Valorant 9.11 Neon Nerfs Explained: Massive Changes

0

The dreaded day for Neon mains has come, and Riot Games has finally revealed the nerfs to the Duelist in a recent announcement.

As expected, Valorant patch 9.11 is hitting Neon with some drastic nerfs, reducing her overall viability in pubs and pro play alike.

The changes to Neon are aimed at curbing her dominance in the current meta of the shooter. For the uninitiated, Neon has been a top pick across all ranks of the game since her initial buffs in patch 8.11.

But what exactly about Neon is getting changed in the upcoming update? Let’s find out.

Valorant 9.11 Brings Massive Neon Nerfs

neon valorant

The nerfs to Neon in Valorant 9.11 are focused on her slide and ultimate ability.

As confirmed by the devs, Neon will no longer be fully accurate while sliding. Additionally, the number of slides available to her has been reduced from 2 to 1.

“We want ability usage to feel intentional, but we found that Neon having two slides allows her to engage in combat, and have a get out of jail free card,” Riot dev Dan ‘Penguin’ Hardison said in a statement. “We’ll be removing the full accuracy buff during the slide, now it will be more similar to the accuracy you have when crouching and moving.”

But that isn’t all, as Riot is also significantly tuning down her ultimate ability by reducing its timer and increasing the number of ult points required to pop it.

“We’ll also be making the timing tighter on the Ultimate so that it’s more important that you have a plan for how you would use it,” Hardison continued. “And also, so that opponents have more counter-play opportunities to bait it out or wait it out.”

With that being said, here are all the Neon nerfs that you can expect in the Valorant 9.11 update:

  • Slide count reduced from 2 > 1
  • Slides will no longer be fully accurate.
  • Tighter Ultimate timing.
  • Ultimate Cost increased to 8 Ult Points

Riot Games Announces New League of Legends TCG, Project K

Riot Games, the devs behind League of Legends, has recently confirmed an upcoming Trading Card Game based on the popular MOBA.

Project K is set to be a physical TCG “for everyone who loves League’s characters and settings, TCGs, collecting, and connecting with friends across the table,” an announcement from the official Riot Games X handle reads.

The Game, set to debut in early 2025, will have its initial launch taking place in China. But fans won’t have to wait that long for a sneak peek, as they can get an exclusive first look at Project K during the TFT Macao Open.

This appears to be the same League of Legends TCG that Riot Games had announced a few months ago on their Chinese social media under the title ‘Rune Battlegrounds’. Initially, it was introduced as a China-exclusive title.

Fortunately, fans in the West will also get the chance to play the game, as Riot has confirmed they are actively searching for a publishing partner for the U.S. and other regions.

Dave Guskin, the Game Director of Project K, confirmed that it won’t just be a physical version of Legends of Runeterra, but will inherit some “champion design philosophies” from the digital card game.

An exact release date for Project K hasn’t been provided by Riot at the time of writing.

Top 5 Operator Skins in Valorant

The Operator is the priciest weapon that you can purchase in Valorant, and for good reason. In the right hands, this weapon can single-handedly turn the tides of a game and win your team some rounds that should otherwise be unwinnable.

The Operator excels in long-range combat, but its one-shot potential makes it useful at all ranges regardless. In fact, it is the only Valorant weapon (excluding Agent abilities) that is capable of taking down fully armored opponents with a single body shot.

For these reasons, it’s crucial for Valorant players to learn and master the Operator if they’re looking to climb the ranking spectrum of the competitive shooter.

If you’re looking to practice and improve your Operator skills in Valorant, it might be a good idea to buy yourself an Op skin while you’re at it.

The Best Operator Skins in Valorant

Being one of the most popular guns in Valorant, the Operator has some of the finest skins in the entire game. While the Operator doesn’t have any limited-time skins like the Phantom, Vandal, or even the Sheriff, there are still numerous options available for players if they’re in the market for an Operator skin in Valorant.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the Op skins in Valorant, don’t worry. We have carefully curated a list of the top 5 Operator skins in Valorant that you can get from the in-game store.

