esports. His return to GodLike was short-lived as he parted ways with them in October, rejoining Blind Esports for a brief period before joining with Team iQOO SouL in January 2024. Now, finally, he has joined Carnival Gaming.

During his tenure with Team iQOO SouL, Spower played a crucial role in the team’s success. Under his leadership, the team clinched victory at the Upthrust Esports India Rising 2024. They also secured runner-up positions in multiple prestigious tournaments, including the iQOO Pro Series 2024, ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: BGMI, Skyesports Champions Series 2024, and Skyesports Mobile Open 2024. The highlight of their journey was a commendable 4th place finish in the highly competitive BGIS 2024.

Olympic Esports Games to Take Place in Saudi Arabia: IOC

0

For the first-ever Olympic Esports Games, the National Olympic Committee of Saudi Arabia and the International Olympic Committee have confirmed their alliance.

The 2025 Olympic Esports Games will take place in Saudi Arabia for the next 12 years. The IOC and the Saudi Arabian NOC released a statement stating that work would commence on choosing a city and site for the first-ever Olympic Esports Games, but they did not disclose any information regarding the event. After the games are formally approved by the IOC Board, preparations will begin.

“We are very fortunate to be able to work with the Saudi NOC on the Olympic Esports Games, because it has great – if not unique – expertise in the field of esports with all its stakeholders. The Olympic Esports Games will greatly benefit from this experience,” said IOC President Thomas Bach.

This marks the beginning of something historic with the Olympic Games recognising competitive gaming as a sport. Having it included with the rest of the sports would only increase its mainstream acceptance in the world.

How To Double Rank Up in Valorant

Valorant is a highly competitive game, with players constantly looking to improve their skills and climb up in the ranking spectrum of the shooter.

In Valorant, your skill level is measured by your rank, with higher ranks indicating greater proficiency in the game. Valorant’s ranking system consists of eight tiers: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Immortal, and Radiant.

Except for Radiant, each tier is subdivided into three divisions, reflecting a player’s progression and competence within their respective rank.

How To Rank Up in Valorant

Ranking up in Valorant is pretty straightforward: you need to accumulate 100 Rank Rating (RR) within your current division to advance to the next tier. This translates to each rank tier comprising 300 RR across three divisions.

Players gain or lose elo based on the outcome of their games combined with their performance.

However, what many players may not realize is the existence of a hidden rating system that greatly influences your overall RR gain or loss: your MMR (Matchmaking Rating).

How To Double Rank Up in Valorant

If you’re looking to double rank up in Valorant, then you must know how the hidden MMR system works in the game.

But what exactly is a double rank-up?

Occasionally, Valorant players experience skipping a rank division when ranking up. For instance, a Gold 1 player may go straight to Gold 3 with a single competitive win. This happens during a ‘double rank up’, where the algorithm recognizes your skill level is significantly higher than your current rank.

Now, what exactly triggers a double rank-up in Valorant? And how can you consistently achieve this and swiftly rise through the ranks?

Double rank-up happens when your MMR is significantly higher than your visible Rank Rating. This is most common if you haven’t played for a while and recalibrate at a much lower rank than where you belong.

It’s also possible to double rank up frequently if you can put up consistent performances and win a lot of games in a row.

If you’re having trouble identifying your MMR, feel free to take a look at our guide on how to check your MMR in Valorant.

CS2 Hacks: How Overwatch is Fighting Back

The chink in the armor for the counter strike franchise ever since its first title has been cheating. Be it competitive matchmaking or in pro leagues, like the one odd instance when Optic India’s player Nikhil “Forsaken” Kumawat was caught cheating at a LAN in ZOWIE eXTREMSLAND 2018 Main Event in Shanghai – such instances have deeply ruined the experience for players in CS2.

This article aims to shed light on just that, now on how to cheat but a counteractive measure initiated by CS2, which they call “overwatch” and how effective it is.

What is Overwatch in CS2?

