ELEAGUE kicks off with Luminosity ahead of the charts, Liquid disappoints

As we begin to experience the $1.2 million tournament by WME| IMG, ELEAGUE started with a fresh and very impressive node with Australians showing strong presence against Luminosity and almost beat them in the first match of ELEAGUE Season 1.

The First game of the tournament was Between Luminosity Gaming vs Renegades

The First map was Cobblestone and Renegades was off to a good start by taking the pistol round that also followed a knife kill from SpunJ. This was followed by two more anti-eco rounds which was later denied by Luminosity in the rifle rounds and the score tied up to a 3-3 after couple of following gun rounds went into Luminosity’s favor. Renegades tried hard and managed to pull off the last round of the half with AZR’s ace and trailed 6-9 at the halftime. In the second half pistol round Luminosity easily takes the pistol round but Renegades didn’t lose hope and did a great comeback by equaling the scoreline to 15-15. The Brazilians somehow managed to win the overtime and won the first map 19-17.

The Second map was Train and Luminosity pulled off a great pistol round and was leading 4-0 in the ct-side. This time Luminosity didn’t give a single chance to Renegades to comeback once again. Fallen with his awp went insane in the first half and the scoreline by the halftime was 15-0. The Brazilians won the map 16-0 and declared an easy win over Renegades in their first match of the ELEAGUE.

The Second Game was Between Cloud9 and Team Liquid

The first map that was decided was Dust2. Cloud9 easily pulled off the first pistol round as CT but Liquid later came back and equaled the scoreline to 4-4. Somehow Liquid got ahead in the halftime by 8-7 to Liquid. But then n0thing stepped up and pulled of a great pistol round clutching it in a 3v5 scenario. From there Cloud9 became unstoppable and pulled of the map by shutting down Liquid with a scoreline of 16-11.

The Second map of the match was Cache and it started pretty well for Cloud9 as Stewie2k pulled off a 1v3 Usp clutch. Liquid once again tried their best to comeback but they were soon shutted down by the two heroes of Cloud9 n0thing and Stewie2k. The map ended with a scoreline of 16-2 in the favour of Cloud9.

The first map was again Dust2 and Liquid pulled off the first pistol round with the help of EliGe and Adren but later their SMG buy didn’t go as expected and Luminosity made a great comeback and started winning the game 8-1. Later on Liquid tried their best to pull off some rounds and the map too but the Brazilians didn’t really let them do it and shut them down in a 16-6 win on map one.

The second map was Cobblestone and Liquid’s Hiko managed to pull off a great pistol round and Liquid then followed with a lead of 6-1 in T Side. Liquid dominated Luminosity in the first half and the scoreline was 12-3 for Team Liquid. But then something happened that wasn’t expected Luminosity somehow pulled off the second pistol round and then started to comeback and Liquid were the ones on a bad economy. The Tables turned and Luminosity won a 4v2 round a clinched the second map of the match by the scoreline of 16-14.

All the matches on day 1 of the ELEAGUE Season1 were pretty intense and exciting. All the teams gave each other a great fight and gave their best to win the match. Luminosity Gaming won both their matches on day 1 of the tournament and are Currently on top of their Group A followed by Cloud9, Renegades and Team Liquid. We will keep you updated for the rest of the match, stay glued.

India did performance good but not well enough to win a title, the lineup was Ritz / Ribbi / MithilF / Manan / sMx  which was led by Karthik ‘Catalyst’ Rao, the team manager. However, this time around, the format has been changed and there are no managers but captains deciding the lineups for their respective nations. It will be intense to see who all will be in the lineup choose by Tejas ‘ace’ Sawant, since there are too many players competing at the same level.

The top most players in India, all will be called for try-outs where only the best ones will be selected to represent their nation, we’ll wait and see how well it goes with ‘Ace’ who has himself being an experienced player in the CS:GO Indian community.

NVIDIA GTX 1080 Pricing in India is disappointing?

0

The GFX developer giant NVIDIA has released the pricing of its latest addition to the Pascal portfolio, Nvidia GTX 1080 and it is way above than we could have imagined? Nvidia GTX 1080 pricing in India has been settled approximately at INR 63,000.

NVDA_GeForce_GTX1080_Founders-710x434

There’s a catch however, customers in India will be entitled to be able to only buy the ‘Founders Edition’ at the initial stage whereas regular editions may as well be available at a later time somewhere around in the month of July-August.

The cards will be available through the authorized board partners, Zotac, ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI and joining the list would be Biostar and Inno3D. Although the prices are marketed as one of the most price-sensitive product in the market compared to the features and specs, the card still remains for the people able to drill hole in the wall to get some cash.

NVIDIA GTX 1080 Pricing in India

How much the pricing should have been?

As basic as the calculation seems, the pricing of the ‘Founders Edition’ when launched was at, $699 which is, roughly Rs. 47,000. And the duty on graphic cards is calculated at 18.5% (presumably comes under ‘Other Computer Parts’) hence the duty comes around, Rs. 8695. Now here comes the glitch in the system, the $699 marker is according to India and not the Import duty officer, if the officer assess this at 800$ or at any even number, the duty has to be paid on the assessed amount and not the actual MRP mentioned.

