CSGO: VAC Wave wipes cheaters with new detections

Update: On May 17, TalkEsport reported about a popular CS:GO cheat (RatPoison) that was detected by the Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) after it was allegedly countered by two new modules, shipped in the form of updates into the game.

Hours after the article was made live, a user of this popular cheat reached out to the author on Twitter and provided him with proof that cited the whole above situation to be a result from a false alarm. TalkEsport then chose to further investigate the matter and hence deduced, the reddit post which was earlier posted by u/AlphaSlashDash was ruled to be “fake” by the cheat developers and the redditor himself.

Our author established a contact with the team of developers of this popular hack from whom he learned that this entire situation was just a gimmick within their community and the redditor who posted the entire extract in the first place was earlier banned from their Discord.

Over the years, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has witnessed an exponential rise in the number of cheaters and their impending wrath. The game since then has been through a rough patch when it comes to fair play. Ultimately it’s the VACnet which comes into play when it comes to eliminating these kinds by either convicting them while in-game or from the Overwatch cases.

More recently, Valve shipped a couple of updates, which were proven to be highly effective for the existing Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC).

Among these updates was a patch, sized 240 MB and it was packed with 2 new Modules, eventually busting an “unnamed popular free CSGO Cheat ” out there on the internet.

This was first reported by a Redditor u/AlphaSlashDash. As mentioned, the cheat’s name wasn’t disclosed by him but provided the community with quite an elaboration on the recent incident.

According to AlphaSlashDash, the cheat was one among the best free ones out there and was used by a plethora of players for legit cheating (where one would just pretend to play fair).

The recent updates to the game were indeed a nightmare for this unnamed cheat’s developers as VAC hammered it down to free its community from getting doomed.

His post on Reddit further assisted us to know more about these two new modules which were inculcated through the updates into the game  :

Module 1: Consists of a Process Memory handle listener which would flag all calls to ReadProcessMemory/WriteProcessMemory

Module 2: This was referred to as an integrity check which will utilize a variety of assorted hashing algorithms implemented in C++. It would further run a full S&I check on the currently running game platform, be it Half life 2, CSGO or Source.

Below is the image attached, a screenshot from a subreddit where the latter’s and cheat’s name have been blurred out.

Most surprisingly, the hackers who lost their accounts in this ban wave saw their alternate accounts get banned as well. This was too brought under light by AlphaSlashDash where he mentioned that Steam might track down your other accounts from the directory structure on your PC.

According to some anonymous sources from the community, this unnamed cheat allegedly goes by the name “RatPoison” and its developers haven’t yet surfaced with an official statement as of now.

FaZe Clan Rejected MrBeast Twice, Reveals Faze Banks

0

While a world where MrBeast is a part of the FaZe clan might be hard to imagine for many, it seems like that may have been the reality should things turned out differently 5 years ago. As recently revealed by FaZe Banks himself, the org missed out on Mr. Beast twice.

In a No Jumper podcast, Banks expressed his regrets about not signing MrBeast when he had the opportunity to, not once, but twice.

“I still just know that it wouldn’t have ever worked long term, when [we] originally started this CloutGang s**t, I missed on him twice,” he said. He also described it as his “biggest f**k up.”

However, Banks claimed that there are no hard feelings between them regarding it, and confirmed that they’re still in touch with each other.

The first time, MrBeast was rejected due to him not being “a gamer.” He attempted joining the clan once again once started the CloutGang, but was rejected again.

Looking at the current success of MrBeast, it might be for the best that things didn’t work out between them. MrBeast is one of the most popular YouTubers in the world as of now and is renowned for his unique videos giving away stuff to people.

PlayStation Studios now have a Steam page, hints at upcoming PC games

0

Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the first triple-A Sony titles to release on PC which was a massive success on the platform and reinforced Sony’s decision to bring more games to its users as a way to entice them to switch to the PlayStation 5 for the upcoming sequel. This also led to the announcement of Days Gone on PC and with it, Sony Mobile Entertainment have established themselves as a publisher on Steam which leads to the creation of their own curator page as a result.

The curator store page gives us a few hints about their upcoming titles on PC. Their ‘featured’ page shows that there are a total of three games under the ‘New Releases’ tab –  Helldivers, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Predator: Hunting Grounds, along with 21 DLCs for both Helldivers and Predator: Hunting Grounds in total, while their ‘Upcoming Releases’ tab shows Days Gone which is scheduled to release on May 18, 2021.

