Global Esports, the only Indian esports organization in the Valorant Franchise League, is reportedly considering potential roster changes. According to a report by WIN.gg, the organization is evaluating the replacement options for its star player Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar, who has been on the team since October 2020.
SkRossi to Reportedly Depart from Global Esports’ Valorant Roster
SkRossi has been a key player in Global Esports’ Valorant journey since its inception. He has played a crucial role in helping the organization acquire the franchise slot, and was one of the only two Indian players on the roster since the beginning of Franchise League. However, the player is now reportedly set to explore new opportunities, leaving a void in the team. Global Esports is currently considering its options and might be looking at talent within the Pacific region. SkRossi’s departure will leave the Indian organization with only one Indian player, Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury, on the team.
With teams in partnered Valorant leagues barred from signing new players until the upcoming month, the roster changes will start in the next few weeks across major regions. The timing aligns with the upcoming Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Offseason, where teams get the opportunity to recalibrate their rosters.
SkRossi’s Contributions in Global Esports
Global Esports, one of ten franchise teams from the Pacific region, has faced challenges in attaining success in the Pacific league over the past year. Despite this, SkRossi’s contribution to the team’s history in Valorant cannot be understated. Notably, during the most recent VCT Pacific league’s regular season, the team secured an eighth-place finish.
In terms of SkRossi’s individual performance, according to VLR.gg, he has maintained a commendable 1.02 overall rating and an average combat score of 225.5 in the Pacific league, which is at par with other prominent players. Additionally, with his massive fan following, largely from India, gave a massive morale boost to the team.
Global Esports’ journey to secure a spot in the VCT 2023 Masters Tokyo faced hurdles, ultimately leading to their participation in the Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ). Unfortunately, the team failed to secure a single map victory in the event, resulting in a second-last finish. Interestingly, according to VLR.gg, SkRossi was among the lower-rated players during the event, with 0.6 overall rating and an average combat score of 140.
Looking ahead, Global Esports is gearing up for the next VCT Pacific league, where it will re-engage with the region’s other franchised teams. However, SkRossi departure might not bode well with the Indian audience as he is one of the most prominent Indian Valorant players. It will be interesting to see how Global Esports navigate through this decision.
As Valorant Champions 2023 comes to an end, the community eagerly looks forward to the release of the heavily anticipated Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 update. The second Act of Episode 7 is set to bring a bunch of exciting new additions to the Riot Games competitive shooter, and if you haven’t been following our regular updates, then there’s a lot to take in.
Without further ado, let’s check out everything new that the next Valorant update will introduce to the game.
Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 Update: Map Changes
For starters, the Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 update will bring with it a number of welcome changes to Breeze, significantly reducing long-range encounters while forcing players to come up with creative executes when they try to take a bombsite. While the B-site has undergone some minor changes, the A-site and the middle area make the revamped Breeze almost an entirely new map.
What Valorant players are perhaps more excited about is the new map that Episode 7 Act 2 will bring to the title. The upcoming map, named ‘Sunset’, will be officially unveiled at the grand finals of Champions 2023.
— Mike | Valorant Leaks & News (@ValorLeaks) August 19, 2023
For the uninitiated, the grand finals of Valorant Champions 2023 will take place on August 26 at the Kia Forum in California, USA.
Players can expect Sunset to be officially added to Valorant with the release of Episode 7 Act 2 Update on August 29, 2023.
Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 Update: New Skin Bundle ‘Yeni’
Other than the map changes, a new skin bundle that will be added to the Valorant store with the next Act has also been leaked by data miners. The Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 Launch Bundle, named ‘Yeni’, will be featuring a Water Dragon theme on its skins. The Yeni bundle will feature skins for the following guns:
Riot Games have officially unveiled the patch notes for the upcoming Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 update, and it’s set to bring some significant changes to the competitive shooter.
