Top 5 Phantom Skins in Valorant

It’s a good time to be a Phantom main in Valorant. With the recent buffs to the Phantom in Valorant patch 9.10, Riot Games has improved its damage falloff at longer ranges, making it a solid competitor to the Vandal in pubs and professional play alike.

For the same reason, it’s a crucial time for players to get accustomed to the Phantom and learn the weapon’s spray control if they’re looking to climb the competitive ladder of the shooter.

If you’re looking to master the Phantom in Valorant, you’ll quickly notice that it boasts some of the most stunning skins in the game. Beyond the exclusive limited-time skins like the Champions 2022 variant, the Phantom offers a bunch of other eye-catching skins that might pop up in your Valorant store if you’re lucky.

In this article, we take a look at the best Phantom skins that Valorant has to offer. We’ve carefully curated a list of the top five Phantom skins that you can find in Valorant, including a few skins that can’t be obtained anymore by normal means.

Top 5 Phantom Skins in Valorant

Without further ado, let’s check out the top five Phantom skins in Valorant:

Reaver

Reaver phantom

The Reaver Phantom was released as part of the Reaver 2.0 bundle in August 2022 with the game’s patch 5.03 update. Priced at 1,775 VP when bought individually, the Reaver Phantom is one of the best skins you can get in Valorant without breaking the bank.

Champions 2022 Phantom

Champions 2022 Phantom

The Champions 2022 Phantom is a limited-time skin that was available to purchase exclusively between August 23rd and September 21st, 2022. While the default variant of this skin might not seem particularly striking at first, it evolves with every five kills, gradually transforming into a vivid red design which is nicely complemented by the glowing Champions’ aura that triggers when you’re the top fragger in a server.

Spectrum

Spectrum Phantom

You can’t check out a list of the best Phantom skins and not expect to see the Spectrum Phantom in it. This iconic Phantom skin comes with a hefty price tag of 2,675 VP. Thankfully though, it’s not a limited-time skin, so with a bit of luck, you might find it available in your Valorant store.

Mystbloom

Mystbloom phantom

Despite being one of the relatively newer additions to the Valorant arsenal, the Mystbloom has found itself being one of the most sought-after skins in the game. It’s part of the Mystbloom bundle that took the Valorant community by storm upon its release, thanks to its unique pink design and distinctive sound effects.

Radiant Entertainment System

Radiant Entertainment System phantom

If you’ve ever used the Radiant Entertainment System guns in Valorant, then you probably saw this one coming. Not only is the arcade-themed Phantom a nostalgia trip, but it also offers incredible value, effectively giving you three skins in one (albeit at a steep price tag). In fact, each variant of the Radiant Entertainment System Phantom completely transforms its appearance, sound effects, and inspect animations when you switch between them, making it a solid choice for the best Phantom skin in Valorant.

This concludes our list of the top five Phantom skins in Valorant. At the end of the day, your choice of Phantom skins should be based on your personal preferences, which is why it’s always a good idea to thoroughly check these skins out for yourself before opting to buy one of them.

G2 Wins Its First Game in Shanghai Major Elimination Stage

G2 demolished BIG to win their first game of the Perfect World Shanghai Major. Many questioned their individuals after the beating they took from MongolZ earlier today but a convincing win against BIG has answered most concerns.

VETO

  • BIG removed Inferno
  • BIG removed Nuke
  • G2 removed Ancient
  • G2 removed Vertigo
  • G2 removed Dust2
  • BIG removed Anubis
  • Mirage was left over

Map 1: Mirage; Winner: G2; Score: 13-5

Starting on the T side, G2 got hard stopped by BIG leading them to go 0-3 down before they could get back on the board. Their first round came from an anti-eco in the fourth round which led them to go on a tear, winning all the remaining rounds in the half going 9-3 up as BIG failed to find any solutions in the first half.

The second half opened with BIG securing the pistol with a B execute but G2 took back control as soon as the guns came out. BIG failed to convert a single gun round as G2 steamrolled the German side to secure a dominant 13-5 win.

After their initial loss, G2 has recovered and now they need two more wins to make it to the next stage. m0NESY and NiKo have announced their arrival in Shanghai and with both of them in such form, it is hard to imagine G2 not qualifying for the next stage.

BIG losing two games straight will have no room for error as all the matches they play moving forward count as a must-win game. Despite boasting a strong form coming into the elimination, they find themselves in a bit of a hole, and digging themselves up is the only way out.

