CSGO Player YEKINDAR announces free agency, finishes Virtus.pro contract buyout

YEKINDAR on his Twitter confirmed he had bought himself “a while back” but wasn’t released from VP until now due to a change of ownership. Just a few weeks ago, Armenian investor Aram Karamanukyan was appointed the CEO of Virtus.pro after obtaining the organization’s trademark.

The Dota 2 lineup has rebranded as VP, however, the CSGO team is still called Outsiders as of the Europe RMR. In March and April of this past year, both ESL and PGL announced that groups related to the Russian government would be banned in retaliation to the invasion of Ukraine, prompting the VP roster to take up the name Outsiders.

YEKINDAR hasn’t competed under the Outsiders name or with that squad since May when he and Timur “buster” Tulepov were placed on the bench. Since the month of July, YEKINDAR has been participating in matches with the North American Team Liquid lineup in the capacity of an extended stand-in.

Since joining the team, YEKINDAR has played a significant role in Liquid’s current run of success in international competition. YEKINDAR’s contributions have been significant across the board. Liquid reached the IEM Cologne playoffs, BLAST Fall Finals with a top seed, ESL Pro League Season 16 grand finals, and Rio Major with a Legends berth with YEKINDAR filling in.

YEKINDAR is now in a position where a prospective move to Liquid on a full-time basis is possible, however, it is not fully assured. In his announcement on Twitter, he intimated that he will be “looking forward to announcing (his) future very soon” as he enters a new chapter.

YEKINDAR thanked his colleagues and said he was looking forward to announcing his future intentions soon. He might join Team Liquid’s active CSGO lineup after playing four consecutive tournaments with them.

Prior to the RMR event at the IEM Rio Major 2022, Team Liquid finished second in ESL Pro League Season 16 after a rugged group stage. The North American team didn’t have great hopes, yet it took the best-of-five grand final to the last map.

Earlier, Steve “jokasteve” Perino – General Manager of Team Liquid, had revealed that they were trying to work on a “nice long-term” deal with YEKINDAR and will hopefully have something great soon.

Team Liquid’s lineup for the Rio Major is as follows:

  • Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski
  • Keith “NAF” Markovic
  • Joshua “oSee” Ohm
  • Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella
  • Damian “daps” Steele (Head Coach)

Dream accused of pedophilia

0

Not even 10 days following his face reveal Minecraft sensation Dream has been accused of pedophilia and grooming by a Twitter user.

On 3rd October 2022 Dream finally revealed his identity during his face reveal session upon which a person named Anastasia identified him as the pedophile who tried to groom her on Snapchat.

In a Tweet made by another user that has put forward Anatasia’s story, she writes how Dream was “flirting” with her knowing that she was a minor and it was during those times when he revealed his identity to her.

https://twitter.com/burner39413705/status/1580589023869153280

The tweet comes with screenshots of Anastasia talking to Dream via Snapchat and iMessage. In the texts exchanged, it can be seen that the pair engaged in romantic conversations, however, it cannot be confirmed that the person on the other end is Dream.

“None of it is appropriate for a ‘fan’ and influencer to be this close, especially since I was still 17 and in school and he knew that. It crosses the line when he’s sending me his huge house/inviting me. The worst of flirt that I recall was on Snapchat and obviously those delete.” she writes.

She has also mentioned that Dream engaged in relationships while being with his now ex-girlfriend, thus claiming that he cheats with his minor fans.

One thing to note, the community however does not resonate with Anastasia as the majority finds nothing wrong with these texts as none of them are inappropriate while there is a handful who believe them to be fake altogether.

“This just feels so petty… Like where in any of the messages does he supposedly “groom” or show any signs of sexual harassment? Also, *how* close were you to turning 18? Like a week? A month? Who cares bruh, 2 year age gap? You parents probably have an age gap 5x as big” writes one user.

Dream is yet to respond on the topic as we wait to see if any fresh evidence supporting Anastasia’s claim surfaces.

Sid Joshi reveals why S8UL has only one esports roster

S8UL founders have built the brand from scratch and their fans have observed this journey. This makes S8UL one of the most beloved content and esports organizations in the world. Despite being into esports, they only have one official esports roster and Sid Joshi, the manager of esports rosters, recently revealed the reason behind it.

Sid Joshi was doing regular streams while some of his fans questioned the reason behind S8UL being exclusively into BGMI esports without venturing into any other titles. Sid answered with a simple explanation on how S8UL remains in business my maintaining a single roster.

As mentioned before, S8UL is the brainchild of three dreamers namely MortaL, Thug and Goldy. MortaL started Team Soul and 8Bit Thug joined him to grow this organization. Sid stated that their entire journey started from zero.

Sid gave a clear explanation while explaining the dynamics of S8UL esports. According to him, a businessman has large amount of money as they tend to invest money to grow it multifold.

S8UL is also the same as the owners are “doing business and charity” as per his statement. Esports is also a business and hence, it was not feasible to hire multiple rosters for profitability.

S8UL Esports has cleverly hired their current BGMI roster which has a lot of fame in the community as well as the firepower to justify their name. Even though the game is banned, S8UL has not mentioned any plans of releasing their current roster or taking any action in accordance to BGMI ban.

Console Gaming’s Percentage in Esports is on the Rise!