We're making changes to 11 Agents to help boost game clarity, arriving with Patch 7.04 at the start of Episode 7 Act 2. The complete Patch Notes will go up next week—here's your preview:
It’s safe to say that the next Valorant Act will undoubtedly shake up the current meta of the title, as it aims to introduce a number of nerfs to some of the most popular Agents in the competitive scene.
From the initial looks at the Episode 7 Act 2 patch notes, it seems that the developers intend to reduce the chaos caused by utility dumping and large scale ultimates on the battlefield. The changes included in the next update will reduce the overall effectiveness of over half the Valorant roster, with many of them having their required ultimate points increased.
According to a blog post by Riot, these changes are “sharply focused on increasing game state clarity” by making adjustments to the frequency of large AoE ultimates, the active utility time, and the HP of shootable utility.
Jeff Landa, Community Lead at Riot Games, said in a statement, “We also believe the Ultimate cost updates below better align large area, high-impact ults with the pressure they place on the enemy, creating both a better pacing of the round-defining abilities and a clearer choice competition between high and low cost ults.”
Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 Patch Notes: All Changes in Update 7.04
Here’s a list of all the changes that Valorant patch 7.04 will bring to the game, as revealed in the official patch notes by Riot Games:
Reducing the frequency of large area of effect of ultimates
Reducing the amount of time utility is active in the world
Reducing the HP of shootable utility
We also believe the Ultimate cost updates below better align large area, high-impact ults with the pressure they place on the enemy, creating both a better pacing of the round-defining abilities and a clearer choice competition between high and low cost ults.
Though many of these changes are subtle, We hope all together they improve gamestate clarity and the sense that you have even more opportunities for your skill to shine through.

SKYE
Skye has become a keystone of the current meta through her blend of recon and space taking utility. While we like that she can potentially unlock new comps through this combo, we think she has lacked clear weaknesses compared to her peers given the wide range of value she brings. These changes reduce the distance in which Guiding Light can provide info. Changes also helps reduce the amount of time enemies need to worry about her flash when she flies it a great distance without activating it. We’ve also reduced the health of Trailblazer and Seekers to make them slightly easier for enemies to deal with, Skye’s ultimate cost will increase to better reflect the high level of baseline value it provides.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on these updates to see if they push the choice competition between Skye and her peers into a healthy place, or if further updates are needed in either direction.

ASTRA
We’ve noticed a large power disparity between Astra’s Gravity Well and Nova Pulse. Our goal is to create clearer use cases for both abilities: Gravity Well will be Astra’s tool for controlling space, and Nova Pulse for quickly affecting an area. At the same time, we hope to reduce some of the oppressive and long duration pressure Astra’s stars produce by providing enemies a chance to push past activated Gravity Well during its windup period if they act quickly.
We’re updating Cosmic Divide to help clarify the overall game state by eliminating uncertainty around whether you or your enemies are close enough to the wall to be heard. We also think this gives Astra’s wall a clearer power profile for her and her allies to play around.

JETT
Since thelast timewe released changes to Jett, she has continued to be a mainstay of both competitive and professional play. We like that the dash changes in 4.08 pushed her to be more deliberate and tactical, but still feel that Jett is often given more reliable power windows and generous tuning than other Duelists and Agents in general.
Our goal with these changes is further sharpening Jett as the aggressive, high precision Duelist by increasing the intentionality of her ability usage and power windows. We want to maintain her unique ability to break through chokes and dash onto site, while reducing her defensive power-holding angles and her ability to reactively undo tactical mistakes with her array of quickly cast abilities.
We believe these changes align Jett’s overall power level and place in theTactical Cyclewith our other Agents, while maintaining Jett’s unique role and fantasy on the VALORANT roster. To help explain our thought process, we’ve provided context on how each change aims to support these goals, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on how these changes land at all levels of play.

Jett
Tailwind (E)
Dash window decreased 12s>>>7.5s
At 12s, Jett could often find value activating her dash without clear intention or make incorrect calls but still have time to find another use for the dash. Shortening this window pushes Jett to be more deliberate with her calls and reduces Tailwind’s power at defensively holding angles, while minimally impacting her ability to proactively use the dash to break onto a site.
