BLAST Premier 2024 to be Streamed on Kick

Up-and-coming streaming platform co-founded by former Twitch streamers has announced a non-exclusive streaming deal with CS2 tournament organizers BLAST for the rest of the 2024 season.

Earlier this year, KICK streamed the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 and this deal will see them broadcast one of the most popular CS2 tournament circuits besides the major. While BLAST was known to stream its tournaments on Twitch, YouTube, and its website, KICK has joined the party and will pull a few viewers from both major streaming platforms.

Akhil Sarin, Chief Marketing Officer of KICK, said “KICK is thrilled to partner with BLAST to bring world-class esports entertainment onto the platform.”

BLAST brought major changes to their CS2 tournament ecosystem earlier this year which is supposed to be implemented in the upcoming season and this might serve as a litmus test of KICK as to whether they are capable of broadcasting esports events given they have mostly focused around content creators for their platform.

Valorant Console Open Beta Kicks Off on PS5 & Xbox

0

With more than a month since the launch of Valorant Console’s closed beta, Riot Games has now initiated the open beta phase for the console version of the shooter.

The initial announcement of the console port of Valorant came as a pleasant surprise to the FPS gaming community on June 7, 2024, when Riot unveiled the start of Valorant Console closed beta. Since then, the title has received a number of important updates to both the PC and the console versions, and it seems that the devs are ready to further expand the player base by opening up the beta to a wider audience.

Moving forward, console gamers will be able to download and play Valorant on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. If the game is still unavailable in your region, you may have to wishlist the game and wait for its official launch.

The global release of Valorant Console is expected to take place by the end of 2024.

Valorant’s Open Beta will allow PlayStation and Xbox players to compete against each other but will maintain distinct matchmaking from PC players to protect competitive integrity. Progress, such as Battle Pass advancement, Agent unlocks, and purchased skins, will be shared across both console platforms and PC.

Liverpool Star Diogo Jota Set to Invest in a CS2 Team

According to one of his managers, Liverpool and Portugal star Diogo Jota is reportedly looking to invest in a CS2 team. Jota already owns Luna Galaxy and teams in major esports like Dota 2, EA FC, and Rocket League, and has set their eyes on CS2.

CS2 is a very lucrative area of investment for football players and Jota is set to become the latest one in the long list of footballers who have put their eyes on the game. Recently, he was seen attending the Esports World Cup that took place in Saudi Arabia, likely getting a feel of the business.

CS2 is fairly new but the esport dynamic for the game has hardly changed given it is still one of the more profitable esports. While CS2 teams don’t become profitable right off the bat and like any sports, there is no way of telling whether you will be able to make a winning side but Jota’s name will surely pull sponsors towards the team.

Being present at the EWC, we can assume that he is not interested in making a regional second-tier team, rather being a resident of the EU, he might pull out all the stops to field a tier-1 roster that gets to compete at the highest level of CS2.

Will There Be Women Players in EA FC 25?

0

Women’s international teams were introduced a few years ago and EA committed to women’s football further by introducing women’s club football teams. The game had certain restrictions like how men’s and women’s teams couldn’t play against each other but EA FC 24 changed that narrative with women’s player cards in FUT where they play alongside male players.

Women’s football isn’t what it was a few years ago. Since then, it has attracted tons of viewership, and along came investments and now it is multiple-fold bigger. EA FC looks to build on that and now they have Barcelona star Aitana Bonmati on the game’s cover.

For game fans looking for an answer, yes, EA FC 25 will have women’s squads. This move highlights the importance of women in the game and further emphasizes the role that they play in the sport.

EA FC 25, doubles down on women’s football and has introduced them in their “Rush” game mode which is just a renamed version of Volta and a new career mode for women’s teams of the clubs.

What Is FC IQ in EA FC 25?

0

Although AI has been the latest marketing buzzword only a few games do justice to that tag. Gameplaying AI has always been one of the most interesting applications of said technology and EA has always done their best to implement it with their football simulation titles and now with EA FC, they are back with something called FC IQ.

Before we write off FC IQ as another marketing buzzword, let us take our time to understand how this works and how its implementation affects the player AIs in the game. This article will discuss everything that FC IQ brings to the game.

In modern-day football, players do more than their position implies on paper. Evolving football tactics have become very demanding, especially for the players. Each position comes with a set of responsibilities and with the help of FC IQ, you can fine-tune what each position does for each player. For example, the position that offers the most versatility is that of a midfielder. For a proper center-mid, you can have the player drop back and help with the defense or go forward and join the attack. You can set the player to take a free role or play as a wide player.
