Faze Clan Kicks Out Falcons From IEM Cologne

FaZe Clan has eliminated Falcons from IEM Cologne and with this, karrigan and rain remain the only two players to have attended all the events at the cathedral of Counter-Strike since its inception. Falcons despite putting up a good fight, couldn’t do just enough to pass the FaZe Clan test and make it to the stage.

VETO

  • Falcons removed Inferno
  • FaZe removed Vertigo
  • Falcons picked Dust2
  • FaZe picked Ancient
  • Falcons removed Mirage
  • FaZe removed Anubis
  • Nuke was left over

Map 1: Dust 2; Pick: Falcons; Winner: FaZe Clan

FaZe Clan got off to a stunning start on their opponent map pick going 8-0 up before Falcons could get a round on board. Having gone down 8-0 initially, they managed to win the remaining rounds to close the lead before moving into the second half.

FaZe dropped the ball in the second half causing it to become very close to them, more than it should have been as Falcons managed to push the game to overtime upon which FaZe got back on the driving seat as Falcons only managed as singe round on OT as FaZe closed it out with a 16-13 score line. broky on the AWP was a driving force for FaZe, posting 24 kills at a rating of 1.40.

Map 2: Ancient; Pick: FaZe Clan; Winner: FaZe Clan

Falcons’s preparation on the CT side stopped FaZe from running all over them like they did on Dust 2, as the game was much closer than anyone imagined in the first half. Falcon’s defense at times proved to be too much for FaZe but despite tough resistance, they managed to win 7 rounds on the T side while Falcons only managed 5.

Falcons won the pistol round in the second half but FaZe quickly responded with a force buy conversion upon which it was all FaZe Clan who ran a two-minute mile that saw Falcons get eliminated from IEM Cologne. After a tough first half, ropz pulled his weight to get 20 kills at a 1.58 rating.

Genshin Impact 5.0

The banner leaks for Genshin Impact 5.0

Although there are hardly two days left for the event and banner reveals in the 5.0 live stream, leaks and official information seem to be pointing towards the most likely upcoming 5.0 banners in phase 1 and phase 2.

Drip Marketing in some recent posts has confirmed on Genshin Impact’s X account that Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina are on the 5.0 Banners. Mualani seems to be Hydro, Kinich is Dendro, and Kachina a Geo. Their rarities or weapons are some unknowns even as of now, but looking back at history based on their hyping schedules – we believe Mualani and Kinich will most probably by 5-Stars with Kachina being a 4-star.

Genshin Impact 5.0
Genshin Impact 5.0

And the buck doesn’t stop here! A popular and reliable leaker on Social Media – Dimbreath, has mentioned that Kazuha would be running alongside Mualani and Raiden Shogun would be running alongside Kinich, where Kazuha would be the 5-star Anemo Sword wielder & Raiden Shogun the 5-star electro polearm wielder.

All things due, if the leaks and the information hold their strength by the time the 5.0 live stream is online, here is how the 5.0 banner for Genshin Impact would look like:

  • Mualani – Phase 1
  • Kazuha – Phase 1
  • Kinich – Phase 2
  • Raiden Shogun – Phase 2
  • Kachina – Phase 1 or Phase 2

Again, we remind you time and again that these leaks – are just what the name suggests – speculative leaks with no confirmations – so hopefully we will see you all on the Genshin 5.0 Livestream when it goes up and in the meantime stay tuned to Talkesport for confirmed notes on who the next banners in Genshin Impact will be!

ohnePixel Enters CS2 Pro Scene with New Team

ohnePixel is set to launch a CS2 team with the Perfect World Shanghai Major as its first checkpoint. Being a popular figure in the CS community, he has the connections and the resources to make this happen despite lacking the experience of managing an esports team.

ohnePixel’s roster has been personally curated by him as he looks to take up the position of a coach and with little to no professional CS experience, it is very difficult to anticipate how this will go. His team doesn’t include any star players, rather it is a mix of talents from a wide geography.

Who are the players?

  • Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletniuk
  • Ali “hAdji” Haïnouss
  • Vladyslav “Kvem” Korol
  • Tal “meztal” Hahiashvili
  • Meytar “AMSALEM” Amsalem

Popular pug-star, Woro2k has been chosen as the AWPer and IGL to lead the project in the server. He will be anchored by the highly experienced hAdji, along with 3 talents who are yet to show what they can do in tier 1.

Having 3 players from the Middle East, the roster’s debut will take place in the Middle East RMR Open Qualifier, which kicks off on August 21. Winning here would see them get a chance to play in the closed qualifiers and winning there would book a spot in the Major.

How To Get Deadlock Alpha Playtest Invites & Access To Valve’s New Hero Shooter

0

Over the past few weeks, Deadlock has created waves of excitement within the gaming community, with fans from around the globe eagerly looking to secure an invite to the game’s closed alpha playtest and get in on the action firsthand.

