Gentle Mates Head Coach to Miss Remainder of CS2 PGL Masters Bucharest 2025

The head coach of the Gentle Mates Counter-Strike 2 roster will be unable to attend the remainder of PGL Masters Bucharest 2025.

According to an X post made on the official Gentle Mates handle on October 28th, Eloy “deLonge” Suárez will be missing out on the rest of the CS2 event due to “personal reasons.”

“He’s had a big impact on the team and our journey so far,” the org said in a statement. “He has our full support, and we remain fully focused on the rest of the competition.”

At the time of writing, the PGL Masters Bucharest is in full swing. Gentle Mates have already found themselves on the brink of elimination twice, but managed to pull through with back-to-back wins over Ninjas in Pyjamas and BetBoom. They now stand just one victory away from securing a spot in the playoffs.

The organization has yet to confirm whether assistant coach Angel “repk3ys” Navarro will step in to fill the void left by deLonge for the remainder of the tournament.

Losing their head coach is undoubtedly a significant setback for Gentle Mates, but fans will be eager to see how the team adapts and performs in the matches ahead.

Valorant Nanomight Collection Release Date

Liquid Goes Past FlyQuest to Reach PGL Bucharest 2025 Playoffs

Team Liquid is through to the playoffs of PGL Bucharest, having secured a much-needed 3rd win of the groups over a difficult FlyQuest side. EliGE’s addition to the team has started to pay off the dividends with Team Liquid pulling off an impressive comeback and smooth second map.

VETO

  • Liquid removed Overpass
  • FlyQuest removed Nuke
  • Liquid picked Mirage
  • FlyQuest picked Train
  • FlyQuest removed Ancient
  • Liquid removed Dust2
  • Inferno was left over

Map 1: Mirage; Pick: Liquid; Winner: Liquid

2-0 start for the Australian side, put Liquid on a deficit before the latter won their first gun round. FlyQuest bulldozed Liquid in the first half, and their defense proved to be too strong for Liquid to break through. Winning 5 rounds in a row, FlyQuest concluded the half with a dominant 10-2 scoreline. Liquid returned the favour, pulling off an impressive defense to replicate FlyQuest’s scoreline from the previous half, and pushed the game to overtime. From the clutches of defeat, Liquid managed to continue the momentum to OT and won two rounds in a row in the second half of OT, closing an impressive comeback from Liquid.

Map 2: Train; Pick: FlyQuest; Winner: Liquid

Another 2-0 start for FQ was quickly matched by Liquid, who went on to put in a much better first half compared to Mirage. FQ managed to win two more rounds as Liquid’s defense pulled in 8. The offense was far from impressive by Liquid, but it managed to get the job done as the Australian side lost rounds frequently enough for the NA side to close the map and the series. From having a rough start to posting a 1.46 IR, ELiGE managed to pull in 18 kills, giving them the edge over a tricky side.

FlyQuest has been a solid team. However, they have yet to deliver something convincing that convinces fans they can be strong contenders and perform well in events. As things stand, they will have two more chances to make it through, but only time can tell if they will be at the playoffs.

YouTube Tightens Grip on Skin Gambling

In a massive clampdown on online gambling, YouTube said it will crack down more aggressively on content that promotes gambling using video game skins and other virtual items, a development that has the potential to destroy the lucrative business model of Counter-Strike 2 creators.

The new regulations, which come into play on November 17, 2025, broaden YouTube’s current gambling restrictions to encompass any content that sends viewers to platforms where digital items of real-world value, e.g., CS2 gun skins, cosmetics, and NFTs, can be bet. Creators will no longer be allowed to display logos, reference sites in terms, or link to these sites unless they’re authorized by Google Ads and meet local gambling laws.

The timing couldn’t be worse for the Counter-Strike fan base. The news comes just days after Valve’s unpopular trade-up update ravaged the CS2 skin market, deleting nearly $2 billion in value as overall market capitalization dropped from around $6 billion to $4.2 billion. That market upheaval now meets with a regulatory squeeze that might cut off a main source of revenue for CS2 YouTubers.

Skin gambling has become entrenched within the Counter-Strike environment, with unregulated platforms continuing to represent more than $300 million per year of CS2 betting, based on Esports Integrity Commission reports. Based on a 2024 review by the UK government, 40% of the leading 300 Twitch Counter-Strike streamers had sponsorships from one or more skin gambling sites, and ad revenue generated by betting-based content creators was estimated at $42 million on YouTube and Twitch in 2024 alone.

Numerous CS2 YouTubers have created whole channels centered around case openings, skin trading, and gambling website promotions content, which can now fall under YouTube’s new definition of gambling with digital assets. The platform will also age-restrict casino-type content even where no actual money is at stake, further cutting off audience exposure.

Content uploaded before November 17 will not be subject to strikes but will potentially still be age-restricted or taken down. YouTube is urging creators to blur or trim affected content using the platform’s trim tools ahead of the enforcement starting. Yet, for creators whose livelihoods rely significantly on gambling sponsorship and skin content, the policy change poses an existential threat to their model at a time when the underlying CS2 skin economy is already free-falling.

Marvel Rivals to Get Iron Man’s Big Shot Costume Soon

Tony Stark is exchanging battle heroics for absolute style with the release of his much-awaited “Big Shot” costume, which will arrive in Marvel Rivals on October 30, 2025, at 7:00 PM PT.

