Fortnite Reveals Removed Locations in Chapter 5 Season 3

0

Fortnite has set a trend where it likes to make changes to its Battle Royale map with every seasonal update. This is done to keep the game fresh and engaging for the players. With the launch of Chapter 5 Season 3 being on the horizon, the gaming community was left speculating as to what kind of changes Fortnite was planning to bring to the game. Thankfully, we now have the answer you were looking for.

A screenshot shared in a post by the X user @NotPaloleaks has been making rounds in the Fortnite community. The screenshot shows Fortnite ES sharing an image on their WhatsApp Community chat depicting four locations and asking everyone to vote on which of those locations will be missed the most.

Here are the locations mentioned by Fortnite ES:

  • Mount Olympus
  • Fencing Fields
  • The Underworld
  • Ruined Reels

Since Fortnite ES asked which location will be “missed,” it is safe to assume that the locations mentioned above are going to be removed and some new locations are going to be introduced to the game. No information is known further as Fortnite is yet to release a detailed announcement.

We already know that the Battle Royale map will be affected by an imminent sandstorm as seen in the Fortnite x Fallout Teaser. There is no way to know the exact changes at the moment but we can certainly say that Fortnite is known to justify the changes they make to the map. Locations don’t just vanish into thin air, they will have a story behind why it was removed. It would be exciting to see what kind of story is Fortnite trying to spin here.

Microsoft to Acquire Valve for $16 Billion: Reports

0

Popular streamer Dior has revealed that Microsft is preparing an offer of $16 Billion to acquire the largest video game distribution service for PC i.e. Steam.

According to Dior, the offer comes in at a $80 Billion Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation for Valve where Microsft is preparing a $16 Billion offer that too all cash. Microsoft has always been focused on the gaming industry but never managed to penetrate it at a scale that it would have liked to acquiring Valve would be a move that does the trick.

The Xbox has always lagged behind Sony’s PlayStation and despite being the developer of the most popular OS in the world, Microsoft hasn’t exactly been successful in developing games for Windows either.

If there is any truth in these rumors we might see a complete shift in the gaming industry given Microsoft already hit the jackpot with the Xbox Game Pass and the idea of having Steam games under a subscription model would draw more subscribers than ever before.

Valve boasts a revenue of $13 Billion which would make the deal a bit difficult to go through at the current price point but given the amount in its entirety is the cash component, we might see Microsoft acquiring the company.

Valorant Patch 8.11: New Map Pool and All Maps Unlocked

0

With the recent announcement of Andy Ho as their new Executive Producer, Riot Games gave us a glimpse of what to expect in the Valorant patch 8.11 anticipated to be released in early June. This update will change the map pool for competitive game mode and unlock all maps for other game modes. Keep reading to know the exact details.

All maps unlocked

Yes, folks, you read it right. All maps made for Valorant to date will be unlocked. While the competitive part of the game will still have a map pool, you will see all the maps available to be played in the following game modes:

  • Escalation
  • Swiftplay
  • Spike Rush
  • Unrated

Map rotation for Competitive

After a lot of complaints from the gaming community, Haven will be returning to the map pool. The maps leaving the competitive map pool are Breeze and Split.

Here is a list of maps that will be showing up in the map pool after patch 8.11:

  • Ascent
  • Bind
  • Haven
  • Icebox
  • Lotus
  • Sunset

While Riot Games has not announced the official date for the patch to be released, they have hinted at a release in early June. With features like the Replay system also being in development for Valorant, it would be exciting to see what Riot Games is planning for the future of the game.

How to Increase Stamina in Wuthering Waves?

Stamina is a huge limiting factor in Wuthering Waves. The game developed by Kuro Games, starts you out with 140 stamina points. While this limiting factor can hinder your progress in exploring the map, there is a way to increase your stamina points.

Why do you need to increase stamina in Wuthering Waves

While exploring the map, you will find yourself in situations where you might need to swim, climb walls, or fly great distances with the help of your glider. All these activities consume a considerable amount of stamina, making it necessary to improve your stamina numbers.

How to increase your stamina in Wuthering Waves

Fortunately, there is a way we can increase yourr stamina in Wuthering Waves. The game provides you with an item called as ‘Force Release Component.’ You will be rewarded with a ‘Force Release Component’ when you upgrade your ‘Data Bank’ levels. Each ‘Force Release Component’ when consumed, adds 10 points to your stamina. It is important to note that you will only receive the ‘Force Release Component’ for the first 10 levels of Data Bank. This means that your original tally of 140 stamina points can only be boosted to a max of 240 points.

As mentioned earlier, using the glider will consume your stamina. Now think about it, by upgrading your stamina points, you have almost doubled the distance you can fly with your glider. With that being said, go level up your ‘Data Bank’ so you can explore and conquer the world of Wuthering Waves without worrying about your stamina.

Riot Set to Remove Map Pool Restrictions in Valorant

Riot announced on May 22 that every map would now be accessible in modes other than competitive. This implies that gamers will also be able to access Pearl and Fracture, two maps they haven’t seen in a long time outside the competitive game mode.

Riot Games has just announced that starting with patch 8.11 all Valorant maps will be playable in Unrated, Escalation, Swiftplay, and Spike Rush. This announcement follows a previous one claiming that the competitive map pool will undergo rotation where the new upcoming map will take a spot.

“We have decided to remove map pool restrictions from Swiftplay, Spike Rush, Escalation, and Unrated queues. Starting 8.11, these modes will have all Valorant maps,” said Valorant Product Manager Tiffy Tsay. “We’re listening and testing these changes based on your feedback and so we still want to make sure you have the tools to practice.

The lack of options in other game modes often made the game boring or so claimed the community. Having all the maps in other modes lets players practice in any way they feel comfortable in.

One of the most requested features the map veto system is still far from reality but suffice it to say that it will significantly improve the competitive experience in the game as certain maps are generally avoided by casual players. Although the devs have committed to making improvements according to the request of the community members, we cannot say for sure whether this will come to fruition.
