How to Get the Explosive Repeater Rifle in Fortnite

0

With the advent of Fortnite’s Chapter 4 Season 3, the game has undergone several significant transformations, one of which is the introduction of the Explosive Repeater Rifle. This new addition has superseded the Heavy Sniper Rifle, rendering it the sole firearm in the game that uses heavy ammunition.

The Explosive Repeater Rifle is part of the v25.11 update, which was ushered in alongside two new Augments and the Slap Splash consumable. The rifle, borrowing its design cues from the now-vaulted Heavy Sniper Rifle, brings an explosive twist to the game by firing explosive projectiles using heavy ammo just like any other rifle.

Players might notice the absence of a scope on the Explosive Repeater Rifle, but its precise crosshair makes it an ideal choice for mid to long-range engagements. It has the unique ability to inflict immediate explosive damage to enemies and nearby objects, making it a game-changer in the Fortnite universe.

Explosive Repeater Rifle Locations in Fortnite

As to where players can find this new weapon, the Explosive Repeater Rifle is now a part of the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 loot pool. It is readily available in chests or as floor loot across the island. In addition, players can buy the Explosive Repeater Rifle from an NPC named Nia, who is usually spotted near Steamy Springs and the Grind Rails Bridge leading to Kenjutsu Crossing. The weapon can be purchased in Epic rarity for 250 Gold Bars upon interacting with Nia.

Explosive Repeater Rifle Rarities and Stats in Fortnite

The Explosive Repeater Rifle boasts a damage count of 76 on the body and 114 on headshots. Despite its rapid fire rate, which surpasses single-shot sniper rifles used in previous Fortnite seasons, some players may still prefer the Thermal DMR due to its scoped advantage. The replacement of the Heavy Sniper with the Explosive Repeater Rifle has indeed sparked lively discussions among the Fortnite community.

The Explosive Repeater Rifle brings a whole new dimension to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, enhancing the gaming experience with its explosive firepower and unique features. It’s a must-try for all Fortnite enthusiasts!

Aspire Suspended from Overwatch World Cup Amid Grooming Allegations

The world of esports has been shaken as Team USA, currently participating in the Overwatch World Cup, announced the suspension of their starting DPS player, Luka “Aspire” Rolovic, amid grooming allegations. Aspire, also a part of the Vancouver Titans’ DPS line-up, will not be taking part in the rest of the World Cup Qualifiers.

At the time of the allegations, Team USA was leading its group in the qualifiers with an unblemished 3-0 record. The team’s impressive performance, if continued, could have seen them securing a spot in the main event at BlizzCon later this year. However, the suspension of Aspire casts a shadow on their future prospects.

The grooming allegations were publicly disclosed via an anonymous Twitter account on June 27. The account posted a document containing screenshots of conversations and photos serving as evidence. The anonymous accuser claimed to have been in a relationship with Aspire when they were 16 and Aspire was 20. The relationship allegedly turned sexual after a few weeks, with both parties exchanging explicit photos before the accuser turned 17.

With Aspire’s removal from the starting roster, Team USA is left with two DPS players – Isaiah “Hydron” Rodriguez from Toronto Defiant and Kamden “Sugarfree” Hijada from Vancouver Titans. The change in team dynamics could potentially impact their performance in the upcoming matches.

The accuser alleges that the relationship with Aspire started in March 2022, and they were explicit about their age from the beginning. Interestingly, Becca “Aspen” Rukavina, an Overwatch streamer and player, revealed that the Vancouver Titans had known about the allegations for as long as six months, as she had provided the information to the Titans’ management before the allegations became public.

The Vancouver Titans have not yet made a public statement regarding the allegations. Aspire himself also remains silent on the matter, leaving the Overwatch community in suspense and fostering an environment of uncertainty.

The implications of this event on the Overwatch World Cup and the esports community as a whole are yet to be seen. As the story unfolds, fans and participants alike eagerly await responses from Vancouver Titans and Aspire, hoping for a resolution that respects the gravity of the allegations and the integrity of esports.

Valorant 7.0 Patch Notes: Deadlock, TDM, and a New Progression System

The much-anticipated Valorant 7.0 update is here, and it’s all set to revamp the gameplay dynamics with the introduction of a new Sentinel, a thrilling game mode, and a comprehensive progression system.