No, it is not a CS2 and Overwatch 2 game collab but a system to keep cheaters in check within CS2. Most recently, in April a significant update was pushed out, post which data miners found lines of code that seemed to have introduced Overwatch and some other enhancements to the VACNet anti-cheat system. What does this mean? Well, the patch notes indicate that Overwatch – a feature where community veterans review gameplay to decide if a player is cheating or not – will only be granted to trusted partners of members who have been evaluated. Though the specifics of this “evaluation” remain unclear, one thing is for certain.

CS2 Overwatch and the surge of bans

Over a week passed and no one had gotten access to overwatch, but very soon a large wave of VAC bans occurred and overwatch’s global block was shown to all of those who got banned – meaning this feature was being executed by Valve internally before launching to the community. This is an awkward situation because earlier, a player had to be reported by someone else to get added to the overwatch pool – where the gameplay if found suspicious could have itself declared as a cheating instance which would later slam the hammer on the cheaters, but now the evidence seems to suggest that the bans were being pushed out in real-time.

Gabe Follower’s investigation even revealed that the bans were pushed out to accounts that had very blatant cheats like aim-botting, bunnyhop abuse, firing rate abusers, and some other scripts. Certain types of “hidden” cheaters were not banned as wall hacks and radar hacks don’t really have blatant giveaways.

cs2 ban wave

But is Overwatch in CS2 “really” effective?

Do not worry, it doesn’t seem to be a pseudo entity because the initial waves of bans seem to be only the test phase, once the developers confirmed there were no false positives, the next ban wave was even more aggressive. Even though only premier mode players were banned, anecdotal evidence suggests that accounts that were banned had cheating instances that were in games even before the overwatch update, meaning they could either be or not be directly linked to the update.

Here is how to access Overwatch in CS2

As of the time being, Overwatch in CS2 isn’t available to all users and the requirements for someone to be in the program seem to be in the nascent stage. However, if history dictates the future the requirements should look somewhat like this:

  • Minimum of 300 hours played in Counter-Strike
  • At least 150 wins in competitive mode
  • Rank no lower than Gold Nova I
  • Minimal violations
  • No VAC bans

While the CS2 devs gather data to train what possibly could be a machine learning model with all kinds of gameplay, as soon as the model has enough data to gauge cheating instances from one-off lucky shots – it is game over for all the hackers.

In the meantime, keep grinding, refine your gameplay, and follow this space here at Talkesport to improve your rank in CS2!

This news comes right after the conclusion of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024, where the team finished at 4th position, and just before the highly anticipated BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 3.

Spower Parted Ways with Team iQOO SouL, Rumored to Join Carnival Gaming

Speculations about Spower’s departure from Team iQOO SouL began swirling soon after BGIS 2024. It was rumored that he will potentially move to Carnival Gaming. The leak was further fueled by a leak on Liquipedia’s BGMS Season 3 page. However, despite these rumors, Carnival Gaming has yet to officially confirm the signing of Spower.

Team iQOO SouL Parts Ways with Star Player Spower

Spower is a name renowned in the Indian BGMI community. He has been a part of several top-tier esports organizations. His journey began with 8bit, followed by stints at GodLike Esports and Blind Esports, before eventually joining Team iQOO SouL.

His return to GodLike was short-lived as he parted ways with them in October, rejoining Blind Esports for a brief period before finally settling with Team iQOO SouL in January 2024.

During his tenure with Team iQOO SouL, Spower played a crucial role in the team’s success. With his inclusion, the team clinched victory at the Upthrust Esports India Rising 2024. They also secured runner-up positions in multiple prestigious tournaments, including the iQOO Pro Series 2024, ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: BGMI, Skyesports Champions Series 2024, and Skyesports Mobile Open 2024. As Spower has parted ways with Team iQOO SouL, the BGMI community is speculating his next move. If the rumors hold true and he joins Carnival Gaming, it could mark a significant shift in the BGMI esports community.

On the other hand, Team iQOO SouL has already found a fifth player for the roster. In a previous livestream, the team’s former manager and S8UL Esports’ Content Creator, Siddhant “Sid” Joshi, has officially announced that a promising underdog player, SAUMAY, is set to join the roster of Team iQOO SouL.
