G2 Esports’ Pengu has decided to end his five year long illustrious career at Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege and transition into the role of a content creator within the organization. If we take a look back at Niclas’s achievements, it all started in 2016 when the latter joined PENTA in February 2016. Under the German force, Pengu helped them bag 3 Pro League titles including two consecutive championships including the first at Katowice, Poland and the other in Cologne, Germany. At the start of 2018, Pengu alongside his team went on to win their first ever Six Siege Invitational against Evil Geniuses which is annually held in Montreal, Canada.

The 23 year-old Dane was later acquired by the multi talented french side, G2 Esports in August’18 under whom he won three S-tier tournaments in just a span of 7 months including his second triumph at the Six Siege Invitational held in 2019 earlier followed by the Six Major held in Pais, 2018. Apart from his professional career, he raised his voice against the notorious stream snipers where he had stated,

I am unable to enjoy the game in a fair 5v5 environment. Every time big streamers try out our game they get nothing but cheesed by snipers. This whole game revolves around information, stream sniping ruins the most core aspect of this game. Can’t overstate how bad it hurts streamers in Siege; it’s like playing poker and everyone seeing your hand.

Pengu has now taken up the “Content Creator” role within G2 Esports and will continue streaming on Twitch

We at TalkEsport would like to wish Niclas good luck in his future endeavors.
