Following an embarrassing loss against Virtus.pro, FaZe Clan has bounced back against Astralis as they fight their way out of the lower bracket and now find themselves in the next round of the Blast Premier Lisbon. Following their struggles, FaZe looks much better with broky firing on all cylinders and EliGE finding his footing with the roster.

Coming off a 13-0 defeat, FaZe set their sights on changing the narrative. Dominating the first half with 11 rounds to their name, FaZe Clan let a few rounds slip early on in the second half. Despite Astralis recovering 6 rounds, FaZe had enough of a buffer from the first half to close out the game at 13-7. Goes without saying, broky putting up 22 frags was key in FaZe enjoying a solid CT side.

Quick A rush to open up Nuke for FaZe but lost to a force buy from the Danes in the following round. FaZe responded with a force-buy conversion of their own and went on to bring home a series of rounds before Astralis managed to make it a little competitive winning 4 rounds by the end of the first half. FaZe lost the pistol round and got back on the board in the first gun round and never gave the momentum back to Astralis. Winning all the remaining rounds, FaZe Clan closed Nuke with a 13:6 scoreline.

While CadiaN‘s arrival did manage to get the roster to a better position, it is far from what the organization has achieved. While having the best Danish players in the team, Astralis has been underperforming for a while now, and it is high time that they look to address these concerns.

    Starting well on the defense, MOUZ put the pistol on the board and set the Falcons on the back foot. Train being a CT-sided map gave the Falcons enough room to come back after winning 7 rounds on the T side. Starting their defense with a win, they failed to gain momentum as MOUZ pulled ahead with a few rounds of their own. Winning 6 rounds in a row, MOUZ took control of the game they found themselves 11-9 up. Failing to make a comeback, MOUZ closed the game with a close scoreline of 13-11. Jimpphat led MOUZ to a win on Falcons’ pick with 18 kills to his name and posting an IR of 1.21.

    With Ancient being one of their better maps, MOUZ got off to a blistering start. With Falcons’ defense having little room to breathe, MOUZ had their aim and their tactics on point which led to them winning 9 rounds leaving Falcons little room to mount a comeback. Winning the pistol round they did manage to bring a few rounds back but failed to level as MOUZ pulled in their first gun round of the defense in Round 18. While Falcons did manage to cut the game close MOUZ managed to shut the game down. Both maps went close which shows that the game could have gone either way but it was MOUZ who pushed it over the line.

    With their 3rd big loss in a row against MOUZ, NiKo’s signing feels to be going in vain. The Falcons are closer to the exit than the next round of the tournament despite playing together for quite a while. Changes are needed and with the major approaching, time is of the essence. While Falcons will have another shot in this tournament and a disappointing result might take them out of HLTV’s top 10.

    Esports World Cup Announces Valorant Tournament Format for 2025

    When it comes to the global esports tournament, there is only one name and it is the Esports World Cup (EWC). Hosted annually in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the event showcases a huge number of esports titles. Recently, EWC has officially confirmed that Valorant will be added as another esports title. The Esports World Cup 2025 is set to feature a diverse lineup of 22 competitive gaming titles this year and Valorant is one of them. Finally, EWC has announced the official tournament format for Valorant in 2025.

    The Esports World Cup’s schedule and structure for the Valorant tournament are currently live. It is all set to take place from July 8 to 13. Between these days, there will be the group stage and the playoffs where a total of 16 teams will compete with each other. All matches will be held at Boulevard Riyadh City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

    In the group stage, the 16 teams will be divided into four groups of equal size. Each group will follow a Double-elimination format, commonly known as the GSL system. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. However, the playoffs will be played as a single-elimination bracket.

    However, the Chinese teams may be absent from the EWC Valorant event because of the conflicting scheduling with VCT China. This six-day tournament adds another international event to the FPS title’s esports calendar. In addition, EWC Valorant tournament matches will not be integrated into Riot Games’ official VCT circuit. The Valorant Champions Tour 2025 China Stage 2 is scheduled from July 3 to August 31, 2025, in Shanghai, China. This stage is part of the official VCT 2025 circuit. 

    Riot Games has partnered with the Esports World Cup to feature Valorant, along with other titles like League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics, in the event through 2027.     Cohen joined ESL in November 2016 as Senior Vice President of Live Events and Experiences. His innovative approach quickly made an impact, leading to his promotion in 2019 to Chief Relationship Officer and Global SVP of Brand Partnerships. During his eight-year tenure, he played a key role in establishing the Intel Extreme Masters, a cornerstone event in competitive gaming.

    Before esports, Cohen built a robust marketing career, starting at Momentum Worldwide in 1997 and later working with GMR Marketing and Superfly. His expertise in forging strategic partnerships elevated ESL FACEIT Group’s global presence.
