The success did not come overnight for Vitality. Having started with a French roster back in 2018, the roster had to wait before it tasted success. Their first trophy came at cs_summit4, where Mathieu ‘Zyw0o’ Herbaut took home the MVP. The team started to show what they were capable of but always missed out on a Major until the final one of CS:GO. BLAST.TV Paris Major saw the team lift its first Major, and they have earned two more following the release of CS2.
With countless trophies in the interim, the team has always been a force to be reckoned with despite undergoing some rough patches in their 8 years of existence. Through the tough times, Vitality always remained in the conversation for trophies, with ZywOo always featuring in debates about the title of the best player in the world.
With tremendous success earned in Counter-Strike esports, it hardly comes as a surprise to fans who have followed their journey since 2018. From challenging Liquid, Astralis, FaZe, NAVI, and now Spirit and Falcons, the team has continued to remain a top side through eras and has marked its own era with unrivalled success. With other teams on the list lagging in form, it is only a matter of time before they expand their lead further.
