That adds up to at least $185,000 from the four events where VLR.gg’s Global Esports team page lists prize money.
VCT Pacific Kickoff: A Quiet Start in Seoul
GE opened the year at Kickoff in Seoul and went 2-2. They beat VARREL and Gen.G, both 2-1, but losses to Paper Rex and DetonatioN FocusMe, also by 2-1, ended the run at 7th to 8th.
That placing kept them out of Masters Santiago, the first international event of the year.
Stage 1: Third Place and a First Masters Ticket
Stage 1 ran from April 2 to May 17, and GE made it to the upper final of the playoffs. FULL SENSE beat them 2-0 there. In the lower final they met Paper Rex, who swept them 3-0 and went on to win the event.
Third place was still enough. The top three teams in Pacific qualified for Masters London, so Paper Rex, FULL SENSE and Global Esports all made the trip. The full bracket is on Liquipedia’s VCT Pacific Stage 1 page.
Masters London and EWC: Two Hard Trips Abroad
London was GE’s first Masters. They played three Swiss stage series in four days.
| Date | Opponent | Result |
|---|---|---|
| June 7 | LEVIATÁN | Lost 1-2 |
| June 9 | FULL SENSE | Won 2-1 |
| June 10 | Xi Lai Gaming | Lost 1-2 |
A 1-2 record meant elimination and a 9th to 10th finish. LEVIATÁN, the team that beat them in round one, won the whole event.
The Esports World Cup in July went worse. GE lost 0-2 to MIBR and 0-2 to All Gamers and left in 13th to 16th place without winning a map.
Stage 2: The Run That Changed the Season
GE went 3-2 in the Stage 2 group stage. They beat Rex Regum Qeon, FULL SENSE and ZETA DIVISION 2-0 each and lost 1-2 to Nongshim RedForce and Gen.G.
The playoffs started on August 26.
| Round | Opponent | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Upper round 1 | KIWOOM DRX | Won 2-1 |
| Upper semifinal | VARREL | Won 2-0 |
| Upper final | Nongshim RedForce | Lost 1-2 |
| Lower final | T1 | Won 3-1 |
| Grand final | Nongshim RedForce | Won 3-2 |
Their Champions spot was confirmed during the playoffs, before the grand final was played. Losing the upper final to Nongshim RedForce sent them to the lower bracket, and the 3-1 win over T1 on September 5 earned a rematch for the title.
The Busan Grand Final: Down 0-2, Won 3-2
On September 6 in Busan, Nongshim RedForce took the first two maps. Split finished 13-2. One more map and the title was gone.
GE won the next three.
| Map | Global Esports | Nongshim RedForce |
|---|---|---|
| Sunset | 11 | 13 |
| Split | 2 | 13 |
| Abyss | 13 | 10 |
| Lotus | 13 | 5 |
| Haven | 13 | 10 |
UdoTan was named series MVP. The win gave GE their first VCT Pacific title, $100,000 and Pacific’s first seed for Champions.
Valorant Champions 2026: Beating EDG, Losing to LOUD
Group B in Shanghai had Team Vitality, LOUD, EDward Gaming and GE. Every series was best-of-three, and the top two went through to the playoffs.
| Date | Match | Opponent | Result | Maps |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sep 26 | Opening | Team Vitality | Lost 1-2 | Abyss 10-13, Ascent 13-9, Summit 11-13 |
| Oct 2 | Elimination | EDward Gaming | Won 2-0 | Summit 13-5, Sunset 13-6 |
| Oct 4 | Decider | LOUD | Lost 0-2 | Split 8-13, Sunset 9-13 |
The opener against Vitality went the distance, and Vitality took the third map 13-11 on Summit. Two days later, GE swept EDward Gaming 2-0 and eliminated the 2024 world champions in front of their home crowd.
The decider against LOUD turned on one stretch. GE led 8-5 on Split and lost the next eight rounds. LOUD then opened Sunset with seven straight rounds and closed the series 2-0. GE finished 9th to 12th and collected $30,000. Full Champions results and the playoff bracket are on TalkEsport’s Valorant Champions 2026 hub.

What the 2026 Season Means for Global Esports
GE got three firsts in one year: a first Masters, a first VCT Pacific title and a first Champions.
The international record is thinner. Across Masters London, EWC and Champions, GE won two of eight series. The wins came against FULL SENSE in London and EDG in Shanghai.
Next season will look different. Riot is moving the VCT to an open qualifier format in 2027, so Pacific’s slots for Masters and Champions will be decided under new rules. Official updates go out on valorantesports.com.
