OpTic Gaming signs JuGi, snappi and ruggah

1

OpTic Gaming has signed Jacob “JuGi” Hansen and Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer from Heroic along with North’s former coach Casper “ruggah” Due to form a complete Danish lineup. In this case, Shahzeeb “ShahZaM” Khan, Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz and coach Chet “ImAPet” Singh have been benched and the organization is helping them to seek new opportunities elsewhere.

OpTic Gaming ranks third in the North American division of ESL Pro League Season 7. According to ESL rules, participating teams can only make two substitutions during the season. Hence, signing JUGi and Snappi will not prevent OpTiC from playing in the next stage.

JUGi did not perform on the professional stage since March 1, 2018, due to personal reasons. His return to the team had taken place on April 24. Snappi has been acting as coordinator of Heroic since August 2017. Previously, the composition was invited to CS:GO Asia Championship.

Adam “friberg” Friberg will be standing-in for Heroic until the end of ESL Pro League Season 7 and he has already joined the ESEA roster.

With this move, Optic Gaming’s roster looks as follows:

Team Liquid acquires TACO from SK Gaming

1

The long-held trade between SK Gaming and TACO finally concluded its final stage this morning. The Brazilian warrior who was with SK Gaming’s lineup for two years has now been successfully traded to Team Liquid.

“Taco has been an integral part of the SK Gaming CS: GO roster for the last two years and it’s always been a real pleasure working with him. He’s a great teammate, player, and person to be around thanks to his dedication and bright humor. We’re very proud of everything we’ve accomplished together during his time with us and we’re sad to see him go. However, we respect his wish to do so and have quickly come to terms with the team he chose to continue his career in”, says Alexander Müller, Managing Director at SK Gaming.

Whereas, TACO officially stated:

SK was my first professional organization and playing for that legendary tag was a pleasure. I’m happy that I could help them to keep their status as one of the most successful organizations in the world. A big hug to every friend and person in SK that helped me in these years, especially Alex, Jens, Martin, Valeri, Nuno, Jan, etc. Thank you!

TACO was recently benched from SK, following which the German roster picked up Stewie2K from Cloud9, who are now camping in North America. TACO had also mentioned that he will join a North American team, which has now been matured in the form of Team Liquid.

Marvel’s Spiderman is coming to PS4 in September 2018

1

Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man will launch on Sept. 7, 2018, the studio announced. The news comes out of the cover story from this month’s issue of Game Informer magazine, which offers plenty of other new details about the game.

The release date makes Spider-Man one of PlayStation 4’s big tentpoles this fall. The console exclusive is also the first Spider-Man game in years; although it’s not related to 2017’s excellent Spider-Man: Homecoming film, the new release certainly capitalizes on the reinvigorated interest in one of Marvel’s most beloved heroes.

Also detailed in Game Informer are various details about the open-world action game’s missions, combat and crafting options. There are also, of course, side quests to check out — hopefully including some pizza delivery or photography assignments. Sure, this Spider-Man game looks a bit more serious than classics like Spider-Man 2, but Peter Parker’s alter ego is nothing if not down to clown.

While there still revolves a question of the game’s launch on PC / Windows platforms.

The story originally appeared on Polygon.

FaZe Clan: Xizt to replace olofmeister for 2 months

1

With recent semi-final finishes and not being able to grab the trophy, FaZe Clan isn’t happy with their recent performance. FaZe Clan lost to Virtus.Pro at the semi-finals in Hungary at V4 Future Sports Festival. Since then, Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer has decided to step down from the active roster due to ‘personal reasons’.

Further, FaZe Clan revealed through it’s official Twitter handle that the Swedish legend, Richard “Xizt” Landström would replace Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer for a period of two months. During a practice scrim between FaZe Clan and BIG, Richard “Xizt” Landström was already seen playing for FaZe Clan. Whereas, Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer has been offline on Steam since past seven days.

According to neL, Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer has been benched due to personal reasons and conflict of interest among the team. FaZe Clan also announced that it has already signed Richard “Xizt” Landström and he has been added to FaZe’s ESEA roster.

The 27-year-old has been away from the pro scene when he was replaced by Dennis “dennis” Edman on NiP. He was recently negotiating with Fnatic to replace Maikil “Golden” Selim but it didn’t proceed after Fnatic won two back to back events under Golden’s in-game-leading.

P.S: It’s not an April fool prank, it’s happening for real.

Stewie2k quits Cloud9, moves to SK Gaming

2

Jake “Stewie2k” Yip officially joined SKGaming. This was announced by Captain Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo on Twitter.