However, heading to their curator page’s ‘About’ section reveals that there are currently 41 games, out of which 17 are hidden from users. It’s fairly obvious that neither Days Gone nor Horizon Zero Dawn has any DLCs, as all previously released downloadable content is included in the base release for PC, while Helldivers already has all DLC content listed and probably won’t be getting anything new, and that leaves us with Predator: Hunting Grounds which might get a handful of content but it still wouldn’t explain the remaining hidden ‘games’.

At least one of these unlisted games might be another first-party game, according to rumors after Days Gone, we might see one of these titles in the future; Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, The Last of Us, or the Uncharted collection.

It’s safe to say with E3 on the horizon, we won’t have to wait long for another announcement.

Genshin Impact Eula Banner Release Date & Skills

The highly anticipated Genshin Impact patch 1.6 is nearly here, and it’s set to bring a plethora of new content to the open-world RPG by miHoYo. While the update is expected to hit the live servers in early June, a lot of fans seem to be more excited about the upcoming Eula banner that’s set to arrive much earlier than that.

Let’s take a look at the expected release date of the Eula Banner in Genshin Impact alongside her skills.

Genshin Impact Eula Banner Release Date

The release date of the Eula Banner hasn’t been confirmed by miHoYo as of yet. However, we can still get a pretty good idea about the time of its arrival.

Fans can hopefully expect to see the Eula Banner in action in the next few days. There’s also a high possibility of it arriving around Tuesday, May 18th, since the title has a history of releasing new characters on Tuesdays.

Genshin Impact Eula Skills

The skills of Eula in Genshin Impact have already been confirmed by miHoYo. Eula is set to be a Cryo character, but lighter than any other Cryo character in the game

Her basic attack performs up to five consecutive strikes, with her charged attack draining stamina over time to perform continuous slashes.

She also has a plunging attack that deals AoE damage upon impact and can be executed while falling from mid-air.

Eula’s elemental skill is named ‘Icetide Vortex’ and it includes the following:

Press:

Slashes swiftly and deals Cryo DMG.

Eula gains a stack of Grimheart that stacks up to two times after hitting opponents. These stacks can only be gained once every 0.3 seconds.

Grimheart:

Increase’s Eula’s resistance to Interruption and DEF.

Hold:

Eula slashes forward dealing AoE Cryo DMG to opponents in front of her, consuming all the stacks of Grimheart that Eula possesses.

Each stack of Grimheart gets converted into an Icewhirl Brand that deals Cryo DMG to nearby opponents, decreasing their Physical RES and Cryo RES.

Her elemental burst has been named ‘Glacial Illumination’.

Using the skill, she can deal Cryo DMG with her sword and creates a Lightfall Sword that follows her for a set duration.

All of Eula’s basic attacks, elemental skills and bursts charge the Lightfall Sword.

Passive Talents

Aristocratic Introspection:

When Eula crafts Character Talent Materials, she has a 10% chance to receive double the product.

Roiling Rime:

If two stacks of Grimheart are consumed upon using Icetide VOrtex hold mode, a Lightfall Sword Remnant will be created and explode immediately, dealing 50% of the basic Physical DMG dealt by a Lightfall Sword created by Glacial illumination.

Wellspring of War-Lust:

When Eula’s Normal Attacks score CRIT hits, Icetide Vortex’s CD will be decreased by 0.3s. This effect can occur once every 0.1s.

Constellations:

Illusion of Light Tide:

After consuming Grimheart from the Ice Tide Vortex’s effect, Eula’s physical DMG is increased by 30% for 6s.

Each Grimheart consumed will extend the duration of this buff by 6s. With a limit of 18s.

The Girl of Sea Foam:

The CD time for the hold version of Eula’s E (10s) is reduced to the same CD amount as the tap version (4s).

Lawrence Pedigree:

Increases the level of Glacial illumination by 3

Max level is 15

The Obstinacy of One’s Inferiors:

Lightfall Swords deal 25% more DMG against enemies with less than 50% HP.

Chivalric Quality:

Increases the level of Icetide Vortex by 3.

Max level is 15.

Noble Obligation:

Lightfall Swords created by Glacial Illumination start with 5 stacks of energy.

Normal Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts have a 50% chance to grant the Lightfall Sword an additional stack of energy.

Ninja earned $5 million in a month only from his Fortnite Creator Code

5 million dollars is a big amount, even for top content creators except for the likes of Tyler Blevins aka Ninja. According to the Twitch streamer, his monthly earning from the Fortnite Creator Code alone racks up to $5 million

For those not aware of the Fortnite Creator Code, it is a program that permits Fortnite content creators to procure 5% of benefits from in-game transactions. This works by players placing in special codes will they buy things from the game and these codes are unique to every streamer.

