Valorant Give Back Bundle 2024: Skins, Release Date & More

0

If you have purchased skins in Valorant, you know Riot has complete control over the selection of skins inside a skin bundle. However, in many cases, the community doesn’t like the developers’ choice of the skins inside a bundle. That gap gets eliminated to some extent by the Valorant Give Back Bundle that comes out every year.

Valorant Give Back Bundle is a skin bundle that includes skins selected by the community. The selection is done by voting where you can also vote for your favorite skin. Riot claims that 50% of skin and 100% of accessories revenues will go to Riot Games Social Impact Fund.

What is the Riot Games Social Impact Fund?

According to Riot Games, the Riot Games Social Impact Fund is a charitable venture fund that makes donations to international nonprofit organizations. Riot Games has partnered with ImpactAssets and the fund.

Through our social impact programs, we hope to contribute positively to causes that deeply resonate to our players and our communities.

Your Dota 2 Inventory Might Be Causing You Performance Issues & FPS Drops

Do you feel that you’re not getting the same amount of FPS in Dota 2 as you did before? Turns out, your Dota 2 inventory might be the culprit behind this.

Your collection of Arcanas, Immortals, and Hero sets accumulated over the years could be significantly impacting your game’s performance, and the only apparent solution might entail creating a new account.

In a recent Reddit thread, user ‘Kuroyukihime1‘ compared their Dota 2 FPS between an old and a new account, and the results are truly astonishing.

As reported by the Reddit user, creating a new Dota 2 account appears to have a substantial impact on the in-game FPS. In this specific case, the user experienced a remarkable 67% increase in FPS while standing idle on the Mid lane, using the same GPU and game settings as before.

Dota 2 FPS Experiment: Old Account vs New Account

Here are the detailed results of the user’s experiment:

  • Old Dota 2 Account: 118 FPS Average
  • New Dota 2 Account: 197 FPS Average
  • Difference in average FPS: 79 FPS (67%)

The Reddit post has quickly become a cause of concern within the game’s community, as the difference in the FPS counts between the two accounts is certainly striking.

Fortunately, the Dota 2 developers seem to have taken note of this issue. Jeff Hill, Senior Software Engineer at Valve, was swift to respond to the aforementioned Reddit thread.

“Oh wow, that’s not a small difference at all!” Hill said in his reply. “If you could collect an ETL (Event Trace Log) file while idling on the new account and the normal account and share them that would be super helpful.”

Dota 2 fans have urged Valve to fix this problem at the earliest.

Twitch Star Ninja Announces He’s Cancer-Free After Melanoma Diagnosis

A week after revealing that he has been diagnosed with skin, streamer Tyler Blevins aka Ninja has announced that he is cancer-free after recent medical reports which led to his dermatologist clearing him.

According to his recent tweet, Ninja’s dermatologist cleared him after his excision was successful and declared him cancer-free. Previously, tests suggested signs of mild atypia but a week later, a complete biopsy has completely dismissed said concerns deeming him officially “cancer-free”.

Just got the news from my dermatologist, Great news x 2! Excision was successful with clear margins. Lesion biopsied nearby showed only mild atypia and was entirely removed with the biopsy. As of right now, I am officially cancer-free ^_^ thank you all for the prayers and kind words this last week. Love you all.” he revealed.

Ninja’s condition came to light after he discovered a mole at the bottom of his feet and when doctors suggested a thorough checkup, it was revealed to be cancer which was dismissed a week later. This speaks volumes as to why we should treat the smallest irregularities in our body with more importance than we generally do.

Ninja concluded his announcement by thanking everyone who supported him on his cancer journey and raised awareness against a gruesome disease like cancer.

Dota 2 Neutral Items Guide: Everything You Need To Know

The addition of Neutral Items to Dota 2 via the 7.23 patch marked one of the most significant changes in the MOBA’s history. Not only did it completely revolutionize the way how the game is played, but it also made the late game a lot more chaotic and entertaining at the same time.

Initially, the developers introduced 62 neutral items divided into 5 tiers that dropped at various points in the game, with the final tier of items only dropping once 70 minutes had progressed within a game. However, throughout the patches introduced to Dota 2, Neutral Items have also undergone significant changes, with several new items being introduced and others being removed

The devs have repeatedly made changes to the Neutral Items in attempts to improve the overall balance of the game and reduce the randomness that players used to face when picking Neutral Items in Dota 2.

Currently, Neutral Items remain one of the most important aspects of Dota 2’s core gameplay, capable of deciding the outcome of even the most tense games when used properly by the players.

What are Neutral Items in Dota 2?

The Dota 2 7.23 update, which was shipped to the game in November 2019, introduced several important changes to the game, with the addition of Neutral Items being the most prominent among them.

The update enabled Neutral Creeps in Dota to drop exclusive items that couldn’t be purchased from the shopkeeper or sold to gain gold. Neutral Items progressively enhance as the game advances, with higher-tier items dropping in the late game compared to lower-tier items dropping earlier.

Initially, the Neutral Item drop mechanics had an increased amount of randomness associated with them that the developers have managed to minimize over the years. However, the fundamentals of Neutral Items remain unchanged.

How Have Neutral Items Changed Since Their Release?

The changes to the Neutral Items have significantly impacted the overall gameplay of Dota 2 since their introduction to the game.

For starters, patch 7.24 introduced a dedicated Neutral Item slot to the players’ inventories that restricted players to having only one Neutral Item equipped at any given time.

Several restrictions were also placed on how and when Neutral Items would drop. For instance, Neutral Items no longer drop if there is an enemy of the killing player within 600 radius of the killed neutral unit.

Another important but recent change to Dota 2 is the introduction of Neutral Tokens via patch 7.33. Neutral Creeps can no longer drop Neutral Items but drop these tokens instead, which can be claimed by the players and then be converted into a Neutral Item. Upon collecting a token, players are presented with a selection of five Neutral Items to choose from. These tokens and the items acquired through them cannot be shared among teammates.

Other than the aforementioned changes, throughout updates, adjustments to the drop rates and timings of Neutral Items have been made to foster balance in the game, allowing teams that have fallen behind to catch up.

Dota 2 Neutral Item Drop Rates & Timings

At the time of writing, Neutral Tokens only start to drop once 7 minutes have passed in the game. Tier 1 Tokens have a 14% chance to drop from killing neutrals, while all the other tiers only have a 10% chance to drop. Ancient Camps have doubled Neutral Token drop rates.

Do note that the Neutral Item drop chances are calculated by pseudo-random distribution, and rolled individually for each team and each tier. Higher-tiered tokens are rolled first.

The specific timings of Neutral Token drops are listed below in the following table:

Dota 2 Neutral Items List: All Neutral Items That You Can Get
