Destiny 2 x Assassin’s Creed Crossover: All you need to know

Developed by Bungie, Destiny 2 is a F2P online multiplayer FPS game. Assassin’s Creed, on the other hand, is a Ubisoft-published open-world action-adventure stealth video game title created by Ubisoft Montreal. Both developers have confirmed that the two franchises are going to have a crossover event.

Previously, Destiny 2 had crossovers with popular franchises like Fortnite and Warframe. However, we don’t see crossovers like Destiny 2 x Assassin’s Creed that often. As a result, the whole gaming community got surprised.

The collaboration between Destiny 2 and Assassin’s Creed is now official as both developers have officially confirmed the crossover.

From 6th December, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will receive Destiny 2-themed items while Destiny 2 will receive Assassin’s Creed-based items in-game. Players will be able to use their preferred cosmetic items on their favorite character.

Only a few days after Smash World Tour (SWT) confirmed that it would be shutting down, canceling the upcoming 2022 championship alongside the 2023 tour, Nintendo has come forward with a statement explaining their decision to not offer SWT a license to host Smash Bros. tournaments.

According to a recent report from IGN, Nintendo claimed that their decision was based on an “assessment of the proposals submitted by the SWT and our evaluation of their unlicensed activities.” The company further stated that in order to be eligible for the license, the partner has to “meet the high standards we require when it comes to the health and safety of our fans.”

“This decision was not influenced by any external parties such as Panda Global,” the statement reads. 

Panda Global will remain a partner with Nintendo, but the company said that they were looking forward to receiving proposals from other groups for tournament licenses.

In their statement, Nintendo mentioned that they verbally let SWT know that they didn’t need to cancel the 2022 finals due to the drastic impact it may have on players. “Thus, the decision to cancel the SWT 2022 was, and still is, their own choice,” they added.

The SWT organizers have confirmed that they’ll be offering full refunds to the people who have purchased tickets for the event, which has since been canceled.

Nicolai “HUNDEN” Petersen, former CS:GO coach, was unbanned on November 29 after reaching an agreement with the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC).

In August 2021, the Dane was suspended for two years for allegedly sharing Heroic’s strategy folder with an opponent team. ESIC members, including ESL, DreamHack, and BLAST, banned him from playing or coaching at their tournaments.

In a press release today, the coach consented to “appropriate training” and ESIC would examine its policies and procedures to make them “compatible with good industry practice and suitable for the purpose.”

Hunden Unbanned

This entails that HUNDEN will henceforth be qualified to participate in ESIC member events effective immediately after the announcement was made.

“On 29 November 2022, the parties met in person in order to discuss matters arising from that participation ban. The meeting was conducted in good faith and in a collaborative spirit. While the parties were in disagreement on certain matters, both parties recognized the importance of integrity to the thriving Esports industry,” read ESIC Release. 

Following discussions between the parties, Mr. Petersen has agreed to undertake relevant training and ESIC has confirmed that it will review its policies and procedures to ensure they are consistent with good industry practice and fit for purpose. In light of the constructive engagement between the parties, Mr. Petersen will return to participation in ESIC member events with immediate effect. 

After HUNDEN had been banned for two years and had served eight months of the sentence, he issued his own statement. I would like to express my appreciation to the legal team that I have working for me at Howard Kennedy LLP and 33 Chancery Lane for their assistance throughout this challenging time.

“Following discussions between the parties, Mr. Petersen has agreed to undertake relevant training and ESIC has confirmed that it will review its policies and procedures to ensure they are consistent with good industry practice and fit for purpose. In light of the constructive engagement between the parties, Mr. Petersen will return to participation in ESIC member events with immediate effect.”

According to what he shared on social media this morning, all issues have been resolved on the basis of the agreed-upon joint statement.

Following a forensic analysis, it was discovered that the recipient had no access to the information that HUNDEN had supplied. HUNDEN’s leak “threatened harm to the reputation and competitive integrity of esports, and ESIC’s member ESL,” according to ESIC.
