When is Split Returning To Valorant in 2023?

0

It has been over six months since Split departed Valorant’s map pool in June 2022. It was replaced by Pearl, a map that has managed to earn praise from the Valorant community due to its unique design and immersive visuals.

While Pearl was pretty well-received in the community, a good number of Valorant fans were also pretty upset by the unforeseen departure of Split.

Luckily, to the delight of fans who have been eagerly awaiting the return of Split to the competitive map pool of the shooter, the developers have officially announced the date of its comeback to Valorant. However, Split’s return comes at the cost of Bind and Breeze being temporarily removed from the map pool of Valorant.

When Will Split Come Back To Valorant?

As confirmed by the developers in a blog post, Split will be returning to the Valorant map rotation with the upcoming patch 6.0.

For the uninitiated, Valorant patch 6.0 will hit the live servers around January 10, 2022. Alongside Split, the update is also expected to introduce a new map to Valorant in order to maintain the 7-map pool rotation of the title.

Fans will have to bid farewell to Breeze and Bind once the update drops, but they’ll be returning to the title at some point in the future. The exact date of their return hasn’t been confirmed by the developers yet, but it will likely take around six months or more for the official map pool to change again.

BGMI Comeback: Is the game coming back in 2023?

BGMI and its comeback story in India has been one with a lot of twists, turns and filled with rumours. The game has been banned in India for almost six months now and there has been some development regarding the game. Here are the latest updates about the ban.

Indian government blocked the access to BGMI under the Section 69(A) of IT Act. Our preliminary report disclosed that the authorities have concerns over data migration policies and its Chinese connections. The official action was taken soon and Krafton has been working with the authorities since then to bring the game back in India.

Some major events took place following the BGMI in India. There has been a constant back and fourth between the authorities and Krafton officials. The BGMI developers have received a time window of 14 days to prove their innocence. The changes with no definitive conclusion has painted a very hazy picture about BGMI’s future in the country.

Krafton was recently seen doing some activities on their BGMI servers even though the game is officially banned. Recently, the servers were taken down for maintenance break and after that, two new in-game events were added to the game, which should not happen if a game is banned in the country.

This has hinted towards a different thing that BGMI might come back to India as the servers are being maintained and new events are being launched in the game itself. Recently, influencers have also started to hype BGMI once again, which is usually a trend before the game comes back to India.

There is no assurance as such that BGMI will be coming back but the positive indications around the community is certainly a thing to look out for.

Valorant new map teaser revealed; shows a night-mode map

0

There will soon be a new map and the return of Split in Valorant Act 1, Episode 6. A preview for the ninth map may have been released by Riot Games, and it’s not what players were expecting.

If you follow the official Riot handle, you may have seen a cryptic teaser for the upcoming ninth map of Valorant. It’s the narrator and the possible map’s look that really take you by surprise. If Valorant moves on to a new site, it will probably be at night.

As the caption says, we might get a sneak peek of the map on January 5th along with any further details if available.

This new-looking map raises suspicions that Riot is preparing to violate yet another unspoken norm.

Riot has not yet included a night mode map for Valorant, however, the recent teaser on their official page hints at a new map that might soon be on the horizon.

On Valorant’s official page, Riot posted a rainy, gloomy teaser that featured the guardian of nightmares, Fade.

There hasn’t been a new competitive map added to Valorant in about six months. Fans of the shooter Valorant all over the world praised the last map Pearl, which was released on June 22, 2022.

The Valorant devs have recently announced that a new game mechanic would be introduced alongside the next Valorant map, and the player base is eager to find out what changes Riot Games has in store for them.

It seems likely that a night-time map will be included, as suggested by both the night sky and Fade’s speech line. A solitary Fade stands alone against a night-time skyline of towering buildings and bizarre characters.

Now Riot has hinted at a setting that seems like it could be straight out of a Cyberpunk fantasy: a city at night filled with Neon. There is red and orange neon lighting the buildings, and it is raining. The sky is noticeably gloomy, and the map has a distinctly futuristic style.

All Valorant maps have, so far, been designed with clear daylight, as is typical of first-person shooter settings. In 5v5 games, visibility is very important; yet, players have never been averse to playing on maps set at night.

Nonetheless, creators have to think about playability, which is why nighttime maps are still uncommon.

It’s either a whole new map or Riot has added a new section to Split and made it more suitable for the evening. Split does not have any buildings of this height, so this must be a new map nine. Whatever the situation may be, the area does not resemble any place on any known map.

In January 2023, Riot Games will withdraw the Bind and Breeze from competitive play and reintroduce the Split. In June 2022, the devs said they will keep seven maps in Valorant’s active map pool, so the next map may arrive in the same release.
Valorant’s Act 1 Episode 6, would introduce a whole new map by the end of the month.