However, he will be trying out for SK Gaming in the coming weeks and will be taking Epitacio “TACO” de Melo’s spot on the active Brazilian lineup on a trial basis. It’s unclear whether Stewie2k is contracted to SK, but he was let out of a recent multi-year agreement with Cloud9, according to C9 CEO Jack Etienne.

In a TwitLonger post, Stewie2k explained that he left C9 because of a last-minute offer from SK. However, he is already at the SK house.

“These are the opportunities that don’t come around and maybe even comes only once in a lifetime. It’ll be different every day I wake up. I thought hard about this and the most important reason that I did not want to leave because the organization and team were a home to me and it felt like i’ve essentially built this team. Leaving them means I don’t believe in them anymore but that’s not the case. We won a major together I’ve seen the potential in this team. I thought about what I wanted and that’s to keep competing, win titles, and raise trophies. Tactically speaking about Cloud9, I feel I make an impact on leading the team on T side but it may not always be the best or even make sense and that comes from experience. I wanted to experience a different in game environment with players who’ve touched the top. I feel like Counter-Strike has many styles and there are so much in the shadows to explore When I first joined Cloud 9, I performed well and showed hope when I was an Indian rather than a chief. I wanted to try becoming a chief and I’ve tried both sides of the spectrum now. I feel my potential can hopefully be unleashed eventually under a strong leader. This decision has got to be one of my hardest ones so far in life and it hurts even more because my connection with these boys are strong, but I had to choose what I thought was best for my career.”

Stewie2k played for Cloud9 since January 2016. With it, he became the champion of ESL Pro League Season 4, DreamHack Open Denver 2017, iBUYPOWER Masters 2017 and The ELEAGUE Major 2017.

With Stewie2k’s addition, SK Gaming now have :

  • [flag country=”br”] Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo
  • [flag country=”br”] Fernando “fer Alvarenga
  • [flag country=”br”] Marcelo “coldzera” David
  • [flag country=”br”] Ricardo “boltz” Prass
  • [flag country=”us”] Jake “Stewie2k” Yip

Report: Stewie2k to join FalleN and co.

1

According to VPEsports, Jake “Stewie2k” Yip has already been bought by Team Immortals & the current SK Gaming’s roster is expected to join Immortals along with Stewie2k as their fifth player.

On March 22, Epitacio “TACO” de Melo left SK Gaming and several insiders reported that the team would bench Ricardo “Boltz” Prass and instead of the Brazilians, Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev and Egor “flamie” Vasiliev would join the active-lineup. On March 23, it became known that the duo remained in Natus Vincere. On March 26th, sources have reported on the transition to SK of the champion of ELEAGUE Major 2018 Stewie2k. The founder of Flickshot.fr, Guillaume “neL” Canelo also said that TACO received an offer from Cloud9, but he rejected it instantly.

VPEsports reported on the possible departure of SK Gaming’s CS:GO roster to Immortals. The sources of the portal claim that the Brazilians are not satisfied with the management and the club – with the financial requests of the players. Head of Immortals- Noah Winston has not confirmed the rumour but has promised to sign the Brazilian lineup.

Skadoodle: Currently inactive with CS:GO and the future is uncertain

0

One of North America’s finest sniper, Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham announces his retirement from the competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene and he’s no more part of the active Cloud9 roster.

Skadoodle declined to explain the decision. He just tweeted that his future in CS: GO is vague.

Skadoodle achieved the biggest win of his career on Jan. 28, when Cloud9 won the ELEAGUE Major: Boston. They became the first North American roster to ever win a Major event. He was also the longest standing player on the Cloud9 CS:GO roster.

Additionally—as Stewie2k is rumored to join the Brazilian squad along with FalleN, Fer, Coldzera & Boltz—Cloud9 have reportedly been looking to find a Swedish replacement, Richard “Xizt” Landström. Cloud9 are in the midst of negotiations with Xizt’s former team NiP as the 27-year-old is still under contract with the Swedish organization, HLTV reported.

According to insiders, Cloud9 may lose another player. The 24-year-old is being replaced by former Team Liquid AWPer Josh “JDM” Marzano, according to DBL Tap.

Cloud9’s roster now consists of :

  • [flag country=”us”] Jake “Stewie2k” Yip
  • [flag country=”us”] Timothy “autimatic” Ta
  • [flag country=”us”] Villas “RUSH” Wierszba
  • [flag country=”us”] Tarik “tarik” Celik
