Blakeley Wins First Race Of 2022 F1 Esports Series Pro Championship

0

Lucas Blakeley, a new McLaren Shadow signee, won Wednesday night’s race and took the first win in the 2022 F1 Esports Series Pro Championship presented by Aramco.

The Scot started on pole and led confidently from the start. However, he had to overcome Jarno Opmeer, who was the reigning champion, in order to win. In a perfectly-orchestrated move, he and McLaren Shadow team mate Bari Boroumand got past Opmeer’s Mercedes coming down the main straight on Lap 21.

Opmeer ran late in the race on the tyres that were too hard to do an overcut. He won comfortably ahead of Boromound, Blakeley and Thomas Ronhaar, who lost ground in a fierce battle with Frede Rasmussen and new Haas sign Thomas Ronhaar.

Ronhaar, the Pro Exhibition champion, was having an incredible debut after qualifying second and running in top five for most the race. However, Ronhaar suffered damage in the four-car melee that ensued and was forced to retire.

Opmeer was leading going into the final stages of the race. However, the McLaren Shadow pincer movement that occurred on lap 21 saw his medal status drop from gold to bronze. On the final lap Mercedes’ leader man did bite back, defeating Boroumand at Turn 1 and taking second place, but Blakeley was too far and ended up as the filling for a Papaya sandwich.

Simon Weigang, a resurgent driver who more than doubled his 2021 points total on his Aston Martin debut, was just behind the trio. Dani Moreno was fifth, followed by Sebastian Job and Brendon Leigh, Nicolas Longuet, Josh Idowu and Nicolas Longuet, who made their first starts at AlphaTauri and Alfa Romeo.

This is the new text I used:

Frede Rasmussen started in P10 and was penalized for corner cutting in-game and by the stewards. He also received a penalty for making contact with Ronhaar. After the in-game reprimand was overturned, the Dane was promoted up to P8, which gives him four points. To complete the points, Longuet & Idowu were relegated to P9 & P10, respectively.

This result places McLaren Shadow in command of the team standings following the first race. Blakeley had won the Bahrain maiden race 12 months earlier.

The 2022 F1 Esports Series Pro Championship will be returning to Imola on Thursday night. You can catch the qualifying stream on Twitch at 1430 UTC and YouTube. The race stream will begin at 1830 UTC on Twitch.

Valorant Chamber Nerfs Coming In Next Patch

0

In the most recent entry of the State of the Agents blog series, Riot made the announcement that Chamber would be receiving nerfs because, in the opinion of the game’s creators, he possesses “too much strength.”

In the meantime, some other agents, such as Fade, will undergo future modifications, and Cypher might receive an upgrade.

Chamber’s ability to quickly teleport away from any threat while also being able to hold the flank has made him one of the most popular agents in both ranked and professional competition.

Chamber to be hit with nerfs, Fade and Cypher to undergo changes in VALORANT

In Patch 5.03, he took multiple hits to his power, including reductions to the effectiveness of his Trademark, Rendezvous, Tour de Force, and Headhunter abilities.

Due to the fact that Chamber is still dominant in the professional scene, he will be subjected to additional balance changes in the near future. According to RunItBack.gg, Chamber was recognized as being the most well-liked agent at VALORANT Champions, which kicked off on August 31.

At Champions, Fade had a pick rate of 53.85%, making him the second most popular valorant agent overall. Riot could choose to weaken her in some way as a result of the dominating presence she’s maintained in the game ever since it was first released. Riot noted previous modifications to agents like Phoenix increased the duelist’s win percentage.

Cypher has the lowest pick rate among sentinels at 6.92%. There is a possibility that things will alter for him in the future, but Riot did not release any additional information.

Riot stated, “We’re looking closely at Cypher to understand what improvements he might require to find his proper spot on the Sentinel roster.”

Riot has stated that Fade has overperformed in several aspects of the initiator role and that her abilities will be “adjusted” at some point in the future.

BGMI Stars MortaL and Ocean added to College Books

A college named DAV Chandigarh has taken an enthralling step to not only add the names of esports personalities in a book published by them, but also highlight it as a viable career path for their students. This academic institution has mentioned Mortal and Ocean Sharma as successful esports professionals.

Esports has taken big strides in India in the last five years. The introduction of mobile gaming esports has resulted in an exponential reach of the esports industry in India.

As a result, esports is becoming the new normal with multiple international sports cohorts like Asian Games adding it as a medal event alongside traditional sports.

This growth has led to esports breaching academic corridors as well with Indian institutions taking big steps to include it in their curriculum.

A textbook named “Nirmata” from DAV Chandigarh recently included the names of Mortal and Ocean Sharma under a subsection named “Lucrative careers in the field of esports in India.”

This section also included the photos of these famed personalities on the opposite corners of a page.