“I think the most I’ve ever made in a month off the Creator Code was like five mil, I’m not joking. It was funny, man. I actually talked sh** to someone the other day in a stream who was roasting my League of Legends gameplay, and I told him that I could buy his family tree. It was hilarious.” said Ninja.

Fortnite developers are always pushing new skins and guns that are keeping the player base engaged. Given how fancy the new skins are, everyone wants to grab a piece for themselves which explains the incredible number of micro-transactions taking place.

Ninja boasts a huge following and his fans never shy away from using his creator code therefore the 5 million won’t seem much and it shouldn’t come as a surprise to the number go up in the near future.

THESPIKE.GG CEO Allegedly Owe Staff Members Over $40,000 for Unpaid Work

CEO of popular Valorant coverage website THESPIKE Arur “m1nac” Minacov is under fire after staff members have raised allegations against him of owing more than $40,000 to current and former contractors for months of unpaid work.

In a recent statement made on Twitter, Mostafa Hossam has alleged that he hasn’t received any payment for several months of work he has done for the site.

“In my own case, I had 4 months of pay overdue that I chased for over 30 days in February 2021 just to receive half of it,” Hossain said in a Twitlonger. “Fast forward to now, after the half was paid, I have 7 months of unpaid work due to be paid.”

He further alleged that the CEO owes over $40,000 in unpaid work to current and former contractors. “At the moment of writing, there is easily more than $40K overdue payments to current and former employees.”

“Whenever we asked for payment, we used to get a lot of pep talk; soldiers, brothers, and all that nice talk. Then followed by promises of other projects succeeding to eventually fund THESPIKE. Anything and everything you can imagine.”

You can read the full Twitlonger here.

Another writer in THESPIKE, Shawn “Germanicus” Heerema claimed that Minacov owes him around $2,500 CAD in unpaid work.

“Problems didn’t arise for myself until February of this year, I know others had issues come up earlier. Since then, I’ve been without pay,” Heerema said. “I’m owed around 2500 CAD”

He further claimed that only one employee, whose name he has kept private, makes up for over half of the unpaid $40,000.

Both Hossain and Heerema have confirmed that the staff has issued an ultimatum that they would not be doing any further coverage for Masters Reykjavik until the payments are cleared.

How to get Decrypted Data in Destiny 2?

0

Decrypted Data is the latest seasonal currency in Season of the Splicer and is primarily used for upgrading the Splicer Gauntlet through the Splicer Servitor located in H.E.L.M. Upgrading the Gauntlet unlocks various perks and bonuses that make it easier for players to acquire and spend Ether (charges for the Splicer Gauntlet which lets you open chests in the seasonal activity, Override).

Here’s how you can get more Decrypted Data in Destiny 2.

Level up your Season Pass

Owners of Beyond Light Deluxe edition and Players who have purchased Season of the Splicer separately will have the benefit of receiving Decrypted Data after reaching certain levels in the season pass.

Levels 2, 12 and 32 will grant players 100 Decrypted Data each.

Path of the Splicer Quests

Similar to Challenger’s Proving questline in the previous season, players will get a new quest ‘Path of the Splicer’ which is related to the seasonal story. These quests will show up every week and will reward players with Decrypted Data upon completion.

Players can access the quest in H.E.L.M. by speaking to the Splicer Servitor.

Seasonal Challenges

Each week, players will get 10 Seasonal challenges that grant massive amounts of XP, Bright Dust, Weapons, and more. These challenges have different objectives which require defeating certain enemies or equipping a certain weapon.

However, finishing Hello, World, and Maximum Override in Week 1 will net you 150 Decrypted Data each, adding to a total of 300. It’s a possibility that recurring challenges will provide similar rewards every week and will expire at the end of the season, so you’ll have plenty of time to complete them.

Conflux Chests

Opening the Conflux (blue) chest in Override, the activity for this season will grant you 35 Decrypted Data. Opening a Conflux chest requires a Key Code which can be created in the Splicer Gauntlet using 50 Ether which can be farmed by completing playlist activities such as Crucible, Strikes, and Gambit. The Conflux Chests also grants mods as well as other goodies such as weapons, armor, etc.

This will be your primary source for farming Decrypted Data as the Seasonal Challenges will reset on a weekly basis and opening the Conflux Chests is a much faster method.