Fix Marvel Rivals Crashing on PC: Causes and Solutions

0

The eagerly awaited Marvel Rivals has thrilled fans with its action-packed gameplay and vibrant visuals, but its PC release has not been without hiccups. Players are encountering a PC crashing error that disrupts their gaming experience. Here, we explore the potential reasons behind this issue and provide actionable solutions to get you back in the game.

Possible Reasons for the Marvel Rivals Crashing Error

Crashes in a newly released game are not uncommon, particularly with live-service multiplayer titles. For Marvel Rivals, the issue might be tied to the following:

  • Launch-Day Instability: As with many new games, minor bugs and instabilities often surface in the initial weeks of release.
  • Corrupted Files: Network interruptions during the game installation or updates may result in damaged game files.
  • Outdated Drivers: Running the game with obsolete graphics drivers is a common cause of performance issues.

Fixes to Resolve Marvel Rivals PC Crashing Error

If you are encountering this error, consider these solutions:

  1. Restart Your Computer The simplest solution is often the most effective. A quick reboot can clear temporary system issues and might resolve the crashing problem.
  2. Update Graphics Drivers Modern games like Marvel Rivals demand high-performance GPUs. Ensure your drivers are current. For Nvidia users, use the Nvidia Shield app; for AMD users, the Radeon software provides updates. This step can often eliminate compatibility issues.
  3. Verify Game Files If corrupted files are causing the error, verify your installation. Steam users can right-click the game in their library, select “Properties,” and navigate to “Verify integrity of game files.” This will replace any damaged files with fresh copies.

For more details about the game and potential updates, visit the Marvel Rivals page.

What If the Fixes Don’t Work?

If none of these fixes resolve the issue, the problem might be server-side. In such cases, it is best to wait for the developers to deploy a hotfix. Alternatively, contact the game’s support team for specialized assistance.

Jamie Carragher Hero SBC: Leaked Stats and Costs for EA FC 25

0

EA FC 25 is gearing up for another milestone with the leak of the Jamie Carragher Hero SBC, as revealed by FUT Sheriff. This special On This Day SBC celebrates iconic performances by football legends, marking a significant addition to the Ultimate Team mode. The feature commemorates historic showcases by offering themed Squad Building Challenges (SBCs), enhancing engagement in EA’s latest football simulation title.

What We Know About Jamie Carragher’s On This Day Hero SBC

What will the EA FC 25 Jamie Carragher On This Day Hero SBC item look like?

The former Liverpool stalwart, renowned for his defensive prowess and leadership, is poised to receive a special Hero SBC item in EA FC 25. While his base card currently underperforms in the meta, this iteration promises a substantial boost, particularly in pace—a crucial attribute in modern gameplay. The leaked version is rumored to have the following preliminary stats:

  • Pace: 80
  • Defending: 86
  • Physicality: 83
  • Passing: 73
  • Dribbling: 72
  • Shooting: 55

Additionally, Carragher’s card may include the Aerial+ PlayStyle, a valuable trait for set-piece situations, further bolstering its utility on the virtual pitch.

How much will the EA FC 25 Jamie Carragher On This Day Hero SBC cost?

The 88-rated Prime Origin Hero version of the Liverpool legend is amazing in-game and only costs around 70,000 coins in EA FC 25‘s current transfer market. If his leaked SBC item turns out to be worse in terms of stats, a reasonable price for it would be around 50,000 coins at best.

Based on leaks, the cost of completing this SBC could hover around 50,000 coins, considering his Prime Origin Hero version—an 88-rated card—trades at approximately 70,000 coins. Players should weigh the utility of this card, given its anticipated stats boost but lower overall rating compared to the Prime Origin item. Strategic planners in Ultimate Team should monitor updates to optimize investments effectively.