The Mongolz Stuns Mousesports in Shanghai Major Elimination Stage

Mongolz has pulled off their second upset of the day beating heavy-hitters Mousesports in the 1-0 match ups and now they find themselves a win away from making it to the next stage of the tournament.

VETO

  • The MongolZ removed Vertigo
  • The MongolZ removed Nuke
  • MOUZ removed Anubis
  • MOUZ removed Ancient
  • MOUZ removed Dust2
  • The MongolZ removed Inferno
  • Mirage was left over

Map 1: Mirage; Winner: Mongolz; Score: 13

MOUZ got off to a 4-0 start as Mongolz T side couldn’t find a solution early on in the game. A pace change from the Asian side in the 5th round saw them post the first round on the board which eventually led them to a string of a few rounds as the half concluded 5-7 favoring Mongolz.

While MongolZ managed to win the pistol round and go 10-5 up off the back of it, Mouz responded with a string of rounds of their own to reach the map point before them. With backs against the wall, Mongolz won the remaining two rounds and pushed the game to overtime.

MongolZ carried their hot hands into overtime as MOUZ couldn’t find its footing. Having managed only a single round, MOUZ got dominated as they had no answer to whatever the Asian side threw at them. With a 16-13 scoreline, MongolZ is just a win away from qualifying for the next stage.

Vitality Outlasts Furia in Intense Overtime Clash

Vitality has secured their second win of the elimination stage after taking down a tricky and challenging Furia who threatened to win it all but fell to the brilliance of ZyWoo and co. in overtime.

VETO

  • FURIA removed Nuke
  • FURIA removed Anubis
  • Vitality removed Ancient
  • Vitality removed Dust2
  • Vitality removed Vertigo
  • FURIA removed Inferno
  • Mirage was left over

Map 1: Mirage; Winner: Vitality; Score: 16:13

A strong start for Vitality collapsed on the first gun round with a fast-paced Furia offense running all over them. Despite going 3-0 up, Vitality let a few rounds slip as Furia built a solid lead which eventually shaped into an 8-4 half.

A second pistol conversion from Vitality enabled them to cut the lead short but Furia still stood their ground to reach map point before Vitality left them in need of a comeback. Vitality was able to stop Furia right on the track to force the game to overtime by the end.

Furia’s supreme form came crashing down in overtime as Vitality moved into a higher gear. Having managed a single round, Furia looks like a respectable defeat against a potential Major champion.

Furia’s win against Spirit gave them some room for error which just went up in smoke but a performance like this against Vitality would definitely infuse confidence in themselves as it can’t be any harder than this moving forward in the Major.

Vitality on the other hand has secured their second win of the day which puts them another win away from making it into the next stage.

FaZe Clan Outlasts Wildcards

FaZe Clan opened their Perfect World Shanghai Major campaign with an uncomfortably close win against underdogs Wildcards. Despite getting some head-turning results on their road to the elimination stage, FaZe Clan became too much for Wildcards to handle as they lost with a respectable scoreline.

VETO

  • Wildcard removed Mirage
  • Wildcard removed Anubis
  • FaZe Clan removed Vertigo
  • FaZe Clan removed Inferno
  • FaZe Clan removed Dust2
  • Wildcard removed Nuke
  • Ancient was left over

Map 1: Ancient; Winner: FaZe Clan; Score: 13:10

Wildcard got off to a strong start as FaZe failed to find any footing in the game early on but as we progressed, they managed to rope in a few. Wildcard’s offense was very good in catching FaZe off-guard on more than one occasion and combined with stanislaw’s calling, it looked like they were running away with the game.

The second round opened up with FaZe winning the pistol and thereby shifting the momentum which was primarily going the way of WildCards. The early rounds saw FaZe build a lead putting the North Americans on the backfoot which they never recovered from. FaZe’s exceptional talent combined with experience helped them recover a game that easily could have gone the other way.

FaZe eventually won the map 13:10 which was too close given the Wildcards core has little to no experience in tournaments of this stature, while FaZe are titans who always bring their A game on LAN.

This win would lessen the burn of qualification while Wildcard will now compete with a 0-1 scoreline and something tells us, they enjoy the pressure.