This mythic skin turns the Armored Avenger into a fashion-conscious billionaire, abandoning the classic red-and-gold armor for the high-end civilian attire that screams high-end. The costume itself puts Stark in a high-flying business suit – a crisp blazer with top buttons left open for a carefree look, red-tinged glasses, and the arc reactor emblem gleaming brightly on his bare chest. Marvel Rivals‘ campaign copy proclaims: “Genius. Billionaire. Hero. And this time, he’s not just saving the world – he’s owning it”.

The Big Shot skin highlights Tony’s athletic, muscular build and his unique “dorito-shaped” figure that fans have grown to love from the comics, complete with fingerless Iron Man gauntlets that are a mix of high fashion and combat utility. The reaction from the community has been positive, with players declaring it the “best skin by far” and complimenting the game for “always having the cleanest skins.”. One fan in particular was excited, saying, “Finally! A clean Stark skin!” – implying this more human, civilian-themed look was overdue.

The costume comes as part of Marvel Rivals Season 4: Heart of the Dragon, adding to Iron Man’s already robust collection of legendary skins, including Extrembiote Armor and Superior Iron Man designs. The Big Shot look plays up Stark’s billionaire playboy attitude, with NetEase calling it “bringing luxury and lethality together”.

Aside from appearance, the skin comes with special effects such as increased reload sounds and custom MVP animations. The players are already clamoring for color versions, and red-and-black recolors are the most sought-after alternatives. The costume will also be available to buy via the in-game shop, though actual pricing has yet to be officially announced.

The Sims Creators Say Goodbye to EA

The Sims universe is undergoing a seismic change as dozens of the most well-known content creators of the franchise have left behind their collaborations with Electronic Arts, launching what could become one of gaming’s most historic creator-led boycotts.

The exodus comes after EA’s $55 billion acquisition by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), Silver Lake, and Jared Kushner’s Affinity Partners, the largest all-cash sponsor take-private investment ever. Top creators, such as James Turner, Lilsimsie, Plumbella, Devon Bumpkin, Vixella, and CarynandConnieGaming, have openly disassociated themselves with the EA Creator Network, losing early access to game packs and rich creator codes that have professionally supported their careers.

Lilsimsie, with more than 2 million subscribers, put the community’s core issue into words: “The values represented by the people buying EA are fundamentally contradictory to what I believe in and will support.” Her exit is especially heartbreaking. EA had already partnered with her in creating bespoke DLC, but she decided her contributions would ultimately go to new ownership that did not share The Sims’ legacy of inclusivity.

Plumbella, a veteran Sims historian, emphasized the ethical math involved in taking a step back: “I’m in a position where I can say I’m leaving so easily. I hope that the sale doesn’t work out, and if it does, I hope that the people who remain put pressure on EA to hold the level of inclusiveness that The Sims has always been about.”

What distinguishes this movement is its calculated sacrifice. These creators recognize that their early access content drives marketing momentum for EA, making their departure a genuine leverage point. James Turner, who has built nearly two decades around Sims content, announced plans to pivot toward alternatives like Paralives, effectively fragmenting EA’s creator ecosystem just as the company faces a leadership transition.

The firm answered back in measured tones, asserting that The Sims “will always be a space where you can express your authentic self”- an implicit concession to community concerns. But the contradiction is telling: EA made the announcement at the same time that it announced a partnership with Stability AI to integrate generative artificial intelligence into game development, and questioned future creative direction.

Valorant Patch 11.09 Adds Mobile Authentication Requirements & More

Riot Games has officially disclosed the patch notes for the Valorant 11.09 update, and it includes a bunch of exciting changes for the competitive shooter.

The requirement for multi-factor authentication (MFA) for certain accounts is undoubtedly the highlight of the new Valorant update. Moving forward, accounts in certain regions that are flagged as shared will have to enable MFA to participate in ranked matches. Alongside this, the Valorant 11.09 update also includes several quality-of-life improvements to interactive objects, as well as a series of map and agent bug fixes.

Without further ado, let’s check out everything you need to know about the Valorant 11.09 update.

Valorant 11.09 Patch Notes Revealed: All Changes

Below, we’ve included the detailed patch notes for the Valorant 11.09 update, as confirmed by the devs:

ALL PLATFORMS

COMPETITIVE UPDATES

  • Starting in 11.09, accounts detected for sharing in NA, LATAM, BR, and KR, must enable Riot Mobile multi-factor authentication (MFA) to access Competitive queue. Other modes will remain unaffected.
    • You can check out this article for more information on why we’re making this change, or get yourself set up with MFA now using this how-to guide.

    • And lastly, a quick reminder that all Ascendant+ players will be required to add Riot Mobile MFA to their accounts in the above regions in an upcoming patch.

GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS UPDATES

  • We’re rolling out some small quality of life updates that should make it easier for you to perform the action you intend to in-game. Interactive objects are the focus of this patch, and this will cover everything your “Use Object” button will do-basically, anything where you press “F” on PC or Square/X on Console by default.
    • Interactive Object Highlighting – World interactions including Switches, Ropes, Ziplines and Ultimate Orbs have been updated to use the standard green highlight color that other interactive objects in the game use.