The On This Day SBC concept debuted this year in Ultimate Team, adding a dynamic layer of engagement by tying in football’s rich history with in-game content. Jamie Carragher’s addition follows the recently leaked Gianluigi Buffon SBC, showcasing EA’s commitment to honoring legends across different eras.

  • FaZe removed Nuke
  • MOUZ removed Anubis
  • MOUZ removed Ancient
  • MOUZ removed Dust2
  • FaZe removed Mirage
  • Inferno was left over

Map 1: Inferno; Winner: FaZe; Score: 13:10

Upon leveling, they went on to post a string of rounds putting MOUZ on the backfoot which they couldn’t recover from in the first half. Having dominated on the T side, FaZe walked into the second half with an 8-4 cushion.

MOUZ put more resistance to FaZe on their T side where a smooth pistol round win helped close the gap between the two teams. MOUZ managed to 5 rounds early on in the half but FaZe were quick to adapt before things got out of hand. broky and frozeN led by example as MOUZ managed only one more round before FaZe shut them down, winning Inferno with a 13-10 scoreline.

With all the expectations, MOUZ has no room for error as a single loss would translate to their elimination from the Major. On the contrary, FaZe was not expected to secure a win over MOUZ but having done so, they can potentially book their playoff spot with a win tomorrow.

G2 Wins Against 3DMAX in Shanghai Major Elimination Stage

G2 has secured their second win of the elimination stage beating 3DMax with ease after losing to them earlier in the RMR. G2’s individuals kicked off their campaign with a loss but warmed up as the event progressed and now they are just a win away from securing a spot at the next stage of the Shanghai Major.

  • 3DMAX removed Mirage
  • 3DMAX removed Dust2
  • G2 removed Vertigo
  • G2 removed Inferno
  • G2 removed Anubis
  • 3DMAX removed Nuke
  • Ancient was left over

Map 1: Anceint; Winner: G2; Score: 13-8

Upon opening the pistol round with a win, 3DMAX gave their first round away against an anti-eco. The first half put up a brawl between two sides that saw both teams trading rounds before the French side could edge in a narrow lead as the half closed 7-5 favoring 3DMAX.

G2 came into their own in the second half where Snax went crazy to call an A play for every single round. Through executes or contact plays, G2 bullied the A site as they went on to win 8 rounds losing only one in the process. The individuals from G2 delivered when it mattered resulting in them going 2-1 up in the scoreboard.

G2 will need one more win to book a spot in the Major while 3DMAX sits with a 1-2 scoreline, which means every game moving forward will be a must-win and pressure couldn’t be any higher.

Team Spirit Secures Victory Against NAVI

The number-one-ranked team on HLTV has just been picked apart by Team Spirit who looked shaky leading upto this match. The clash of the two juggernauts of CIS, resulted in a complete domination of NAVI as the defending champions suffered an embarrassing defeat pulling them 1-2 down in the table.

VETO

  • Spirit removed Inferno
  • Spirit removed Dust2
  • Natus Vincere removed Vertigo
  • Natus Vincere removed Anubis
  • Natus Vincere removed Ancient
  • Spirit removed Nuke
  • Mirage was left over

Map 1: Mirage; Winner: Team Spirit; Score: 13:2

Spirit got off to the strongest start against the most unlikely opponent. donk walked in with a hot hand and nothing could stand in his way as Team Spirit secured 10 rounds in the first half alone. NAVI somehow scrapped two rounds in the first half but it wasn’t enough to hide their embarrassing performance.

After a 10-2 half, there was no room for a comeback, and pistol round loss sealed the deal for NAVI. The defending champions did not get a chance to play the game, let alone mount a comeback which begs the question of whether they can make it to the next stage of the Major.

This Team Spirit victory should be attributed to a poor performance of NAVI and after yesterday’s loss to MIBR, NAVI needs to win all their remaining games in order to make it through.

Team Spirit having secured their second win of the series, they are just another victory away from qualification.