Activation windup increased 0.75s>>>1s
Increasing Tailwind’s windup should promote proactive use by reducing Jett’s ability to activate it reactively when caught off guard or in the middle of a fight and successfully escape.
Cloudburst (C)
Duration decreased 4.5s>>>2.5s
Time to re-equip gun takes slightly longer after using the ability.
We want to reduce some of the persistent safety Jett gets dashing into or escaping with smokes, sharpening Cloudburst to be a fast but powerful tool that forces players to be quick and precise with their decisions.
Updraft (Q)
Charges decreased 2>>>1
With two Updrafts, we’ve seen moments where Jett escapes situations where they’ve been tactically outplayed by throwing enemies off by relying on Updraft’s unpredictable movement. We hope to reduce some of the unhealthy movement extremes Updraft can produce and increase the importance of using it at the right time.
Blade Storm (X)
Ultimate points increased 7>>>8
Jett’s ultimate has proven one of the most flexible, reliable and economically powerful gun replacement Ultimates because of its lack of a timer, reset on kills, and harmony with Jett’s movement. This change should bring Blade Storm up to the same cost of comparable weapon ults, such as the Tour De Force and Showstopper.
Four former players from Velocity Gaming’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) roster have faced bans on FACEIT due to suspected cheating. The bans were enacted on 25th August 2023, and have surprised the entire gaming community. These developments come as a significant blow to the players and their team, especially given Velocity Gaming’s notable presence in multiple gaming titles. Notably, Velocity Gaming’s contract with the players ended on 18th August.
FormerVelocity Gaming CS:GO Roster Banned Players
Following are the players that have faced ban on FACEIT:
Bodhisattwa “The_Guru” Panday
Tamajit “Logan” Ghosal
Muhammad “Syahhftw” Shyarul Daneal Bin Arif
Nairit “L0sttt” Banerjee
The bans issued vary in duration, with L0sttt and Logan receiving bans for two years – from 25th August 2023 to 25th August 2025. In a more severe punishment, Syahhftw and THE-GURU have been slapped with indefinite bans, casting a shadow of uncertainty over their gaming careers. Amidst these bans, interestingly, there has been no official response from either Velocity Gaming or the players involved.
For those unfamiliar, FACEIT is a well-established platform in competitive gaming. It provides a space for players to engage in various esports titles, offering organized tournaments, leagues, and matches. Additionally, the platform also offers an anti-cheat system that is designed to maintain a fair and balanced playing field by detecting and preventing cheating in games. In this case, it seems that FACEIT’s anti-cheat mechanism might have detected activities that breach fair play standards.
Velocity Gaming is one of the most prominent names in the esports community. It features or featured rosters in various titles like Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Valorant. Unfortunately, it has found itself navigating uncharted waters, and the ban has raised questions on the organization.
It is important to note that Manoj “Sentinel” Kashyap, Velocity Gaming’s Founder, stands as a prominent personality within the Indian gaming landscape. Notably, he has contributed immensely towards the development of the Indian gaming ecosystem. Additionally, he has been an advocate for fair gameplay in the gaming community. As this situation unfolds, it will be interesting to observe how Velocity Gaming responds and how these events might influence the future of the players and the team.
A recent study by Precise TV and Giraffe Insights found that YouTube is currently the most popular social networking site among younger people, especially kids.
According to the report, kids like YouTube over other channels. Despite numerous attempts by competing social media sites to overtake YouTube as the most popular platform for sharing videos, YouTube has maintained its position as the top option. 2,000 American children between the ages of 2 and 12 participated in the poll, which looked at their viewing patterns, preferred content producers and subjects, and responses to commercials.
This survey emphasises how popular YouTube continues to be as a medium for kids to interact with content.
43% of children chose YouTube as their preferred social media platform, with 21% of the kids choosing TikTok as their second choice. Even in a study that was restricted to gaming-related content, YouTube remained the clear favorite. Impressively, 76% of kids said YouTube was where they mostly watched video games.