There have been other examples of esports being extensively inculcated with academia such as colleges planning to build an esports arena for their students and esports being included in textbooks.

The addition of such write-ups in academic books by colleges will help esports penetrate in a much wider audience with a holistic point of view. This will widen the horizons from just being a spectator to taking on the challenge of pursuing a career in esports.

New Indian Valorant Agent teased by Riot Games in State of Agents

0

The next agent in Valorant has been teased taking notes while munching on some Indian snacks.

Riot Games has revealed details about the Valorant agent Mage. Agent 21 is a controller who seems to like Indian delicacies, Samosas, and Tea.

The soon-to-be-revealed Valorant agent number 21 will be an Indian, and their gear will most likely be water-based.

Photo: Valorant Twitter

We have seen that Controllers are in a bit of a drought, and it feels like we have to go all the way back to ancient times to our last new Controller release with Astra. Aside from Viper, introducing Controllers that can cover large open areas is a blue ocean of opportunity,” – stated Riot developer John “RiotMEMEMEMEME” Goscicki.

There is a wealth of evidence in the image that points to agent 21 being a controller who originates from India. When you save the image file contained within the official teaser, everything becomes much clear.

The file is named after an Indian street snack, “samosachaat.jpg.” Riot has previously referenced the meal in teasers, so this cements it. The blog was finished off by the developer with the Hindi phrase “Jald hi milte hain,” which means “see you soon.”

Now that the official teaser has dropped, players may expect more consistent information about an agent who may use oceanic powers to block the opponent’s vision.

It is far too soon to make any assumptions about how smoke made from water may operate. However, given that Riot used Viper as an example, it won’t come as a surprise if Mage brings an oceanic screen to fend off the competitors.

The upcoming Indian Valorant agent is a controller that works with water.

The first official Mage teaser has ocean puns, an Indian pencil, chai, and Samosas, a South Asian snack. In addition to a breathtaking panorama of the ocean, the background contains a journal that has a scrawled map of India in one of the margins.

KBC mentions ScoutOP, Amitabh Bachchan shower praises

YouTube sensation and Esports player Tanmay “Sc0utOP” Singh was earlier mentioned on the set of Kaun Banega Crorepati run and hosted by Sony India.

On a most recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati dubbed as ‘KBC’ in India, a contestant claimed to have drawn inspiration from ex-BGMI player Sc0utOP when asked about the future of Gaming and Esports in India by the show’s host Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.

Kaun Banega Crorepati is an Indian television show that is broadcast in the Hindi language. It is often referred to by its acronym, KBC. This version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? is the official Hindi rendition of the franchise show.

In one of the show’s most recent episodes dated September 12, contestant Tushar Garg spoke about his hobbies which mentioned playing video games. This indeed flamed the dismal approach of the society who still have their minds fortified against the brewing boom of the gaming industry in India.

Answering Mr. Amitabh Bachchan’s curiosity about the future of Gaming and Esports in India, Tushar spoke about how ex-BGMI player and YouTuber Sc0utOP paved his way from Mechanical Engineer to being a YouTube sensation and having played PUBG: Mobile (now BGMI) for a plethora of S-tier teams.

As stated by Tushar on the set, it seems that the former is an avid fan of Sc0ut and has kept track of the 26-year-old’s career till now. Mr. Bachchan was surprisingly shaken hearing out Tushar’s feedback on the Gaming industry and Sc0ut successfully transitioning from a footballer to an Esports player back in the day.

An empire worth “Crores” was the highlight of his statement which somewhat lured Mr. Bachchan to venture into Gaming and Esports once he plans to retire, sheer sarcasm attached.

Sc0utOP is one of the biggest influencers in the Indian gaming community as often described by his fans and fellow members.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade Mobile Game Announced

0

Ubisoft will bring Assassin’s Creed to mobile devices with jade, a brand new title from China. It takes place in 215 BC. This fills in the timeline between Assassin’s Creed OdysseyOrigins. The game is designed to feel like a mainline entry with parkouring and all. There’s no release date quite yet and all Ubisoft has shown is the classic eagle-flying-over-a-settlement sequence.

One thing we know about Jade, is that it will allow you to create your character. This is a first in the series. Pricing and potential micro-transactions are not known.

Ubisoft tried to make Assassin’s Creed a thing for mobile devices almost as long as the series has been around. Assassin’s Creed: Altair’s Chronicles was the first mobile entry. It was released for the Nintendo DS in 2008.

The iOS and Android versions followed the year. In 2007, the original Assassin’s Creed hit PlayStation 3 (and Xbox 360) in 2007. Although there have been a few mobile-first Assassin’s Creed titles since 2007, Ubisoft has not released any iOS or Android titles.

Ubisoft has begun developing a game that is based on the live-action series Assassin’s Creed. There’s also Assassin Creed Mirage which is the new mainline title, set in the Middle East.