The NVIDIA GTX 980 pricing in India can be simply demonstrated as;

MRP of a Unit = $699
After Conversion to INR = Rs. 47,000 (approx due to the fluctuations in the economy)
Duty & Taxes = @18.5% = 8695
Presumable MRP in India = Rs.(47000 + 8695) = Rs. 55,695

The pricing is not much of disappointment and surely not as expensive as it seems to be because of the duty charges and different types of taxes in India. The calculation demonstrated above might not be accurate, we might have missed a heading but certainly the pricing goes this way around.

Eventually you will be in the process of breaking your bank and paying a whooping Rs. 63000 (appx.) for the card which will be shipped in the first week of June.

Brutality wins over Scorchers 2-0 in the first ever NVIDIA India FPS Battle series

2

NVIDIA India kicked off with a latest series, FPS Battles which featured two top Indian teams battling it out for the pride where Team Brutality beat Team Scorchers with a 2-0 (16-2 in de_overpass and 16-10 on de_mirage) strong board in a best-of-three match-up.

We witnessed an amazing series of maps between India’s top two CS:GO teams with outcome of Team Brutality coming out on top of the best-of-three arrangement. Significantly, this was one of the unique battles which was supported and organized by NVIDIA India with SoStronk servers adding up the cheese. The match was casted by the CS:GO community veteran Bleh, joined in by casual streamer Captain Arya.

Team Brutality was playing with, V3nom, RiX, Ad1, fox and Excali as a stand-in. And on the other side, Scorchers had their full lineup after they recently got a new player, the lineup, Ace, Manan, MithilF, PokerF and Ribbiz.

Overpass statistics. © SoStronk.

The first map, de_overpass was started well off with Brutals taking the pistol and the following rounds with ease having no players dead on anti ecos and were comfortably able to grab another couple of rounds, the scorelines headed towards 4-0. Shockingly though, PokerF pulled of a massive play with a P250 taking down three Brutal riflers back-to-back which helped Scorchers gain their first round on the board. They couldn’t follow it up and Brutality were able to eventually come back stronger in the sixth round. MithilF’s strong presence on B site charmed some stars but only to make it look darker when V3nom replied back with two quick kills taking the round back under control before stronking a 6-1 comfortable lead. With a followup beautiful 1v2 clutch by Excali which even steered the scoreboard 7-1.

Ace however, after lots of hard-work and made convincing attempts to carry his team, was unfortunate to do so even with him going massive on certain rounds. The score on the first half ended up with Scorchers winning only two rounds which were the only rounds they won in the whole map and Brutality clinched the victory comfortably with a 16-2 scoreline led by the stand-in Excali who showed us some quality CS:GO shots!

Mirage statistics. ©SoStronk.
Mirage statistics. ©SoStronk.

The second map started with a different tone with Scorchers getting off the mark very first round with additional followups but only later denied by Excali once again who took a massive triple kill in an eco rounds, the first round for Brutality. They won the second and the following round which destroyed Scorchers economy, forcing them to eco on the fifth round with scores tied 2-2. There was no looking back for Brutals henceforth a 7-2 strong lead before the first phase. The first half concluded on a regular 9 round lead for the counter terrorists, with Scorchers hoping to win the pistol to bring it back from 6-9 in their favor. The second half of the game was even more reluctant on Scorchers part as they were being completely denied by Brutals, V3nom took the charge for the map only to rip off the opponents in a fashionable way, leading duals, clutches triples and quad kills, V3nom made his presence felt in the second map, steered his team to success on the second map with 16-10 and in a much stronger way.

Overall, Nvidia India FPS Battles did turn out to be successful with 200+ concurrent viewers on the stream and over thousands of impressions and interactions. Scorchers had all the support from the CSGO fans in India, unfortunately they couldn’t please the base. It seemed quiet a few times that they had communication problems, however their individual performances did impress the audiences as they had an exciting Friday evening experience from the likes of Ace and PokerF, and were done for today. Brutality all-together came-up as a team even though with 2 stand-ins to win the first ever Nvidia India FPS Battle series comfortably with 2-0 figures, declining the need of a third map whatsoever. And Bleh, who deploys eargasm to the viewers!

We thank Nvidia India for hosting the party and SoStronk which served meals, without their awesome tech the fest wouldn’t have been possible.

WESA’s first exit, FaZe Clan calls it quit

0

As reported by IGN, FaZe Clan is all set to follow an exit from the very controversial organization, World Esports Association – WESA. The exit comes after the team was forced to sign an agreement of exclusivity which would bar them from participating else where, hence the exit.

What more shocking is, the organization which took a bold turn and played against the odds were reportedly fined $50,000 for penalties as they didn’t show consent towards WESA.

World Esports Association

FaZe Clan was among the several other top tier organizations who were being called as the founding members of the World Esports Association. The coming week, FaZe would officially affirm their departure after confirming the same with WESA acting commissioner, Petro Fringuelli. This comes after ESL, the brainchild being WESA was forcing organizations to sign up the exclusive agreements before FaZe showed disagreements.

From Reddit community even, things weren’t looking stronger from the very beginning, they were raised eyebrows ever since the WESA launch prototype image was reportedly leaked. The question however remains about the remaining members of the association on how they will be moving ahead with this exclusivity if the reports are meant to be true.