As the curtain raises for Episode 7 Act 1, we see the biggest patch in recent Valorant history, which presents new ways to play the game, including a fresh Team Deathmatch mode, a new Progression System, and the addition of Deadlock, a new Sentinel.

Valorant patch 7.0 update

New Valorant Sentinel: Deadlock

The highlight of the Valorant 7.0 update is the arrival of Deadlock, the fifth Sentinel. Originating from Norway, Deadlock’s abilities can be lethal when utilized appropriately, causing quite a stir among Valorant players. Her “instant win” ability has sparked both concern and excitement in the community, reshaping the game as we know it.

Team Deathmatch Mode In Valorant

The new Team Deathmatch mode, another exciting feature of the update, offers players a chance to warm up before the more serious Ranked matches. In this mode, 10 players divide into two teams, and the team with the most kills within a set time limit emerges victorious. This mode allows endless respawns and the use of Agent abilities, creating an engaging and fast-paced environment.

Progression System Overhaul

The revamped progression system provides a fresh approach to unlocking Agents and their themed items. Valorant players can now use the new in-game currency, Kingdom Credits, to unlock Agents and accessories, adding a new dimension to the game’s progression dynamics. The system includes daily rewards that grant players XP and Kingdom Credits based on their engagement with the game, providing a more rewarding experience. The newly introduced Kingdom Credits can be spent on a variety of items, from accessories to Agents and Agent Gear.

General and Miscellaneous Updates

The 7.0 update also includes general updates like added text to the Spray equip screen that indicates bound keybinds. Moreover, the game has undergone a thorough review of ability descriptions for grammar and consistency, ensuring players have a clear understanding of what each ability does.

Check out the full Valorant 7.0 patch notes, released by Riot Games:

General Updates

Spray Wheel

  • Added text to the Spray equip screen indicating your bound keybinds.

Agent Updates

Deadlock

  • Deadlock goes live!
    • Learn about her abilities on our Agents page.
    • Watch our latest Sentinel take on a mysterious creature below.

Misc.

  • We’ve conducted a pass on our ability descriptions in-game and on our website for grammar and consistency. These updated descriptions should be easier to understand, with clearer explanations for what each ability does.

Modes Updates

Team Deathmatch

  • Team Deathmatch goes live!

Progression Updates

Progression System Update

  • Daily Rewards
    • This new feature recognizes your engagement in the game with daily rewards. Every day that you play matches, you’ll earn progress on a Checkpoint Track. Each checkpoint on the track yields quantities of XP and our new in-game currency, Kingdom Credits. All game modes provide progress towards Daily Rewards except for Deathmatch.
    • Kingdom Credits can be spent on accessories, Agents, and Agent Gear.
  • Accessory Store
    • Use your Kingdom Credits to purchase accessories from previous Battlepasses, including:
      • Player Cards
      • Sprays
      • Titles
      • Gun Buddies
  • Agent Store
    • The Agent Store streamlines the Agent acquisition process. As always, you can use VP or Recruitment Tokens to unlock an Agent, and now you have a third option: unlocking them with Kingdom Credits.
  • Agent Recruitment Events
    • Each new Agent will have their own Agent Recruitment Event when they are launched. During these events, you’ll earn XP towards the new Agent automatically. As well, you won’t be able to unlock the new Agent with Kingdom Credits or Recruitment Tokens, but you can still use VP if you like.
    • If you don’t earn enough XP during a Recruitment Event to unlock an Agent, that Agent becomes available for purchase normally, after the Recruitment Event, in the Agent Store.
  • Agent Gear
    • All of your favorite Agent-themed gear is available for Kingdom Credits. For every Agent, there are now 10 Levels of Agent Gear instead of 10 Levels of Agent Contract. To get an Agent’s gear, you must first own the Agent, then unlock each Level of Agent Gear.
    • Level 5 used to unlock Agents. However, since we moved Agents into the Agent Store, Level 5 will now grant you a flat amount of Kingdom Credits. If you already have the Agent, however, you won’t get any Kingdom Credits at Level 5.