E-nuggets Gaming App Fraud: ED Freezes Another 42.21 Crore

0

The E-Nuggets scam is emerging into an immense fraud case as Enforcement Directorate (ED) is digging deeper into the case every day. Previously, ED seized a total of Rs 68.42 crore including cash and cryptocurrencies during their investigation. Today, ED has frozen another 42.21 crores after carrying out search operations at 1548 bank accounts.

ED officials confirmed that E-Nuggets used those 1548 bank accounts and the crime comes under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) 2002. Therefore, a total amount of Rs. 110.76 crores has been seized so far in this case.

The mastermind Aamir Khan is now in judicial custody. Romen Agarwal was previously detained by ED under the PMLA of 2002 in connection with an ongoing inquiry into E-nuggets. He participated extensively in both intra and inter-country transactions. He was presented before the Kolkata Special Court (PMLA), where the court gave ED custody of him.

The case was registered against Aamir Khan and others as per the FIR registered by Park Street Police Station. The FIR was based on a complaint that was filed by the Federal Bank in the court of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Kolkata. After that, ED started their investigation, and a total of Rs. 110.76 crores has been recovered yet.

Who Are The Biggest Canadian Esports Pros In The World?

0

With 38 million people, Canada has a smaller population than California but has managed to make its mark in shaping the Esports industry almost as much as their neighbors to the south.

There have been plenty of professional players that have scooped up huge tournament winnings and produced jaw-dropping moments inside the server. With that in mind, here are some of the biggest Canadian Esports pros from across the industry.

Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken

Known for his striking array of hairstyles and killer reaction speed, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken is one of CS:GO’s most famous faces. Having been an ever-present in the scene since 2015, the 23-year-old received his big break in April 2017 when he joined the biggest org in North America, Team Liquid.

Over three years with the team, Twistzz would be one of the stars of the show as Liquid became the number one side in the world with an Intel Grand Slam Season 2 win. In 2021, the Canadian moved to Germany to join up with FaZe Clan, and instantly began to turn them into heavy hitters at Esports bookmakers like Unikrn. He became the first Canadian to win a CS:GO Major at PGL Antwerp in May 2022, has made the HLTV Top Twenty Player of the Year awards twice and even the Play of the Year at the 2022 Esports Awards.

Artour “Arteezy” Babaev

Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in July 1996, Artour “Arteezy” Babaev is a professional Dota 2 player who has also had stints in the original Dota game as well as StarCraft II. Despite being immensely talented, Arteezy wouldn’t join a professional org until 2013, with his biggest break coming when he joined Evil Geniuses a year later.

A dominant and aggressive mid-lane with the likes of Razer, Dragon Knight and Naga Siren, Arteezy finished 3rd in The International 2014 and 2018. He became only the second player to hit a matchmaking rating of over 9,000, the third to hit 10,000 and broke the 11,000 in 2020.

The Vancouver resident is also one of the most popular Dota 2 streamers, boasting over 711,000 followers on Twitch as of 2022.

Stephanie “missharvey” Harvey

Some of the most influential Esports professionals in the world are the people who are able to fashion together successful careers, and then continue trailblazing in the industry after their retirement. That is the trajectory Canadian developer Stephanie “missharvey” Harvey has followed in over twenty years in the Esports world.

Having played both Counter-Strike 1.6 and CS:GO between 2003 and 2019 for the likes of Counter-Logic Gaming, missharvey has gone on to become a game developer with Ubisoft Montreal. One of the leading advocates for gender equality and equal opportunities for women in the Esports world, she has gone on to found the Missclicks community, been named one of BBC’s 100 Women, has won Canada’s Smartest Person and even won the second season of Big Brother Célébrités.

Damon “Karma” Barlow

Another one of Canada’s hotshot FPS players, Damon “Karma” Barlow is one of the most influential Call of Duty pros in the game’s competitive history. Having first appeared on the competitive scene in 2010 in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Karma would spend a decade playing at the top level with the likes of Complexity, FaZe Clan, Optic and Seattle Surge.

With three Call of Duty Championship wins between 2014 and 2017, Karma’s $815,087.25 in prize winnings is the fifth-most amount of money earned by a player in a professional console game. Karma retired from competitive Call of Duty in 2020 after citing fatigue with Modern Warfare, however, he remains an active streamer on Twitch.

Keith “NAF” Markovic

25-year-old CS:GO pro Keith “NAF” Markovic is another one of North America’s most highly-regarded players. Having played CS:GO from its launch in 2012, NAF’s first big breakthrough moves came in 2016 and 2017 when he joined Optic and Renegades. However, it would be in 2018 with a move to Team Liquid that the Canadian native would truly hit his peak.

Alongside fellow Canadian Twistzz, NAF would help the NA team become the first from the region to dominate the CS:GO world. NAF has won five tournament MVP awards during his career, been named an HLTV top twenty players on three different occasions, and is still one of the top fraggers in the Liquid lineup.