0

Esports is the fastest-growing sport in the world. Now, with the rise of the popularity of competitive gaming, consoles are becoming increasingly involved in the space.

However, there has been a growing trend where console gamers are now participating in competitive Esports. And while this phenomenon has been around for years, it has never been as popular as it is today.

With the increase in popularity comes the increase in popularity of console gaming. As console gaming continues to grow, consoles will become more involved in the esports scene.

In this blog post, we’ll examine how console esports gaming has grown, and how they’ve evolved over the last few years. We’ll also take a look at the current trends in this space.

How is console gaming different from PC gaming

  • Console games were once considered to be made for recreational gamers who just wanted to play arcade games at home. Then came the Next-gen consoles in 1994 where graphics caught up to their pc counterparts.

This gave gaming consoles comparable graphics and functionality to the PC and paved the way for more complex gameplay that could rival PC games. Sports and fighting games became more and more strategic, and the competitive scene started to take shape.

  • Meanwhile, PC games were more strategic, games with lots of options and commands to make use of the keyboard’s numerous key options.

PC games were mostly composed of first-person shooters, adventure, and strategy games that catered to a subset of video game players. Once personal computers became less expensive and popular, more and more people organically created the demand for competitive play.

What made console gaming competitive

  • Streaming platforms like Twitch and Youtube also popularized competitive console gaming as they were no longer merely adventure and platform games. More and more people saw the skill gap between the best players and the regular recreational player.

Streams of the best fighting game players would create curiosity and wonder about how to settle who the best is. Some players even paid skilled players for coaching and tips to improve their game.

  • Online play on consoles also had a hand in creating a competitive scene for console games. People from around the world could now settle and keep records of who the best players were. This ability to connect hundreds of thousands of competitive players on consoles made rankings matter.
  • Video game online store ecommerce popularity also gave way to digital and physical games. The advent of purchasing digital games for your console made it cheaper and always available. Mass market availability and online play created a competitive spirit long overdue for console video games.

Source: Statista

It’s because esports is becoming more popular, and the fact that consoles are becoming more powerful. Most next-generation consoles like the PS5 have almost closed out the gap versus mid-tier, even some mid-high PC gaming specs.

Console-esport gaming used to be popular only with the fighting game crowd, something that is reminiscent of the Arcade tournaments of the ’80s and ’90s. Things started to expand to sports and racing games as the next-gen console’s graphical capability and power began to catch up.

As consoles continue to improve in graphics quality, they will become more capable of running games at higher resolutions. Higher resolutions allow for sharper graphics and more detailed textures.

  • Fighting – Tekken, Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter, Killer Instinct, Super Smash Bros, Mortal Kombat, etc
  • First-Person Shooters – Call of Duty, Halo
  • Multiplayer Online Battle Arena – Mobile Legends
  • Racing – Gran Tourismo
  • Sports – Fifa, NBA 2k, Madden
  • Third-person Shooters – Gears of War, Splatoon 2

How big Console game Esports has become

Source: Insider Intelligence

The biggest and most prestigious known console esports event is the EVO or evolution championship series. It is a collection of the biggest console-fighting game tournaments all in one place. From Super Smash Brothers, Mortal Kombat, and every Street Fighter or Marvel fighting game that has an audience. It is a collection of fighting game tournaments where the best of the best in the world duke it out for supremacy.

The Evolution Fighting Game Tournament Series is the largest and longest-running fighting game tournament in the world. Over the years, the fighting games community has evolved and changed, and we continue to see new genres and titles emerge. This event has grown console esport gaming to what it is now.

In 1996, two friends, Tom and Tony Cannon ran a series of arcades in San Jose and Cupertino. By 2002, the company made a lot of money and has grown into a global video game and home entertainment company.

 Conclusion

Console games have come a long way in Esports gaming. Back then Esports gaming was primarily focused on PC Real-time strategy games such as Starcraft Broodwar and first-person shooters such as Quake and Counterstrike.

The next-gen gaming consoles that have come out since the inception of the Playstation and the succeeding iterations it has spawned have since then grown the console gaming culture into a more competitive one.

Console Esports gaming is here to stay, and with fighting games leading the charge, there’s no limit to where this growth can lead to.

How to Get Early Access in Valorant?

0

Riot Games is constantly introducing new updates, Agents, and maps to Valorant that they ship out to the game alongside new Acts and various patches. However, did you know that it’s possible to get early access to many of these stuff before their actual release date?

In this article, we’re gonna take a look at how you can get early access to the Valorant updates and try out new Agents, Maps, and other changes before their release.

How to Get Early Access in Valorant

The first and most common method to get early access to Valorant updates is through the Public Beta Environment (PBE). To get access to the PBE servers, players will need a clean account free from bans or restrictions, and they need to be a resident of the North America region. Interested players can apply to be a part of the PBE here.

Do note that while PBE servers will enable you to test out many changes before their release, you won’t be able to try out new maps and Agents through this method.

In order to be able to try out new Agents and Maps prior to their release, you’ll need to be either an influencer or a part of a media outlet. If you believe that you meet the requirements, you can contact Riot Support and ask for a shot at the game’s early access.

We at TalkEsport had the chance to test out the newest Valorant Agent Harbor, the new Battle Pass, the revamped UI, and many other changes that you can read all about on our page.
