Nobody gave them a chance. Paper Rex had already beaten them once, swept them clean, and sent them tumbling into the lower bracket on day one of playoffs. Five elimination series later, a group of teenagers stood on stage at the Copper Box Arena holding the trophy.
Leviatán Win VALORANT Masters London 2026, Beating Paper Rex 3-2 After Historic Lower Bracket Run
The Grand Final looked over before it began. Paper Rex opened on Fracture with six straight defensive rounds and never eased off, taking the map 13-2 in the kind of beating that ends teams. Leviatán answered on Split, 13-6, and suddenly the series had a pulse.
Breeze went the other way. Leviatán led 8-4 at the half, then watched Paper Rex tear the second half apart to win 13-11. Down 2-1, facing the most decorated roster in the game, the Americas side simply refused to fold. Ascent fell 13-10 on the strength of their retakes. Lotus was never a contest: an 11-1 attack half, the pistol won, 12-1, and then the round that ended Pacific’s grip on the Masters trophy after five straight titles.
Bruno “Neon” Rodríguez was named MVP. He is 18. He came up through Leviatán’s academy alongside blowz, promoted this year by coach Rodrigo “Onur” Dalmagro, who has been the through line for both. With an average age of 19.6, Leviatán are the youngest team ever to win an international VALORANT event, the first LATAM side to lift a Masters trophy, and only the third Americas organisation to do it after Sentinels and OpTic Gaming.
For IGL Francisco “kiNgg” Aravena, the win carried something more personal. The Chilean veteran called it the second happiest day of his life, behind the birth of his daughter.
The final drew over 1.06 million peak concurrent viewers, making London the most-watched Masters of 2026, comfortably clear of Santiago’s 883,064. Leviatán take home $350,000 and eight VCT points. Paper Rex leave with $200,000, six points, and a confirmed slot at Champions.
Riot did not let the moment pass quietly. Minutes after the confetti, the broadcast cut to a reveal of Summit, a new map, alongside a 3v3 Retake mode. Both land before the next stop on the calendar.