Furia Shocks Team Spirit

Furia having managed to qualify for the elimination stage by the skin of their teeth had taken down Team Spirit in a shocking upset on the first day of the Perfect World Shanghai Major. Not only did they beat one of the best teams in the world, they did it most dominantly.

VETO

  • FURIA removed Ancient
  • FURIA removed Anubis
  • Spirit removed Inferno
  • Spirit removed Vertigo
  • Spirit removed Mirage
  • FURIA removed Nuke
  • Dust2 was left over

Map 1: Dust 2; Winner: Furia; Score: 13:6

An unexpected start for Team Spirit in the first half of the map saw Furia go 8-4 up. chelo and KSCERATO picked Spirit apart piece by piece and the defense led by donk found no solution to the fast-paced offense brought to the game by the Brazilians.

While Spirit’s past performances would make it difficult for anyone to write them off at this stage, their performance today did not reflect their Valve ranking. An equally dominant defense put the lights out for Team Spirit in the opening match as they lost to Furia with an embarrassing 13:6 scoreline.

Spirit has enough time and space to recover from this loss but this will infuse Furia with a lot of confidence moving forward in the Major. Despite being out of shape, Furia is one of the more experienced rosters and crowded LANs can bring the best out of them.

The MongolZ Upsets G2 in Shanghai Major

The Mongolz has taken down the number one team in the world in G2 to open up their Perfect World Shanghai major elimination stage campaign beating expectations.

VETO

  • The MongolZ removed Vertigo
  • The MongolZ removed Dust2
  • G2 removed Ancient
  • G2 removed Mirage
  • G2 removed Anubis
  • The MongolZ removed Nuke
  • Inferno was left over

Map 1: Inferno; Winner: The MongolZ; Score: 13:10

G2 opened up the match with a pistol round win and imminently lost the following round to a force buy. The MongolZ used this opportunity to build a lead as G2 found themselves in a deficit which they never recovered from. The MongolZ T-side remained methodical and stuck to the book which was enough to close the first half with a 4-8 scoreline.

Disaster followed as The MongolZ shut out G2 in the second pistol round. This caused a massive blow to their comeback expectations as they continued with the map from a significant deficit. G2 managed to win a few rounds, one where Snax clutched a 1v3 but all this went in vain as The MongolZ shut them in the 23 round, winning the game with a 13:10 scoreline.

This result ensures neither qualification nor elimination, G2 will now start their campaign which reduces their room for error while MongolZ has a cushion moving forward.

CS2 Shanghai Major Elimination Stage Pick’Em Predictions: Another Step Toward Diamond Coin

We have reached the elimination stage of the Perfect World Shanghai Major as our quest for getting the best out of the Pick’Em challenge continues. Following unexpected results at the opening stage, our recommendations did not yield the best results, however, now with more data with us, our picks for the next stage will be more informed ones.

Elimination Stage 3-0 Advanced Predictions

Vitality: Having struggled in recent events due to the lack of star rifler in meizi, Vitality still remains one of the strongest contenders for the major. ZyWoo on his day is very capable of taking down even the best of the best and with a stellar supporting cast around him, a 3-0 could be their easiest accomplishment at the Major.

NAVI: Coming into the Major as the best team in the world, NAVI is a heavy favorite to go all the way. It always took other teams at their best to take NAVI down and every recent tournament saw them make deep runs effortlessly. Their 3-0 is challenged heavily by G2, who can make a similar run themselves if they are not victim to their occasional slip-ups.

CS2 Shanghai Major Elimination Stage Pick’Em Predictions

Elimination Stage 3:1, 3:2 Advanced Predictions

  • G2
  • FaZe Clan
  • Team Spirit
  • MOUZ
  • Liquid
  • Heroic

Elimination Stage 0-3 Eliminated Predictions

GamerLegion: Arguably the weakest side coming into this stage of the major. Without any notable tier-one experience, they went through a relatively easier RMR compared to others at this stage of the major. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that they will find themselves with teams out of their league in the Major and an opening game against Vitality might get them off to the worst possible start to their campaign.

WildCards: Once again, WildCards find themselves in our 0-3 pick having proved us wrong in the previous stage. As good as they have been leading upto the tournament, they will face opponents that these players have not faced as a team which sparks a lot of question marks. The difference between them and the opposition will increase by a big margin and the Cinderella story seems unlikely.

Goes without saying that we encourage making changes to our recommendations based on your analysis and given how to Opening Stage went upsets are more frequent than we might assume.