Fascinatingly, Twitch came in third position in this particular study, followed by Facebook in second place, which received 40% of the votes. Kick, a relatively new streaming service, managed to take fourth place despite the fact that 20% of kids said they use for gaming content.
In the realm of gaming, performance is paramount. For players venturing into the dark world of “Diablo 4”, understanding the game’s frame rate can significantly enhance the gaming experience.
For those unfamiliar, FPS, or frames per second is a measure of how smoothly a game runs. In “Diablo 4”, like many other games, tracking FPS can be crucial. An FPS tracker provides real-time data on the game’s performance, helping players identify areas where the game might be lagging. This can be particularly useful for those aiming to optimize their settings for the best possible gameplay experience.
How to Show FPS in Diablo 4?
Activating the FPS counter in “Diablo 4” is straightforward. Players simply need to press Ctrl+R simultaneously. This action will display the frame rate tracker at the bottom-left corner of the screen, providing a live feed of the game’s current frame rate. To deactivate the counter, pressing Ctrl+R twice will do the trick. Additionally, pressing the key combination once more will activate the latency counter, another useful tool for online gaming.
While PC gamers can benefit from the FPS tracking feature, console players might feel left out. Currently, the FPS tracking feature is exclusive to the PC version of “Diablo 4”. Console players, however, should ensure a stable internet connection for optimal performance.
Diablo 4, the latest installment in the iconic action RPG series, offers players a plethora of quests to immerse themselves in. One such quest, the Traveler’s Prayer, stands out for its simplicity yet intriguing mechanics. Let’s dive into a step-by-step guide to successfully completing this quest.
The Traveler’s Prayer side quest, suitable for beginners and recommended for level 7+ players, is a swift way to accumulate experience points, gold, +20 Fractured Peaks Renown, and an Elixir Cache.
How to Complete Traveler’s Prayer in Diablo 4?
To initiate the quest, players should head to the Hog’s Head in Yelesna, located in the Gale Valley area of the Fractured Peaks zone in Sanctuary. Here, they’ll find a Pilgrim’s Letter with a cryptic message hinting at the quest’s objective. The subsequent steps involve:
Leaving The Hog’s Head and following the quest marker to the shrine.
Traversing the Zeleny Lowlands and passing through Murmuring Mill.
Engaging with potential enemies, such as Ghouls.
Upon reaching the shrine and clearing the area of adversaries, players should open their Emote wheel and select the ‘Thanks’ option. This action will reveal a chest, marking the quest’s completion.
Successfully completing the Traveler’s Prayer quest rewards players with experience points, gold, +20 Fractured Peaks Renown, and an Elixir Cache. This cache contains valuable items like the Weak Elixir of Poison Resistance and the Weak Acrobatics Elixir, enhancing the player’s in-game capabilities.
Sony Interactive Entertainment, the powerhouse behind PlayStation, has made a strategic move by acquiring Audeze, a renowned high-end headphone manufacturer. This acquisition is set to redefine the audio experience for PlayStation enthusiasts. Let’s delve into the details of this partnership.
Sony’s primary objective behind this acquisition is to elevate the audio experience associated with PlayStation games. Audeze, known for its patented technologies and unique planar magnetic drivers, promises to deliver an unparalleled sound experience for both consumers and recording professionals. This collaboration signifies Sony’s commitment to innovation and quality in the gaming audio sector.
While being a part of the Sony family, Audeze will maintain its operational independence. The company will continue to produce products for various platforms. However, the added advantage is that Audeze will now benefit from being integrated into the PlayStation ecosystem. The exact terms of the acquisition are still undisclosed.

This suggests that the collaboration with Audeze has been in the pipeline for a while. Moreover, these headsets will leverage a novel technology named PlayStation Link, ensuring low latency and lossless audio, especially when paired with the PS5 and the new PlayStation Portal game streaming device.
