POST MALONE

Days after NBA legend and professional basketball player Ben Simmons joined FaZe clan as an investor and member, it’s Post Malone who is joining the list of celebrities who have invested in esports organizations.

The American rapper and singer has acquired an “undisclosed equity stake” in Team Envy, making him the co-owner of the esports organization based in Dallas, Texas. The star announced the news through a tweet on August 28th.

“I grew up in Texas and I’ve been gaming my whole life, so this just really felt right,” Post Malone said in a press release. “I have always wanted to be a part of bringing gaming into the professional sports world so to be involved with what Envy is doing in my hometown feels like such a perfect fit.”

Team Envy is a huge name in the world of esports. It has been in the scene since 2007 and has prominent competitive rosters in games like Counter-Strike, FIFA, Fortnite, Halo, League of Legends, Overwatch, PUBG, and Rocket League.
