Ninjas in Pyjamas announce new Dota 2 roster for 2019-20 DPC season

Its been a flurry of roster announcements for the past few days and now Ninjas in Pyjamas have announced their new line-up for the new season as well.

As expected, NIP retain Peter “ppd” Dager as the captain of the team, and position 5 hard support player. PPD is the only member of the team from the last DPC season that has been retained.

First of the new recruits is Oliver “Skiter” Lepko, from Slovakia, who has represented teams like Penta and Team Spirit, before playing for Team Infamous last DPC season. He will play the hard carry position 1 role for Ninjas in Pyjamas.

The second recruit is Nico “Gunnar” Lopez, who played with EternalEnvy on the “infamous” teamteam roster, at ESL One Mumbai and shot to fame, when he was kicked from the team, mid-tournament. Gunnar played the TI9 qualifiers from the SEA region under “Team Jinesbrus” and was 1 step away from going to TI. Gunnar is a promising new prospect and we can’t wait to see how he performs under PPD’s guidance. Gunnar will play the role of MID LANER for Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Joining them will be ex-NAVI player Malthe “Biver” Winther, who has been a teammate of Skiter for a while now. Biver has played with Skiter on both Team Spirit and Infamous in recent times. He will take up the role of position 4 support for Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Final new addition to the team is not exactly new to the scene, we have Saahil “Universe” Arora, an ex-teammate of PPD from his Evil Geniuses days. The universe is a very experienced campaigner and will surely add value to this team.

As former teammates, ppd and Universe come in as the veterans in an otherwise unproven but extremely promising new line-up. The two share a track record having won The International 5 together and are now looking to combine their strengths once more and mold a team that can win championships.

The team will Bootcamp from September 27th,2019 in Stockholm, Sweden to prepare for the upcoming major/minor qualifiers.