For the uninitiated, Valve’s upcoming title is a competitive hero shooter that blends the fast-paced action of Overwatch 2 with strategic elements of MOBA games like DOTA 2. This fusion creates a unique gameplay experience that stands apart from other titles, and with its innovative approach, Deadlock is certainly shaping up to be one of the most anticipated games on the horizon.

Due to Deadlock being in its extremely early testing phase as of yet, Valve has refrained from making any official announcements about its new title. For the same reason, there’s no open beta for Deadlock that players can actively participate in.

However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t play Deadlock right now. Despite the game not being announced publicly at all, the closed alpha playtest of Deadlock has already reached a concurrent player count of over 16,000.

So how do you get access to the Deadlock alpha playtest? And how do you secure an invite? In this article, we take a look at everything you need to know about the Deadlock alpha playtest and its invite system.

How To Get Invited To Deadlock Alpha Playtest?

As mentioned earlier, Deadlock is still in its extremely early stages of alpha testing, which is why securing an invite to the game might not be the easiest thing to do.

Similar to Valve’s other popular titles like Counter-Strike 2 and DOTA 2, the developers are gradually sending out waves of invitations to eager players to participate in the closed alpha test of Deadlock.

So how exactly do you get a Deadlock invite?

At the time of writing, the only way to get a Deadlock invite is to get recommended by one of your friends who already owns Deadlock in their Steam library. If someone in your Steam friends list has access to the Deadlock alpha, they can recommend you to Valve for an invitation.

However, do note that if you don’t have Deadlock in your Steam library, you won’t be able to see whether any of your friends are playing the game or even if they own it.

How To Invite Your Friends To the Deadlock Playtest?

Deadlock Alpha Playtest

If you’re lucky enough to already be a part of the ongoing Deadlock playtest, then you can proceed to invite your friends and enjoy the game together as a team.

To invite your friends to the Deadlock playtest, simply launch the game, head to the main menu, and on the bottom-right-hand side, click on the “Invite your Friends” button. Once done, select the friends that you want to invite, and they’ll likely receive the invites within 24-48 hours.

If you haven’t secured an invite to the Deadlock Alpha yet, there’s no need to worry. The game has been in alpha testing for several months, and it’s likely approaching its beta phase, which is expected to be open to the public. Remember to follow the official social media handles of Valve and keep your eyes peeled for any announcements regarding the open beta for Deadlock.

IEM Cologne 2024: Vitality Outplays FaZe Clan

Vitality has taken down FaZe Clan to book a spot in the Lanxess Arena while FaZe gets pushed down to the lower bracket where they will face Falcons for a chance to make it to the stage. Vitality has managed to overcome their recent struggles as they walk into the arena as heavy favorite.

Veto

  • FaZe removed Vertigo
  • Vitality removed Ancient
  • FaZe picked Inferno
  • Vitality picked Dust2
  • FaZe removed Mirage
  • Vitality removed Nuke
  • Anubis was left over

Map 1: Inferno; Pick: FaZe Clan; Winner: FaZe Clan

FaZe’s pistol round victory to open up the map quickly succumbed to a force buy conversion from Vitality but FaZe was quick to return the favor, winning the following rounds. After that, FaZe went on to put together a streak of 7 rounds which closed the first half of the map with a 9-3 score line.

FaZe walked into the second half of the game with a massive lead and despite Vitality’s best efforts, FaZe was able to close out the map. ropz, who has been struggling to maintain his form lately was the force to be reckoned with for Vitality, posting 19 frags with an IR of 1.51.

Map 2: Dust 2; Pick: Vitality; Winner: Vitality

Vitality stunningly began their map pick, after the beating they took on Inferno. ZyWoo managed to hit FaZe players crossing mid on almost every round, doing significant damage that put FaZe on the backfoot right from the get-go. FaZe couldn’t post a string of rounds up until the very end of the half when they managed 4 compared to Vitality’s 8.

FaZe managed to level the massive deficit of rounds and push the game to OT but failed to win a single round beyond that which caused Vitality to close the game after a rather hard-fought victory. Vitality had flameZ and ZyWoo performing at their best level and despite FaZe players putting up a show, they failed to close the game in Dust 2.

Map 3: Anubis; Pick: Decider: Winner: Vitality

FaZe started Anubis with a swift pistol round win which got Vitality to reply with a swift force buy conversion. FaZe and Vitality traded rounds for the better part of the first half as no team was able to post a significant lead by the end of the half which concluded with a leveled scoreline.

The second half started with FaZe building a minor lead before Vitality put a stop to their shenanigans. Vitality’s slow T side was able to systematically break apart FaZe Clan’s defense as, despite their best efforts and cutting it close on several rounds, they fell to the better side. Spinx and flameZ, the Israeli duo took charge of the map as instrumental players for Vitality who helped push the map over the line.
